EYESHADOWS! Creams, liquid, singles, sticks, palettes, and quads – I don’t think I’ll ever stop collecting them. Other than that, blushes, lipsticks, lipliners, mascaras, face primers, setting sprays, fluidline/gel liners, brushes and nail polish.

I’ll leave both responses here 🙂 I like these questions.

MOST-REPPED CATEGORIES: Pencil liners, absolutely #1 is lipstick/lip products in general, single shadows, palettes (custom and premade), blush, highlighters.

LEAST-REPPED CATEGORIES: Powder foundation, bronzer, foundations/concealers in general, color correctors.

Mine is easily eye shadow. By a large margin. Although if you group all my lip stuff together, it might come close. Unless you count palettes by individual color pans.

The cosmetic categories most represented in my stash are neutral eyeshadows and palettes, red lip products, peachy nude lip products, brushes, peachy color blushes.

concealers, blush and brushes! the hunt for the perfect textured and non-creasing concealer is akin to searching for unicorns. so far, have hit jackpot on laura mercier’s secret camouflage + zoeva’s concealer buffer brush. the perfect softness plus consistency means less need of a good base. nevertheless, the neverending search continues…

blush enlivens my pallid complexion and brushes and a new discovery enabled by the numerous beauty blogs i subscribed to. wayne goss brushes are wonderful as are zoeva.

Eye shadows, eyeshadow s and more eye shadow. In addition, eyeliner, makeup brushes and lipstick. I will say my lippies have decreased lately as I’ve been discarding and giving them away.

I’m seriously into having Bare Minerals complexion product back up! Original Foundation in quantity but I have their other foundations, too. Bisque and Mineral Veil, also in quantity. Well Rested too. Their blushes and products like Radiance and so forth. So, major stash, of one brand, though. Then there is the world of lipstick I possess! I have more Colour Pop than I care to admit! Bite Beauty is well represented as well. My favorite of those are medium pink mauves such as Squeeze or Contempo and Bite Pastille also Torte but I do have tons of other shades and formulas. Buxom Full On Lip Stick in more than a few shades though they have been changing lately, I still have a very decent collection of that product. Some of other brands too… <3

Snow, “well rested” is one of my top 4 favorite must have a! I was not impressed with the liquid incarnation. Your thoughts? I apply powder with finger in clockwise, thdn counter-clockwise and it will cover anything!

snowy Avatar

Hi Donya, I tried the Well Rested stick Sephora had. Not only didn’t it work well but the tugging, ugh!. 🙁 I have the Stroke of Light liquid. I guess it works okay with Well Rested and Foundation over, but I don’t find it necessary. I do sometimes use layers of Bisque and Well Rested on different areas I’m aiming to conceal. Amazing how well the BE crushed mineral products work. True can’t live withouts. Bisque more so for me because it works similarly to WR on my eyes. If you haven’t tried it… :))

Foundation! I love collecting and trying on new foundations. I’m quite happy with ELDW but I’m convinced there’s a newer/better one out there!

Bronzer. I rarely even use it but I love collecting deluxe sized bronzers.

Face Primer. Much like foundation, I just *know* there’s one out there that will make my textured, reddish skin look airbrushed lol. Loving Givenchy Acti’mine in Kiwi, looking ahead at YSL Touch Eclat Blur.

Mascara – I don’t even know why I like collecting travel mascara as it’s always covered by falsies!

Matte lipsticks in nudes, dusty roses – how many does one girl need?

Carolyn Avatar

Blush is my favourite but highlighters are starting to catch up. I used to buy eye shadow palettes like every single one was limited edition but I’ve pared down my collection to just the ones I use. I’ll never give up my blushes and highlighters though!

Lipstick and lip products. I probably don’t have as many compared to another makeup junkie, but I would say I have about almost 30? I really don’t have much opportunity to wear them.. (A bit out of place to wear a bold lip in the kitchen), but when I go out I do try to experiment. I like the idea of having a “lip wardrobe” and being able to choose when the mood strikes.

