Liquid Concealer
Liquid concealer can be really versatile as it sheers out, builds up, and tends to play well with drier skin, so it can work for concealer acne, post-acne, under the eyes, etc. Sometimes, though, they can take awhile to dry down, so they may be more prone to settling into fine lines as they dry down, so they have to be smoothed back out as they develop a bit of tackiness.

They are my favourite formula, in particular ones with luminous finish and light-to medium coverage; however, having drying under eye skin, I have to take care to moistourize my skin properly, otherwhise the formula creases and/or emphasize fine line.
I have reeeally dark blue circles under my eyes. I’ve been been having some issues with ferritin lately so I feel like they’re even darker than usual. Liquid concealers don’t even come close to giving me the coverage I need! Plus they don’t seem to last long for me, by the time I go out to dinner I look like a panda!
And I’ll be honest, my mission in the morning is to look like I was born looking completely and utterly fabulous, and I don’t think I’ve ever achieved that with a liquid eyeliner.
I don’t use liquid concealers for the reasons you mention—-slow dry down, settling into fine lines, finicky blending. And I need more coverage.
I’ve never been a concealer woman. I just always get Covergirl Smoothers Illuminator stick. I’ve ever had dark circles so it does the trick of just lightening a little. If I were to delve into the concealer field I probably would grab Dior concealer that I see Michele Wang use in N2. It looks pretty nice and uncomplicated.
NARS is what I use. Amazing coverage. Blends well. Use it under eyes, nasolabial folds, lip lines, mouth corners.
I don’t even use concealers anymore. I found they make my under eye area look worse, maybe they took away a bit of the darkness, but they make the skin look much more wrinkly than it appears with just a thin layer of foundation. So I’d rather have a bit of darkness than really wrinkly skin under my eyes. I use cream concealer on dark spots and redness on the rest of my skin if needed.
Maybe I’ve just nor found the right liquid concealer, but feel I’ve tried so many with the same result.
My selection for concealer will always be a liquid one (although I like thicker liquid concealers, not the watery like ones).
I like they are versatile, I can use them both under eyes and on spots / blemishes. I have dried under eyes, and I find the liquids (properly set) crease less and don’t emphasize any dryness.
Most brands do liquid concealers at least decently, and most well known brands have a good range of shade selection.
I don’t like that many liquid concealers have a doe foot, which for me is not hygienic. I would like to see more concealers with a pump or airless container.
