I live in a warm climate where fall isn’t cool weather, so I’ll pretty much stick to the same ones I’ve been using this summer—Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic (my favorite), Origins Ginger Essence, and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle (which has recently made a comeback in my life after a 15 year absence). When it cools down a bit, I might add in Armani Sî, E&J Nirvana, Mugler Aura, and Mon Guerlain. I recently opened an old sealed bottle of my mother’s perfume, Annick Goutal Eau d’ Hadrien. I’m not sure if I like it on my skin yet.

I LOVE Hadrien and most Goutals. Bloomie’s used to have a refill program, with discounted refills in your old bottle. These days, with so much waste accumulating, that kind of thing should happen with all brands. In NE, Hadrien is def a summer scent.

I was never an AG Hadrien girl, but I had a girlfriend who adored it. I fell in love with Camille, which I understand AG named after her daughter. It’s a very clean, vibrant green grass scent. Always a summer favorite of mine. My first purchase was in the early 90’s. I’ve never tired of it. AG has so many wonderful fragrances to choose from.

Clinique Aromatics Elixir (I never wear it except in cool weather) and now Replica’s By the Fireplace. Also Shalimar, which I don’t really like all that much but purchased because the bottle is so beautiful and I found it at a crazy affordable price.

I have a very old Shalimar that I have kept because of the bottle. ? I got mine as a gift years and years ago. And, I can’t say I like it too much, either, lol. I can throw a lot of beauty products away — no problem; but not my perfumes. I have kept most (even those w/next to nothing in them) — memories out the ying-yang, I suppose.

All the warmest, spiciest vanillas and leathers! If I could afford it, Hermès’ Cuir d’Ange would be on this list. Instead, I have to content myself with Fan di Fendi Extreme and Bvlgari Black, which is IMHO the greatest most underrated frangrance of ALL time.

Vetivers: Creed (Thanks, Muse, for the 50%!), Guerlain, and 7 Virtues. Cappucci de Capucci. D/c’d I think, but not turned. Old BIG Guerlain like L’Heure Bleue and Mitsouko, but those would probably be after Thanksgiving.

Adding another vote for Maison Margiella’s By the Fireplace. I’ll bring it out as soon as there’s a chill in the air, and wear it all fall and winter.

When fall/winter role around here in Montana which is right now, I switch to heavier tobacco, vanille and fireplace scents so as many have stated I wear By The Fireplace. I also like Vanille Intense and Tainted Love 69 which I carry in a roller ball format to refresh during the day. I also switch out my home candles to several that are “fire”, “tobacco” and fir tree based home scents. Since my daughter works for Bath and Body Works she usually keeps me well stocked with fall/winter candles. I don’t like home scents that are too sweet so a lot of the pumpkin, cookie, etc type scents are lost on me. They are too cloying but I do like several of the fireplace scented candles.

I use Gucci Guilty, though I don’t mind using it year round. I differentiate perfumes more between day/work and night/special occasion than I do by season.

For bodycare, soaps, etc, I like anything apple or pine scented. I’m kind of into the pumpkin spice scent for the first time this year, but only in small doses…too much gives me a headache

My favourite perfume this fall is MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold. Very warm, sweet vanilla with a twist. It feels like being wrapped up in a warm blanket.
Other favorites for fall/winter are Armani Si Intense, Tom Ford Noir pour Femme and Kilian Back to Black.