Foundation. In always in search of a great foundation so I have about 6 bottles/ open tubes in rotation. Depends on my shade at the time of year and finish I want. A girl needs options!

This is really easy, lipsticks and by a wide margin. I have a real lipstick obsession. I have outgrown my storage space and still I am buying. I am sure most will go bad before I have even dented them. Only true makeup addicts understand the compulsion, LOL.

Jessika Avatar

Eye shadows (including palettes), brushes and foundation. Those are the main three things I can’t stop buying, ESPECIALLY EYE SHADOW! There’s a variety of brands out there and I feel it’s my destiny to purchase at least two eye shadows from each brand. LOL. Surprisingly the indie brands are the BEST!

Bonita A Schermerhorn Avatar

What’s not, lol. Heavy on lips, eyes, foundations, blush and wrinkle fillers. Love my stash. Honorable mention to my setting sprays and primers. A girls gotta love to love!

Hi Christine and Temptalia,
I have to say that I have an overload of lipsticks, lipglosses, eye and lip pencils and eyeshadow palettes. Between Mother’s Day, Birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, I am not in need of anything. Plus, I instead of flowers on “Husband Day”….( you know ladies the day where your hubby has an “I’m Sorry Day or Moment, Lol.. instead of flowers, this chick gets make-up)! Heheee. Works for me! ?

Eyeshadow of all kinds. In a distant second would be blushes, highlighters, brushes and eyeliners. Nail polish would’ve been on the list but I just went through my collection and uncluttered about 75%. I have a feeling my nailpolish collection will expand again considering how affordable and accessible they are!

Teresa Avatar

Eyeliners. I keep trying new ones all the time to see which will not smudge, gives me the blackest line, and is long lasting. I probably have at least six new ones waiting to get into the rotation. I tend to use one for a while and then switch to something else, on and on. Right now, I am loving the Stilla black Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.

Maria Avatar

I guess a lot of everything lipsticks, eye pencils, blushes, several high end highlighters and a lot of eye shadows. I have stopped making a lot of purchases; unless it is something that I really love.

Elizabeth Avatar

I have too much of everything! I can’t even count how many lip sticks I have. If I like something, I buy it. I have to say, I have more makeup than I will ever use in my life, but I always seem to find a color or a product that is pretty, and I have to have it. I have gotten rid of a lot of my backups because I realized, I probably wouldn’t use them all, I would find something new. I also had a lot of cosmetics that were in my kit when I did free lance work. I sold all the brand new products that I would never use, and gave the used things to my young cousins for Halloween. The only thing I do have backups of are some Urban Decay products, like Gash lip stick. That is my signature red, and a few of the new old school nail colors they released recently. They are exactly the same color as the originals, but they are close enough. I liked the old formula better, but I can make them work if I apply a strong top coat every day.

Wendie Avatar

Lipstick, lipgloss, eye pencils, eyeshadow in various formulations and brushes. I also have a ridiculous amount of nail polish and don’t get my nails done as often as I used to.

Val Avatar

Lipsticks , they are my cryptonite. Then it would be eyeshadow because i can’t help myself i do try keep it in check. Other than that i believe it is an ok amount nothing exaggerated. Would be a lot for people not used to makeup but not that much for someone who knows about it .

Astrild Avatar

I think i have too much of almost everything, especially lipsticks and blushes. But considering the very few times i use lip liner, this part os my collection is unbelievable.

Silvia Avatar

So hard to narrow it down. Lots of eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks, I have my share of blushes too, pencil eyeliners. Lately highliters love them, bit of bronze and new nice brushes! I love a great brush!

SophieW Avatar

Lipsticks. All the lipsticks! I have so many that a literally the same shade too! I’d been searching for the perfect vampy burgundy, but couldnt seem to find it! Literally 10 lipstick purchases later, I finally found it! Stila stay all day liquid lipstick in ‘Chianti’ is the one!

Michelle Avatar

eyeshadow palettes for sure – hubby said I was a palette junkie and I said I was a palette whore – yeah I have a pretty bad lust for eyeshadow palettes!!
