Wet ‘n’ Wild Petal Pusher Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette
Wet ‘n’ Wild Petal Pusher Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette ($4.99 for 0.30 oz.) contains eight eyeshadows spread over two columns. Each column seems to coordinate within itself more than the two columns do with each other. The tone of the palette is rather cool, with the first column being purple themed and the second column being more earth-toned.
The first column consisted of a pale, icy violet shimmered satin white; muted pink-lilac base with pale gold shimmer-sheen; darkened red-toned purple with a frost finish; and medium-dark violet-blue purple with silver sparkle. I found the pigmentation to be a little sheer in both of the lighter shades–a little dusty, too; not nearly as saturated as the two darker purples.
The second column includes a pale, high-frost pink-white; coppery rose mauve with red undertones in a soft frost finish; blackened burgundy brown with a satin finish; and a grayish black with subtle green sparkle and satin finish. The pale pink is extremely pigmented and smooth, while the copper rose shade is a bit sheerer and blends into a very sheer shade when applied. I found the burgundy shade to lean much browner when swatched than it looked in the pan. The darker grayish-black was more pigmented than previous variations I’ve seen in the Color Icon palette, which was nice, but it did fade a bit when worn (after six hours).
my thoughts on the formula: Color Icon Eyeshadows are definitely some of the best eyeshadows you’ll find in the drugstore, and this palette shows both the best and worsts of the formula overall. The frostier shades seem to work the best and have no problem wearing all day (over a base, of course), while the more matte shades tend to lack in pigmentation and fade after a few hours (they don’t disappear, but they do fade noticeably).

Wow, I am definitely going to have to pick one of those up and play around with it. Thanks for the info!
Do you think that any of the lighter shades would be a dupe for the silver lilac color in the NARS Noveau Monde duo? If not, can you think of any cheap(er) eyeshadows that would be comparable to that color in the NARS duo? Thanks!
I wish my local Walmart/ drugstores carried these! I can’t find the full line of WnW anywhere, and you keep swatching all these gorgeous colors!
I think I had to go to 4 different ones just to track it down!
I saw this in the store and loved the look of the coppery red. Good thing I didn’t get it, because that was the only color I wanted. xP
When were these released? I’m seeing a similar palette set from WnW but they are not as wide and don’t have that imprint.
This spring!
Ah! Thank you! Something to make me look forward to Spring even more!
Just as well. I only liked the frostier shades anyway 😛
from all of them, I like the comfort zone the best but I can’t find it. I went through all drugstores around my area but failed terribly.
I just found Comfort Zone and it is gorgeous! These 8 palettes are only at Walmart and Walgreens. I went to three different Walgreens (no Walmart near me) before I found one that wasn’t sold out of Comfort Zone. Worth the search.
SO beautiful and so cheap !!! I wish I could find similar quality at this price in France. I’m so jealous of the US and Japan for that.
The only cheap brangs that are available in France are Maybelline, Bourgeois, l’Oréal, Nivéa. The pigmentation of their eyeshadows are extremely poor. I was really disappointed by Bourgeois which always has very nice packaging. Moreover, My eyes are quite sensitive and are always irritated. Even with a primer it goes in 4-5 hours. Most of all it’s still much more expensive than this palette. For a quad you’d have to pay around 13$. For a single eyeshadow (Bourgeois in this case) between 6 and 8$ depending the shade. *sigh*
I did not use e/s because of that, the others were too expensive so I saved to buy UD BOSIII. *happiness*
You guys are so lucky ! >.<
If you really like these, you can always order them 😉 http://www.nonpareilboutique.com they ship international. Just placed my order!!!
Pretty! I might pick these up if they ever show up at my local drugstore.Freaking Canada getting everything months later than the States. And hopefully they don’t only show up at Walmarts either, because I don’t have one close to me.
Christine, will you be swatching the other one too? It’s the neutralish one, with browns and olives and stuff, I think it’s called “Comfort Zone.”
No, sorry, I could not find it.
I can’t find these anywhere in nyc! How is it we have access to Le Metier de Beaute and Paul&Joe counters and I can’t find a drugstore palette 🙂 I am only loving the frosty blues and the coppery rose, but for 4.99 even that might be worth it!
I know, right? If you head past Times Square you can find the only one of certain make-up brand stores in the entire United States, but no WnW palettes lol.
Nice! This looks like a fun way to experiment and play around with purples since I don’t look the best in them and rarely buy them.
Do you know of a dupe for the copper-mauve shade? Thanks!
MAC Star Violet is kind of similar.
the pinky frosty shade is my favorite in this palette, i used it as an inner corner gorgeous. i also like the purple shade color the third one in the left side, nice to have if u do not have a purple in ur collection, I think all these 8 palette have two or one favorites, except for comfort zone has three fav,a peachy pinky tone one that is so pigmented,a taupy shade ,and a mac club dupe that i like better than club for some reason.
I always love your swatches! One question though, do you swatch on your skin dry or over a primer? I’ve never been able to find an answer for this. Thanks!! 🙂
Always over bare skin – I don’t see the benefit in swatching with primer, because then you don’t get to see the true color pay off & texture!
Oh and the rosey mauvy color second on the right side is preetty but so sheer i wonder if there is a mac color like this one!
Does the coppery rose mauve color look similar to Mac’s Star Violet?
Not really! Star Violet turns out more plum!
I was so disappointed by the copper rose, too! And it was the one I had the highest hopes for. Also, I noticed your frosty pink color looked a little busted up; mine fell apart completely on the first use! Seems to be an issue with that particular color only, though.
does anyone know where i can get these in the UK ive been searching everywhere and when i do find them the colours i want are unavailable or sold out =(
would you say Milani’s Girls Luv Pink is similar to the Frosty Pink from the WNW Petal Pusher?
I absolutely love the coppery rose color, but I keep having problems applying mine… when I do, the glitter particles get pushed around on my lid. I wind up having parts that are more matte rosey, and then areas where all the copper glitter accumulates! Has anyone else had this problem/figured out a way to stop it? I’ve tried various brushes and applicators, with primer and without, and can’t seem to get it to not be patchy.
I think theses are beautiful and will definetly purchase this, and more colors as well…wow who would have thought these were so good at such a cheep price. I use to pass them by due to the price.
i found this palette at my local cvs and grabbed it as soon as i saw it! for the longest time they only had the trios, and my sweet as candy trio has been well loved 😛
if anyone is having difficulty finding these at walmart/walgreens, definitely check out cvs! mine also has milani polishes fully stocked, and i have two of the holo polishes and looove them!
I just bought this today and will be returning it tomorrow. Only 2 of the colors were pigmented enough to really work with. Total bummer.
Tigress, I have this and they are super pigmented and even better with primer, I wonder if maybe it was a bad batch? Also if anyone is wondering the colors are more true with primer then without not that that needs to be said but just in case.
