The one designer brand that I’m always drawn to is Burberry, and they’ve had a line now for awhile. There isn’t another brand that I really keep up with that I’d want to see a beauty range from! I’m a huge fan of Silvia Pelissero (Agnes-Cecile) paintings, so maybe some packaging from her would be lovely to see.

Miu Miu!
Contemporary/Edgy: Rag & Bone
Classic: Diane von Furstenberg
I don’t necessarily want to see any designers/brands introduce a new makeup line, but maybe some collaborations/collections would be nice. One possible pairing could be Urban Decay & Express; the quality & pricepoints of both are comparable, as well as the variety within both companies. They also share the same primary demographic, which is a plus.
As for artists, all of the ones I care for are long dead, so there would be no actual input, and given the huge disappointment that was NARS/Warhol…
That wouldn’t work. Urban Decay is now part of L’Oreal, and UD’s highest volume customer is 37+. They market to younger women, but those aren’t the spenders.
I would loveeeee a Prada beauty line!!
Also, I would die if Dries Van Noten did a beauty line!
Besides Armani, I’m not usually drawn to (clothes) designer make up, unless they have a long tradition in beauty, and even then, I’m not a big on Chanel or Dior make up.
Anyway, I think the only designer I wish had a make up line is Alexander Wang. I love his aesthetics and think he is amazing when choosing colors.
Christian Louboutin. 🙂
A couple of years ago Christian Louboutin announced a beauty line (it was announced around the same time as Marc Jacob’s line). It named 2013 as the release date but I haven’t heard anything in a while. Hopefully it didn’t get cancelled!
Oh, I hope so too! 🙂
Betsey Johnson!
Artist: Alex Box
Designer: Louis Vuitton
Vivienne Westwood
Betsey Johnson is one. There is a designer named Cat Swanson who it seems is no longer designing (sadly). If she were, she’d be someone I want to see create a beauty line.
Céline as a more classic brand and Mary Katrantzou as an edgy brand (colorful, original and fun)

Definitely, I’m really looking forward to his brushes 🙂
Tracey Reece. A full line of cosmetics.
My mind went immediately to Marc Chagall, and I couldn’t even remember his work. So I googled him, and now I remember. It’s his modern period work. The colors are usually statement-making. And they work well on my skin coloring. That being said, I’m not sure they’d have universal appeal.
Alexander Wang!
Liz McGrath, Camille Rose Garcia or Mark Ryden. I’m really not impressed with most modern designers so nothing doing there.
Stella McCartney signing a luxurious all vegan / animal test free make up line. I’d buy it. 🙂
Austin Scarlett or Christian Siriano. Pretty color combinations and aesthetics, and I love their designs. (:
Lisa Eldridge.
THIS!
Alexander McQueen or Issa.
Vivienne Westwood, without question. I really hope that she collaborates with someone, because given her background and her incredible sense of individuality, I think a collection that she was involved with would be incredible.
Alexander McQueen would have been my second choice. Although I still think the fashions that his house turns out are great, it just wouldn’t be the same without his personal touch on a new venture.
Balmain, Alexander McQueen, and Zac Posen!
Elie Saab or Zac Posen :).
Definitely Kate Spade. The packaging would be ADORABLE!
I was thinking the same thing!
Without a doubt, Alexander McQueen!!! packaging and sense of whimsy and irreverence would be AMAZING!
A line inspired on Klimt’s paintings <3
There’s no one I follow that I’d care to see a beauty line from, I just wanted to comment on Silvia Pelissero – her work is AMAZING. I absolutely love everything she does. I splurged this past Christmas and bought myself one of her paintings from deviantART and every day I find myself just staring at it.
Her work takes up the majority of our wall space! 🙂 Which one did you get? We got ours from DeviantArt, too, and we did the gallery-wrapped canvas – so lovely.
Most of my wall space is dedicated to the Legend of Zelda hahaha so she’s a bit out of place, but possibly all the more stunning for it. Maybe once I actually, fiiinally move out (cough) and get my own place I’ll get some more of her work.
I have “Wake of Herself” on a 16×40 canvas with a jet black frame 😀
We had pretty much no artwork when we lived in an apartment – it was only when we had more space that we did it, so there’s nothing wrong with waiting! We picked up three more of her work when DeviantArt had 40% off a month or so ago. I’m in LOVE with “Green Care,” but need to wait for a good sale!
There’s a 30% off sale right now (and ends today)! I was shocked when I went to the shop today and saw the offer because there was nothing on the home page like there usually is.
Green Care is so so gorgeous. I love how different it is from the rest of her work, but still has that touch of her to it.
Thanks for the heads up! 🙂 DeviantArt seems to run a fair number of sales on the print shop, too.
I agree – it’s very different from her normal style but has something of her in it. I find it so peaceful to look at!
I would like to see Oscar Delarenta cosmetic line , his clothes are so wo melt , maybe Christian Louboutin too !
Lisa Eldridge.
It would be interesting to see a cosmetics line of Ralph Loren, Tomy Hilfinger, Dona Karan and Louis Vuitton !!
I would love to see Kate Spade have a makeup line! All of there purses are so cute I bet there packaging for makeup would be even better!
Your line Christine ! I would also love to see a LV and Prada one too, fingers crossed ! 😀
As for artists, I would love a collection or line inspired by Rococo or Renaissance art 🙂
