What brand's holiday collection do you look forward to most?

These days, definitely Pat McGrath since there’s a plethora of eyeshadow to indulge in (my favorite category). It would be shortly followed by Natasha Denona (particularly since I think the formulas have improved in the last two years). I’m also a big fan of Bite’s sets!

In the past, I looked forward to MAC’s holiday mini lip sets, but I’ve had too many bad experiences with minis breaking, so I’ve vowed not to buy them anymore. This year, I’m not really looking forward to getting any holiday releases, but I still like seeing them and reading about them.

In the past, I think I really looked forward to things from TooFaced (they used to have some wonderful holiday sets), MAC and Stila. But these days, while I’m curious to see what’s on offer, I’m really not into collections generally and that applies to the holidays too. I’d rather just purchase what I need that interests or excites me.

I love looking at the holiday offerings but rarely pick up anything for myself. I use to dog the Too Faced holiday release as my daughter loved the kitschy stuff but she has grown out of that also. I do like the Hourglass releases and have purchased the palettes each year for my daughter. I probably won’t purchase for her as she doesn’t feel the shades are deep enough for her skin tone. I think they would work fine for her as she is maybe a shade or two darker than Christine but if she doesn’t want it that is fine. I may actually pick it up for myself this year. In the past I have picked up the Charlotte Tilbury lip sets but there is always at least one or two shades that are too light for us to use so I am not going to do that this year.

Over the past couple of years, Pat McGrath, hands down. She knows how to bring it! As I type this, I’m anxiously awaiting the reveal of all her recent teasers on IG about the rest of Holiday ’19! I’m so curious to see what it is. ?
Also, every year I anticipate MAC’s holiday collection. There’s always something I fall in love with, even when it might only be the packaging. Oddly, one year, the packaging looked atrocious, but that was the one where I snagged my cheek duo with Whisper Of Gilt, and the gorgeous Saucy Little Darling lipstick. So, packaging isn’t always everything.

Pat McGrath, because they are major new releases and not “holiday” or “winter” looking. I don’t like owning products that have packaging tied to just one season. I was curious if Shiseido would have any seasonal items because I have been loving their whole makeup line. I’m somewhat glad they aren’t doing seasonal marketing though, as the focus seems to be on well-considered permanent items. I also enjoy visually enjoying MAC’s and NARS’s holiday collections, though I never buy anything from them.

Indie brand releases, always. Urban Decay always. ABH always. ColourPop always. Tarte, though the last few years just for the blush sets. Too Faced, as they often have one or two cute things that I end up getting (not their repetitive big palettes, though.)

This year, I was also looking out for Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, and Huda.

I look forward to the NARS holiday collection most of all. The artist collabs are amazing! I was a little disappointed that they didn’t do that this year, but the Studio 54 theme is still pretty awesome. I also look forward to seeing what Too Faced has to offer, and MAC.

Even if I do get ‘excited’ or interested in any holiday collections, there is absolutely no point as they never come here to Aus…..and if they did, it would be at double or more the price.
But on this blog I do get interested in what all the brands have to offer, because you never know, their might be gold out there.

Not any particular brand, unless Natasha Denona (or comparable quality brands) surprises us with a winter wonderland palette in greens, blues, greys, silvers and snow in a creamy powder formula in iridescent and duo chrome and semi-matte and matte. AND that looks great on mature lids with minimal fallout and all-day hold on pigmentation. Not wanting anything else for the holidays in makeup, but this. ??? Par McGraths’ quads were too all metallic, expensive and Mardi Gras ( though lovely) for me.
