Lipstick!
Lashes! Individuals more specifically. Also foundation.
Red lipstick!!! For the office, it’s MAC Ladybug. For going out at night, I have three favorites: MAC Russian Red, ABH Ruby, and ColourPop London Fog. (Also, I have a sample of Armani Lip Maestro 400. It’s beautiful! I tried it on, but haven’t actually worn it yet. If it wears well, it could very knock London Fog out of my top favorites.)
And there’s one dark fuchsia shade that gives me a HUGE confidence boost for more dressy nights out: Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lipstick in the shade Boudoir. Seriously gorgeous!!
Mascara! All is good when you have lush, full eyelashes. Mascara makes me feel complete and happy!
Concealer, especially under my eyes! I immediately look more awake.
a brow pencil and iT CC cream (the shimmery one). My two minute face
Foundation hides my imperfections.
Concealer; I need to hide an imperfection of one sort or another each day.
Amen to foundation, Christine! That stuff is pure gold for boosting me up. Because underneath it, my skin is awful. Uneven coloring, redness and a few broken capillaries due to years of rosacea, hyperpigmentation wherever I may have had blemishes, and of course a zit or two.
Concealer! A little under my eyes for a brighter look and I’m ready for the day.
Lipstick and not looking into a mirror! There is something about applying lipstick that I just love and I can be comfortable going out of the house with just lipstick or lipstick and mascara. While I mention my hyperpigmentation a lot, not covering it up is okay with me. I wear makeup for myself and no one else and how I look is really only important to me and no one else. I get my confidence from my intellect although spell check doesn’t always let me show it!!
Dry shampoo!
Bold lipstick or a good eyeshadow look!
Mascara! I have very distinct eyes, so drawing that extra attention to them makes me feel good. If I’m in a rush I just do my brows and put on some mascara and I feel put together.
Mascara! My lashes are really light to the point where they’re practically invisible unless I slather them in mascara. It seems like such a small difference, but it really does make me look more awake – people tend to ask me if I’m tired when I’m not wearing any mascara.
Concealer. Otherwise I look exhausted and depressed.
This was a really hard question for me.
Eyebrows! I have super sparse eyebrows and once my brows are filled in, I feel like i can conquer the world. Colour correcting is essential as well but eyebrows are the most important.
Brow gel. The confidence boost is knowing my (very few) eyebrow hairs will be exactly where I want them to be, instead of scraggling in a all different directions as usual.
Lipstick! I love to wear bold dark or statement colors (not a fan of brights, like pinks or oranges), I feel like myself, not caring that most people think they’re too much for daily wear… and Diva from MAC is the color that makes me most confident, like I can be my best and concur all. It’s just makeup, I know, but it’s a simple frugal thing that boosts the spirit.
A toss up between foundation and lipstick – lipstick brightens my face, foundation evens out my skintones….so I really love both.
Tough question , Christina , as there are so many ! I’d have to say foundation if I could pick only one !
If lipstick and brows are done I can slay the world!
Concealer out of necessity with my dark under eye circles. But lipstick is a close 2nd.
Blush. My face has good cheekbones and I like to play it up with shimmery blush or blush + highlighter. Plus, even when my face is completely bare, a tiny bit of liquid or cream blush really perks up everything.
Brows, bronzer, lipstick. Those are my big 3 that I would take on a deserted island. Foundation would be my next choice though.
Bright lipstick!
To only choose one, I would have to go with lipstick for sure. I am never without it, even if I don’t have a bit of any other makeup on. It’s the one thing that perks me up, physically and mentally as well!
Foundation for sure. I have very oily skin and a lot of acne scarring so foundation is the biggest game changer in terms of perfecting my makeup.
Blush! Of course a bit of foundation or bronzer never hurt a ghost. Mascara is a big helper and so is some color in lips as well as eyes. But I’ll go with blush unless I’m running or speed walking then I get real red.
I would definitely say foundation or concealer! Something to hide any imperfections/blemishes!
