I’m all for wearing festive reds and golds and such for Christmas, and getting into the festivities with makeup and nails but I can’t say I’ve ever really gone all out with it!

I love it! I think holiday-inspired makeup is generally the same sort of thing, though (gold tones on the eyes, red lips, etc.) unless the look is more of a ‘fun’ theme.

As for nails – the more festive the better! I think nail art at this time of year would be amazing! You can go anywhere from the classic xmas tree/presents theme with rich red, green and gold, or go for a deep blue and icy colours for the snowy theme.

I’m a big fan of colour during the festive season! Any colour applied with the right technique and the correct complementing shades can look amazing!

I suppose it’s not for everyone. I mean, even for myself I don’t usually wear nail art, just single colours. The most I’ll do is a glitter feature nail. But I love looking at nail art, it’s definitely a skill!

Love it but I’d have to stick with one or the other- have the nail art (which I love totally and eagerly anticipate holidays just to do it) but not green and red makeup at the same time for example 🙂

I’m totally with you Christine! There’s enough in life to be sad about, so the chance to celebrate should never be missed.
Christmas is my favourite festive period because you have the rich warmth of greens, reds and golds, but you can cool it down with blues, whites and silver.
My makeup mostly goes seriously metallic – gold and silver at Christmas is a must!
I also do seriously gold nails; foils or just full out glitter.
As for decorations, the more kitsch the better – why not satirise what has become so excessively commercial? I just enjoy the fun of it!

I’m onsessed with holiday-themed nails: reds, greens, golds and glitters – bring ’em in. I always lean towards these colors as Christmas gets closer. And I better don’t even start with the red lips – I love them!!!

I’m not a big nail art person! While I’ll totally wear the colors of the season, I wouldn’t ever decorate my nails beyond that. I like it on other people but not for myself.

I find nail art to be very tacky, holiday themed or not. I don’t even like the look of crackle polishes. When it comes to nails, I don’t go beyond glitter polishes. I do enjoy a nice glitter polish!

The themed beauty products and looks are actually one of the few things I like about the holidays. For me it’s an “excuse” to wear glittery polishes in holiday shades – ChG Ruby Pumps, Sinful Queen of Beauty, NYX Las Vegas, et. al. Peripherally related, I’m also a sucker for all the shimmery body moisturizers and fragrances that come out for the holidays – I’m still using the BBW Twisted Peppermint body mist with plastic peppermints and AB glitter in the bottle from a few years ago, since I save it for the holiday season.

I never got into holiday themes because of my conservative work environment, however, I totally love acknowledging the holidays through nail color, sans nail art.
