Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.
Out of curiosity, Christine, what made you change your mind on the foundation? I remember in the past that you said you weren’t a huge fan of it.
It looks good in photos – I just don’t think it looks quite as nice in person as it does in photos 🙂
This is my experience as well! I looked unbelievably good in pictures – but in person I was an oily mess! It clings to every bit of dry patch too 🙁 shame, because other than that I loved the coverage and the glide. Someone said I literally glow like JLo in my pics, but in real life that glow translated to be an oil slick. Sigh.
Yeah, I like it in person but I don’t go OMG WOW AMAZING! In photos? It’s awesome. So it’s what I wear often, since I’m usually taking photos or video, lol!
what liquid foundation looks good in person?
I like Guerlain Lingerie de Peau or Parure Gold – Parure Gold has more coverage.
Makes perfect sense 😀

Darphin Intral Toner, Skinceuticals Daily Moisturizer, & L’Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. I’m a MUA and even I admit that a good skincare regime eclipses makeup. Since spending the money on really good skin care products I actually eliminated the need tfor certain products… at least for me.

Those are my essentials. That’s difficult to do (I STILL feel like I broke the rules and wrote four! LOL!) I want to steal – er – I mean “pay homage” to this and make a video post about it 🙂
When I saw your reply I wanted to hug the computer!

Anyway, I remember way back when you first reviewed the MUFE HD foundation, you used shade 140, but on the recent videos it was listed as 125. How would you say the two shades compare, Christine?
Lighter, and the undertone in 125 seems to suit me better. 125 is a smidgen too light right now, but once I powder with Guerlain Les Voilettes, it’s great. 140 I think runs a little yellow on me – I am yellow undertoned, but on a 1-5 scale of 5 = strong yellow undertones, I’m maybe a 2-3.
Thank you for the reply! I got a sample of the 140 around last year, and I thought it was a bit too dark on me. I’m around your coloring, although I think I’m a teensy bit lighter and have a slightly more neutral undertone (I’m undecided on this), so knowing what shades you wear definitely helps! Thank you! 😀
125 was a pretty good match when it was spring (where I’d say I’m around NC25, well, maybe NC27 – NC30 looks too dark on me in spring/winter). When I run out, I’ll probably try something between 125 and 140!

None are really makeup related, I’m on a mission lately to make my skin look the best that it can look without makeup on it!

Nars Tinted Moisturizer, Nars Blush in Douceur, Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner
Sonia Kashuk tinted moisturizer, L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes, Benefit Bella Bamba blush
Granted, I rotate everything fairly regularly in my collection – these three have just been on the receiving end of a lot of mileage right now.
Does this include skincare? Because if it does, all three would be skincare products: The Sisleya range of Sisley products.

All Mac here!
Urban Decay Secret Service eyeshadow – I use it for my eyebrows
Benefit Bad Gal lash – I’ve tried other mascaras but always come back to this
Sephora Supreme Cleansing Foam – Best makeup remover I’ve found for the money
I’m assuming this doesn’t relate to skin care or beauty “tools” like primer but actual makeup. (If one considered things like primer, NARS’ Smudgeproof would be #1 on the list!) Anyway, for pure makeup makeup, my 3 would be:
1- NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Punjab
2- NARS Copacabana Multiple
3- YSL matte black eyeshadow (liner, eyebrows, edges of the eyes, etc.)
I keep meaning to pick up the Copacabana multiple and forgetting! I’ll be at the mall this week to buy my new computer (!!) so maybe I’ll drop into Sephora. Would you recommend Copacabana over Luxor for someone with my fair skintone?
Hmm, really hard question, sweetpea, given my singular love for Copacabana. That said, probably the Luxor for you. My sister who is the POLAR opposite of me in style (subtle, subdued, sheer, understated colours!) and skin tone (extraordinarily pale, pale, pale olive but with some slight pink too!) went simply nuts for the Luxor. Nuts. She loved how subtle and delicate it was on her, and she asked me to order one for her *immediately* (which I did, though I ended up giving to her as a present). She was nowhere as keen on the Copacabana which, in Multiple form, is considerably more champagne than the pink it has in the Illuminator form. Me, I love the Copacabana like nothing else! The Luxor barely registers on my skin (though, one has to give it props for subtlety on ALL skin tones, I suppose). Given your perfect Snow White complexion, I think the Luxor may be a better fit for you.
There’s nothing saying I can’t get both, of course *g* But I will probably start with Luxor. Thank you for the recommendation, love 🙂
