We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! MAC Viva Glam V, KVD Lolita, and MAC Velvet Teddy. Partly bc my collection is massive. Partly bc I’m focusing on using up certain lip colors so it makes me not reach for others. Partly bc of my job and wearing a mask, I don’t get a lot of use out of lip products in general. All fine products really. All work on me. Shame really😔

What I wouldn’t give to have Chanel Dragon brought back 🙁

I used to use Colourpop Lumiere, Chanel Mademoiselle and of course Dragon all the time. Still like all of them, just have new favourites

Ive been waiting for this question, Christine!
Now that masks are the norm in public, my entire lipstick collection stays on its turnstile, only 1 lonely gloss in my purse. I can’t stand to see beautiful color wasted on the inside of my mask! Even as an operating room nurse who wears a mask everyday anyway, I made it a point to reapply lipstick throughout the day before COVID! But, they say that N95 masks cannot be reprocessed for use with any make up residue on them , so no lipstick for now! That is why my all-buy these days is skincare!
If I had to choose, I would have to say all of my TF Lips and Boys and all of my Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks have collected the most dust on them!

ONLY due to mask wearing, I will wear them again one day soon, I hope!
Almost every favorite red lipstick I own, except one.
All my pretty purple lipsticks.
Just about every single vampy burgundy, plum, or brown-red.

Clarins Gloss Prodige in Raspberry (discontinued or I’d still be using it), Lip Prodige in Redwood (same issue – discontinued) and a really old Estee Lauder lipstick called (I think) Datenut Red (LE). It was the most perfect autumn colour; I’d love to find something the same!

One particular lipstick sticks out and that is On Hold by MAC. It used to be my favourite lipstick, particularly when I had darker hair. Now that I’ve had blonde hair for the last three or so years (variations of blonde and generally lighter than my natural hair color), I just don’t like it on myself.

Givenchy Le Rouge Brun Creatur, NARS Dolce Vita Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, and Revlon Colourburst Lipstick in Rosey Nude (discontinued). I still love muted corals and rosey brown lipsticks but I have since developed allergic reactions to these specific formulas. Still looking for a good dupe for the first two but have found a good rosey nude in PMG Realness – which is also discontinued. *sigh*

I work from home now and wear lipstick everyday! Just for me.

But I really miss Urban Decay lipglosses that we’re in a squeeze tube. I actually have a few left and am almost at my last two… makes me sad. I am rejoicing at Lancome Juicy Tubes coming back.

Lip tars (OCC went out of business, and other brands stopped making them as better liquid lipstick formulas came out); Max Factor Creme Rouge 537, my perfect red for years (discontinued); Wet n Wild lipliners (I replaced them with BH Cosmetics, NYX, and UD).

Clinique Black Honey, Fresh Sugar Lip Balm (just found a lot of lip balms I find more effective at a lower price point, including their caramel hydrating balm in a pot – but for plain old hydrating + SPF I’ll use Aquaphor), and Lip Venom and “plumping lip glosses” a la Buxom (still like those types of products – I’ve never been one put off by the stinging – I just never seem to reach for them).

From my not quite as distant past, I’m over super matte liquid lipsticks (a la KVD or Colourpop). No amount of lip exfoliation made them look like the promo photos and no matter how carefully or judiciously I would try to place a tiny bit of balm to relieve my parched lips, it would cause the lipstick to smear and defeat the purpose of wearing a long-wearing matte in the first place.

The three lip products that I use to use, but don’t now are:
1. Maybelline’s Sensational lipsticks – apart from Spice for Me, I just find that a lot of their shades turn pink on me now.
2. Milani – apart from Cinnamon Spice, now discontinued, the brand hasn’t bought out any lipsticks that I have liked lately.
3. All Revlon lipsticks – they last about 5 minutes on my lips before disappearing….
