Since I’ve barely been wearing makeup for the past four weeks, my most-used products are Clinique Mild Liquid Facial Wash and CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion. On the rare occasions when I go to the grocery store, I wear Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Au Naturel, Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara, and Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in Grey. The rest of my face gets covered in a mask.

Our office Zoom meetings are audio only, so I don’t bother with makeup (or hair or clothing that isn’t pajamas) all week, but I have a Zoom happy hour with friends this Friday and I’m really looking forward to wearing lipstick for it.

Clinique Nude Pop Cheek Pop

MAC Studio Fix Foundation Powder
NC 20 sample. Holy cow this little guy goes a long way!

Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35

And some random shades to dupe the vibes of the ND Retro mini since I’m trying to avoid purchases on unnecessary items like makeup during this quarantine. Mostly playing with Juvia’s Place Douce. NARS Stud. MAC Marsh. A rose shade from MUFE. I don’t know its name.

Hard pan from just using a brush… guess I’m not cut for it. 😆
I had my share part of GWP from MAC. At some point they were offering mini mascaras, and I basically lived on free mascaras for 6+ months, using just one sample per month. But most times, they weren’t even that dried out after 1 month… and those MAC mini mascara are tiny (but with a decently big brush for my small eyes).

Workdays (from home) have been almost always usual make-up. But was is always on is foundation (Clinique Even Better Refresh, which I can’t wait to finish), concealer (MAC Prolongwear, old love), powder (Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage, basically scrapping the last bits and another won’t repurchase), eye brow set (NYX Tinted Brow Mascara) and mascara (MILK KUSH). The most used eyeshadow was MAC Haux, either as an all over eyeshadow, either at base for other eyeshadow like MAC Star Violet.

I have a follow up question, Christine: Out of those five products how many have been products you were testing, and how many are ones you just keep reaching for despite what products are on your to-do list?
Because for me, almost everything on my list has been for test reasons.

1. A new lipstick formula in its primary test phase.

2. A multipurpose pressed powder range of highlighters in “Post-Release Continued Testing“ phase.

3. A glitter gel with natural mineral glitters that’s also in the “PRCT” phase.

4. A toner that I developed about a year ago that’s completely changed my skin. I’m technically still testing it because I’m a bit of an obsessive perfectionist, but I genuinely love it and haven’t had a breakout since I started using it regularly. I’m not including the product’s name or the brand because I don’t want to use your platform for self-promotion. I did it once and have felt guilty ever since!

5. Rimmel’s Brow Pro Micro brow pen in the lightest shade (Blonde). Not only is it a good match for my very light brows, but I can use it to lightly accentuate the only two freckles I have under one of my eyes. My brows and twin freckles are two of my favorite features but I wish they were just a tiny bit more noticeable; the Pro Micro has been the perfect way to do it, and it’s the lightest shade of brow pen I’ve ever found and you can actually build it up to a darker blonde if needed. It’s been my new best friend lol.

MAC BB cream in Light Plus and Medium- trying to use them up.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural powder – trying to use it up
MAC Give Me Sun! Bronzer
MAC Prep & Prime 24 Hour Extend Eye Primer
MAC Haute & Naughty

The eye shadows, blush, highlight and lipstick have varied. Even though I’m staying in, I still wear a full face everyday (I just love putting on and wearing makeup). I’m finally able to get to all of the eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks that I’ve wanted to try.

Lancome Teint Idole foundation, Araceli Ojos Perfectos liquid liner, Maybelline Great Lash mascara, Makeup Academy fiber brow gel, and Makeup Revolution banana powder. All loves of mine and very reliable for long work days since I’m an essential worker.

I am discovering that I gravitate more towards cream products, and since I’ve given up wearing foundation (which my skin LOVES me for) I find that cream products look the best since they’re so natural.
The top 5 most used products for me are;
1. Nudestix Nudies matte in Bare Back
2/3. Charlotte Tilbury cream shadow in Bette with Marc Jacobs Topaz Flash on top – it is a gorgeous and quick combo!
4. YSL Glow Shot Liquid Hightlight
5. Essence Brow Gel

I’ve only been shopping for a new refrigerator since this has begun and I had makeup and lipstick on the inside of the mask when I took it off lol. I am only usually wearing my skincare products everyday; Caudalie Beauty Elixir, The Ordinary Hyarulonic Acid 2% + B5, Olay All Day UV Moisture Creme Normal, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Oat & Hemp Seed Dry Oil.

Nikki Avatar

YSL The Shock Rough Burgundy mascara, Melt Muerte palette, Revlon Super Lustrous Stormy Pink lipstick, Marc Jacobs Enamored lip gloss (most often the shades Love Buzz and Ch-Ch-Changes), and Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes (shades Unstoppable, Paaarty, Dollface, Blushing Bride, and Natural Beauty).

They work, but they do not look as good as extensions. I have the type that attaches by magnetic liner. I typically do not wear black liner, but since I am a complete doofus with lash glue and lashes, it seemed to be the route to go. The magnetic liner helps a lot with application.

Between my nails, rootage, and wonky extension hangers on, I’m a wreck and I’ll take the help even if it isn’t optimal. There’s a pandemic beauty meme floating around and I swear it looks just like me ???

Been home for over a month. However, since we’re required to wear a mask outside, I skip on everything else but have gone ham on blue eyeshadow!

Skincare:
Inkey PHA Toner*
Etude Soon Jung Emulsion (moisturiser)
CeraVe Baby Moisturizing Cream (hand care)
Inkey Kaolin Clay
Mongo Kiss lip balm, unscented

Makeup:
Essence Stage eyeshadow base
Juvia’s Place Cleopatra blue, Nubian 2 pal.
Nairobi + Nefertiti, Nubian 2 palette
Essence You Better Work mascara

* I cannot recommend this enough, if one is sensitive to AHA/BHA, this is a must try.

Skin care would be my first 5, but after that, or in addition to:
Tatcha The Serum Stick
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation (185)
Kosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation (3.5)
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Finish (fair 1)
(tie) Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Palette (Darya)
(tie) Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand (fair-medium)

I’m enjoying the extra time to do a full face everyday, with some experimenting. But on the regular:
It CC Cream.
It Illuminating Concealer
Essence Mascara (purple one)
A Laura Geller powder foundation (med.) that’s too dark for me but perfect as contour/crease shade
MAC Brow Pencil (stubby, slightly powdery – don’t know the name, dc)
Toggling between my pandemic-sale blushes for more intentional pairings w/ lipstick: either
Cover FX Warm Honey or Pink Dahlia, or MJ Lines and Last Night.

Coloured Raine Royal Liquid Lip
Nyx Vivid Sapphire liquid liners
