You may like the Smashbox Punked CoverShot palette. It has a muted cool toned purple/gray color story and the formula is great, especially the mattes. The shimmers have more of a pearl finish than the typical foiled metallics seen now but a wet brush can intensify them. Don’t be fooled by the small size because I’ve had mine for 3 years, use it regularly and just hit pan on the matte shade I use the most.

Yup – exactly the shade you described, Christine. Adaptogen is just the type of shade I love, along with colours like Sumptuous Olive (discontinued now, isn’t it?), MUFE Reptile, the CT The Rebel palette, ABH Bronx, 3 of the shadows in the Huda Jaguar Obsessions palette – all those murky greenish bronze shades. I could probably fill a page with favourites in that sort of category but I’ll leave it there, as it would be pretty embarrassing.

Good grief – how could I leave taupe in all its variations off my list? Shades like Insane Jane and Selfish (the Balm), Satin Taupe (MAC), Lhasa (Nars) and a whole bunch of other taupe beauties? They may have taken a bit of a back seat to that bronzed/green/brown sort of shade but I do still love them!

Mint/tarquoise, the kind of shades which are a mix between blue and green. But not too much dark. Pastels or bright. I’m also a sucker for every duochrome/multichrome with a shifting in this direction. I also like pastel between liliac and blue. As for my neutral, shimmery orange-corals with gold and peachy shimmer.

Metallic avocados and sages, peaches and coppers, bronzes and grieges and antique golds, aubergines and plums….anything muted and metallic.

Also I am a sucker for a cool or neutral all matte palette.

Grey. For years I wore Lancôme’s eyeshadow in Gris. It was unique…not too black…no blue/violet. It was a satin finish and lovely. I tried to dupe it and gave up. I have a few grey eyeshadows. They are underwhelming but wearable.

Look at Devinah Cosmetics Eternal Night “palette”. It’s a collection of their matte singles in shades that go from bright white to black but most are varying shades of gray with different undertones. The collection can be purchased as a whole and it comes with an empty palette or you can buy the singles individually as they’re all part of the permanent line. The Devinah matte formula is fabulous – pigmented and blends like a dream but they’re very softly pressed so one tap of the brush is enough to get buildable color

Can you give me some Dark, antique golds/pewter gold eyeshadow singles that perform outstanding please Christine would love if you have some you can recommend. I own already like Mariella likes; MUF reptile, sumptuous olive, both of them I love….. also love retro beige matte by give me glow its outstanding!
Recommendations please I am light/medium (more medium) neutral yellow leaning so these shades really work well on me!
