Eyeshadow primer (always!), Dior or Clarins concealer, some light, brightening flesh toned eyeshadow (lots to choose from but Tarte Hammock – LE, of course – is a favourite), Sephora Cappucino pencil to line and (in pre-masking times) MAC Craving on lips and Sweet Sentiment blush. Quick, done, reliable. In truth, with just a few tweaks, this is my every day look even when I have more than 5 minutes.
Bobbi Brown’s corrector and concealer, with its powder and MAC’s Fix+. Blush, always! If I’m popping out for just 10 minutes I’ll skip the powder and the Fix+. I’m not particularly loyal to any lipstick but I’ve been loving and reaching for Burberry Pink Blossom and Devon Sunset a lot. They really perk me up.
Ha! I have yet to do a “5 minute” face. But my current “15-20 minute” face consists of
— a base moisturizer (usually The Body Shop Drops of Youth Youth Cream or VDL Lumilayer Primer), a foundation (my newest, Clinique even better clinical serum foundation w/SPF 20),
— eyeshadows from one palette if I can (w/ 3-4 colors used: either Natasha Denona’s Glam Palette or an oldie, but goodie NARS Wanted Eyeshadow Palette),
— a blush (whatever is nearby and matches the eye look I create, but usually either: ND’s GLOW All Over Glow face & body shimmer in 02 medium [make a great bronzer and blush], Surratt’s Artistique Blush in Duchesse, or a recent refund in my makeup kit, Sleek Makeup Blush in Coral 933) and
— a lip gloss (usually Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow, Diamond Milk or a Marc Jacob Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick [so like them] in Uh-Huh Honey or Shine a Light).
5 minute face lol
Totally agree! Lol
I think 5 minutes is me applying all of my skincare in a hurry 🤪
Me too 😂
Sydney Grace The Queen cream eyeshadow, Ulta pink concealer on undereye, Rum Runner blush stix, and either Becca Sorbet lipstick (pink cream) or Marc Jacobs Pink Parade lip lacquer (blue sparkle). Usually can’t resist fitting in a Dandelion Twinkle highlight over my cheekbones.
Primer, one-and-done eye shadow, mascara, an easy lipstick that doesn’t need primer/liner.
I have been dying my brows with Ardell brow tint, and it’s been really nice to not have to do them all the time!
Here’s the whole routine, no matte the time:
5 minutes…
Sunscreen
Foundation (Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation)
Contour (ABH Contour Stick in Fawn)
Eyebrows (eyeshadows from TheBalm Nude Tude)
7 minutes…
+Eyeliner (black/brown eyeshadow from TheBalm Nude Tude)
+Mascara (Isehan Heroine Mascara, can’t remember the full name–not the waterproof version)
15 minutes…
+Eyeshadow primer (Elf putty eye primer in Rose)
+Eyeshadow (any of my singles)
+Blush (any)
+Setting spray (Ulta SPF setting spray)
+Setting powder (Pacifica matte cherry loose powder, can’t remember the name)
25 minutes…
+Lipstick (Besame Victory Red)
It takes me 10 minutes to do lipstick, yes. 😀 That’s what applying with a lip brush, blotting off, and reapplying with a lip brush 5x does…
Becca Dewing Skin Tint all over, a little concealer if I need it(ELF Hydrating Camo, IT Bye Bye Under Eye and Too Faced Born This Way are the ones Im working through). A little powder if I need it, my skin has been a lot less oily lately so I havent needed much the last several months. And then lip balm.
1.) Lumene BB Cream in Medium or MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation NW35
2.) Brows and usually my MAC Orb on my browbone to hide my irritated skin from nervous plucking of strays.
3.) Cream blush, usually Fenty Rose Latte
4.) Lipgloss
5.) If any time left, curl upper lashes and apply a coat of L’Oreal Lash Paradise WP Mascara on uppers, because there’s almost NO lowers to speak of! UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Corrupt on lower lashline, if I have another 30 seconds! LOL
I would assume 5 minutes since the moment my SPF absorbs (I prefer to keep 5-10 minutes between SPF and proceeding with makeup). 😅
Concealer and foundation in one go (I apply concealer under the eyes, a bit of foundation on my forehead and cheeks, blend all together with my fingers), a contour shade on my cheeks and eyelids (something like MAC Sculpt), tinted eyebrow gel, mascara and a my-lips-but-better lipstick.
My current 5 minute face consists of:
Foundation – L’oreal’s True Match in porcelain rose
Eye brow pencil – a soft blond taupe from Models Prefer
Lipstick – my choice for the day
Blush – The Balm’s Hot Mama
Setting Powder – Rimmel’s Translucent
Eyeshadow – for a quick neutral look – Lorac’s Noir – Primrose and Dahlia, Naked 1 – Half Baked and Smog
My Mercier Candleglow. A tried and true Guerlain bronzer. A contour that’s actually a brown MAC eyeshadow. Marc Jacobs eyeliner and ELF WowBrow. If time, a Dior blush. And always my Revlon Mauve Blush lipstick! And I’m out the door!
I don’t really have a 5-minute face, because I arrange my morning routine to allow 15-20 minutes for makeup application. However, if I were really pressed for time, I could probably pare my face down to foundation, concealer, one eyeshadow, a coordinating mascara (I don’t like how black mascara looks on me, so I haven’t worn it since my last school play in high school), and lipstick.
Primer, Laura Geller Baked Balance-n-Brighten Foundation, blush, black mascara, UD 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Perversion (top waterline), and lip balm (we’re still masking).
Eyelid primer
a one and done eyeshadow
MAC powder foundation
eyebrows using CT Brow something (just forgot the name)
one coat of mascara, or two it I was quick with the foundation
lipstick.
If I have time left, a little bit of blush and setting spray.
On a pre-prepped face.
*Quick swipe of concealer under eyes.
*One of my many skin tints (Tarte, Becca, Mac…) with sponge (If I’m even more pinched for time I’ll use my fingers) blend all along with concealer and tap under eyes to smooth.
*Quick set under eyes and along nose and mouth with CT Pressed powder or IT Illuminating pressed powder.
*Patrick Ta Major Sculpt Contour cream under cheekbones and jaw with his Major Sculpt contour brush, blend with sponge.
*Patrick Ta Major Sculpt Bronzer Powder on forehead, jawline and quickly blend atop the cream contour under cheekbones.
*Patrick Major Sculpt Ta Bronzer Powder in eye crease to create some dimension.
*Mascara
*Lip jelly or balm or gloss (which ever I grab–Fenty, CT, Mac, Tarte).
