Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I also feel like 30% is where I start getting interested. I still wouldn’t buy something just because it was 30% off, which I have some friends do all the time. “Oh, look it is 30% off, I am going to get it”, when they hadn’t needed it or even mentioned wanting one! Not for me. As we all know, most of my shopping is for my daughter. I don’t need anything more and Aislinn has already given me an ultimatum that she wants most of my stuff sold before I pass away so that she doesn’t have to deal with the headache of it so that is my plan for spring. I am going to box up what I want to keep and store it in my brother’s basement and then just open the house with a notice that everything in the house must go. When Aislinn comes home at Christmas, we are going to go through and pack up what she does want of my stuff so that it is easier for me to do my part later. When I think about it, it is overwhelming!!

I no, I have quite a library also and my taste in reading material is not my daughter’s. She is of course, a product of the IT age and rarely reads an actual book. She prefers poetry and in some ways, more immature books. My daughter is quite intelligent and completed her schooling with honors. Her attraction to what I would call teenage literature puzzles me. I have tried to move her to other genres but she is resistant. In any event, like you, I have a ton of books and have started going through them to determine what I am keeping and what I will feel comfortable getting rid of. I like almost all genres and have a broad interest. When I was growing up, I read encyclopedia’s just for fun and have a wealth of useless information stored in my head.
My daughter is going to go through my makeup when she is home at Christmas and will see if there is anything she wants before I get rid of it all.
It is sad to think about getting rid of things that I have spent my life collecting. If she planned to have any children I would save some things for my grandchildren but she has assured me she is not having children. She has no interest. The other sad things is when I think about the amount of money I spent to purchase these collections and how little I will recoup when selling in the backwoods of Montana, I get a little physically
ill !!

At least 20%, a significant and useful gift with purchase (customizable preferably, but at least not dump almost expired crap) and the cash back must be at least 10%.
But honestly, I can get 20-25% off Paula’s Choice at least every other month and even MAC has 30% off sales randomly 2-3 times a year… so sometimes Black Friday deals aren’t even that big.

I tend to buy more indie brands for everything these days and I know they can’t do as big of discounts. So I’ll go for 20% off + free shipping on any order (or at least free shipping on a much lower threshold than usual). Especially if their usual sales are 10-15% off or if it’s the only sale they do per year.

This year I think the only sales I’m going to do are Dracula Clothing pre black friday because I really want a new brocade corset, and Nomad Cosmetics cyber monday because I want the Ghost Town USA palette.
