What are five products you want to use more in 2022?

I want to be more consistent about using under eye concealer and brow gel, in general. I think they help, but I always forget those two! There aren’t any other specific shades/products I want to use more of since I know most of my 2022 will be filled with testing mostly new-to-me things!

Hi Sarah: I’ve had to deal with the loss of collagen because of a medical event in Nov. 2020 where I lost 80 lbs in a split second. So, it makes it look like I’ve got raccoon eyes. I’m planning to get a sciton treatment to resolve that so I don’t have to continue with creams, etc. But, I’d recommend Vrea – it’s skin care with a touch of concealer in it. Also, the inkey list “brighten-i”. Sometimes I dab on the emergency eye mask from Versed, too, if I’m looking wrinkly or puffy. Otherwise, I can cancel out the darkness with some orange color corrector – usually I use the cover fx stick or my viseart cream palette. Just a light powder dusting, and then I apply skin tint (and sometimes Becca/smashbox brightening under eye cream) and I look ten years younger and more rested.

I’m determined to actually use my skin care consistently in 2022. I tend to skip days, even weeks, and I’m just too old for that now, unfortunately. Also, I want to go more dramatic on my eyes, before my face collapses under the weight of its own wrinkles.
1. serum
2. night moisturizer
3. sun block
4. liquid eyeliners
5. eyeshadows in bright colors & non-matte finishes

Three eye palettes that should get more use: ABH Sultry, Temptalia On the Horizon (Dark) and the Tarteist one the name of which I can never remember. I really should use all my highlighters more – I’ve purchased quite a few and love so many of the but rarely seem to reach for them, partly for fear of overdoing them (it can be so difficult to see until I’m out in the daylight or at work or anywhere else where it’s “too late” to alter the finished GLARE)

Since I constantly use all of my products, it’s hard to come up with a list of 5.
But definitely I wish to be use lipstick more in 2022, especially bolder shades like MAC Diva or Marrakesh.
Maybe I could also put liquid eyeliner on the list, but the only one I have right now is a Benefit one I got as a backup before the pandemic and haven’t ever opened. 😅 I bet it’s all dried out.

It would be nice to not let my lip products stay for months on end without using them!
Also with mask wearing, I really haven’t reached for blush a lot this past year so hopefully I can use it more this year.

Once the heat of our summer is over, I want to make sure I use the eye palettes I have in more constant rotation – especially ABH’s Sultry (that I have not used much for fear of hitting pan on my favourite shades), Pixi Beauty Reflex Light and some of my smaller quads.
I also want to try and move away from using my constant favourite lipsticks to the rest of those I have in my stash (lots). Wearing masks does not help that situation though.

I saw a review of yours on a liquid luminizer and realized that I hadn’t worn one for a long time, I came to the conclusion that because I didn’t go out for so long after covid first hit and not using makeup for so long I had forgotten all about it. I have a small Rare Beauty luminizer in my travel makeup bag that I really like, I’m going to leave it there for our next trip (hahahaha). I have a Becca luminizing primer sample that I’m going to use for now and it does a decent job.
Otherwise I just need to use all of my eye palettes more.

I literally bought all shares available from Terra Moons and Clionadh this year. I don’t use them often, but I should. Also, my Dior, Chanel, and Tom Ford quads/quints haven’t been used as much as they should be, as I’ve used a lot of singles or larger palettes. I’m also making a concerted effort to use some form of cream as a base before blending when doing my eye looks – I find that it leaves me looking effortless but also not in a way where my makeup fades into the background (Tom Ford creams, Chanel, color pop, Danessa Myrick, Mac paint pots, etc). Otherwise, the only other thing I’m actively trying to do more is use all of my skin care gadgets. When I use them regularly, my skin is on point. (NuFace micro current devices, FOREO UFO, Dennis Gross face light mask thingy, acupressure tools, nurse Jamie under eye device, Dennis Gross steamer, Deminuage microdermabrasion tool, PMD resurfacer & cleaning tool, and also the Michael Todd electronic dermaplane).

Maybe concealer but I don’t have darkness but rather I can get puffy so I hesitate about anything near my under eye. Definitely blush. Years ago I wore Nars Orgasm and wasn’t happy so I let it go. Since then it’s a step I should incorporate. I do remember wearing Bare Minerals (when it was Barecentuals) having a great blush called Golden Gate that was pretty on me. Maybe I’ll try that if it’s still around.

Kevyn Aucoin Prismagic highlighter trio, PMG Celestial Odyssey palette, ColourPop Lust for Dusk palette, the fourth spot’s a tie between NARS Audrey lipstick (the Audacious formula) and using my new NARS products (Schiap and Jolie Mome lipsticks and Night Porter eyeliner), and the last spot’s a tie between the UD Naked Cyber palette and using my new shades of Milani baked blushes.

I want to be able to use more of the CT magic cream. I always get comments when I’ve used it before on how good my skin looks. Just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

Helene Avatar

I honestly can’t think of any, I already have my face fully made up, or completely bare, I use all the skincare I need.
I rotate through eyeshadow palettes, and try to rotate through all other products as well.
Maybe body lotion, something I actually find boring to use, now I only use a rich one on my lower legs, as the skin there is very dry, I could add foot cream, but I haven’t found one I really like.

• Tom Ford Eye Cream and Powder duos
• LYS cream blushes
• Rephr, Wayne Goss and Sonia G. brushes – I get in a rut and don’t like to use my new things. I’ve got over but wanting to dirty my white brushes but I’ve still been using the same bedraggled various others I’ve bought over the years.
• Gel liners
• LE lipsticks I’m trying to finish
