A note-for-note, accurate dupe of Donna Karan’s original Chaos. My all-time favorite fragrance that never failed to attract complements, especially from men.
I’d love to get decants of two Chanel Les Exclusifs (Coromandel and No. 22). I just can’t bring myself to spend $450 on one bottle of perfume. Other than that, I own more than 50 full-size bottles of perfume, and I don’t really have any gaps in my collection.
WOW, Seraphine you are a true perfume lover. I don’t know why I haven’t really been into scents but I am sure that my pocket book appreciates that I have stayed away from delving too deeply into scents. I have purchased a lot of them but for my daughter. She has expensive taste when it comes to perfume. I can be happy with a drugstore perfume if it smells nice. Hence, my journey to find Ben Hur!
Always on the lookout for Couvent des Minimes Eau Sereine, the best lavender scent. Smells amazing sprayed on linens. I remember when Ulta used to carry it… :*- (
Had to go look it up. It sounds lovely. Was it a L’Occitane scent? I see one by L’Occitane that is billed as a pillow spray and is on Ebay for sale. Just curious as I am going to Denver in 10 days and there is a L’Occitane store at the Cherry Creek Mall. My daughter and I have already made the decision to live there the weekend of the concert. Free standing Chanel Boutique, Hermes, Gucci, Sephora, Nordstrom’s, Macy’s etcetera. I may never leave.
I don’t think I am really longing for a particular perfume or even certain notes. Because I am not a real connoisseur of perfume notes, I generally just smell around and then buy what grabs my attention. I know that I like Tom Ford Lost Cherry although it is bordering on too sweet for me. I also want to try the Izzy Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Pure Nectar and L’Eau d’Issey Pivoine. I have not smelled either one and never see them in stores so not sure I want to take a chance ordering them and then hating them. I feel like the original Izzy Miyake and Joy are with Vanille Intense are my most used and loved scents. I don’t actually follow seasons or trends in wearing perfume, I just wear what I like. I use to wear CK Eternity every single day for about 3 years and sort of burnt myself out on it but always got a ton of compliments when I wore it. It also had the added benefit of being a scent that my sister hated and always claimed to be allergic to so I had an incentive to wear it, LOL! She recently purchased a small bottle of it and brought it with her when she visited this summer. I tried to tell her not to buy me gifts, in a nice way of course. She wants to buy her way back into my graces but it isn’t going to work. I can’t support anyone who supports racism.
I’m good with what I have! The only one that I would ever be looking for would be a replacements for Avon x Christian La Croix Absynthe and (not sure if the next one is still available or LE) YSL Black Opium Nuit Blanche.
There is one particular real-life scent I’m trying to find a replica of, but have yet to find. To be fair, I haven’t looked very hard, because I can’t justify spending money on fragrances right now! Also, an eau de toilette (or stronger) dupe of that hand sanitizer I was using as a body spray lol.
I have a lot of perfumes myself and would dearly love to have another bottle of D & G’s Sicily, which has been d/c. and I do love unusual scents that I can’t afford.
Have you thought about getting decants of the unusual scents that you can’t afford? That’s what I do. As a matter of fact, I have a shipment being delivered today! š
A fresh winter scent. Smoky and pine but clean and fresh.
There’s a YT video by “The Perfume Guy” called “Awesome Pine and Fir Fragrances” that might have one you like.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
I have a great collection of 107 scents and am thinking on getting Chanel 1957. I donāt like much of Chanel and Tom Ford either but may try Tobacco Vanille in the future and maybe a house of oud. Pretty much done for the most part. See my collection on fragrantica if youād like.
While I have TF Tobacco Vanille, it isn’t my favorite. It doesn’t smell “tobaccoey” enough for me. I love making up words. I find that the ratio of tobacco to vanille is off for me but you may find it perfect. I love the combination of the two scents but would prefer something a little more balanced. If I want to smell of just vanille I would use a different and better vanille scent.
Hey Deborah thanks for your input. I may have to check that out before Iām all in.I love Naxos and I also have to my Father. I do love the tobacco scents.
How do you store them?
Hi Jeannine- I have shelves that I bought at macys that I display them on in my bedroom.nothing fancy .
