Wet 'n' Wild Fergie Holiday 2013 Nail Lacquers Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Wet 'n' Wild Mazel Tov Madness Nail Lacquer
Wet ‘n’ Wild Mazel Tov Madness Nail Lacquer

Wet ‘n’ Wild Mazel Tov Madness Nail Lacquer ($3.49 for 0.42 fl. oz.) is a deepened–but still bright–navy blue with faint navy blue micro-shimmer. It was fully opaque after two coats, and the consistency was easy to work with, though on the thinner side. The dry down left a nice shine, too, but you may want a top coat to give it that plush finish. NARS 413 BLKR (LE, $19.00) doesn’t have shimmer. MAC Double Trouble (LE, $16.00) is a cream. China Glaze First Mate (LE, $7.50) is more muted. See comparison swatches.

In addition to Mazel Tov Madness, there are three glittery shades out for the holidays (the collection also has three other shades not featured in this post, as I don’t have them). Mountain High contains an assortment of glitter and flakes in pastel green, medium blue, orange, and pink suspended in a milky, off-white base. I applied one coat over the blue polish, and it did lighten the color, but the glitter dispersed evenly and there was a good amount applied in one coat. I applied two coats of it alone on the thumb nail. MAC Unconditionally Fabulous (LE, $16.00), China Glaze Snow Globe (LE, $7.50), China Glaze Luxe & Lush (LE, $7.50), and Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven (LE, $19.00) are all similar but are less flaky. See comparison swatches.

Titanium Crush is metallic silver shimmer and glitter with gold sequins. It seemed like a glitter top coat when I looked at in the bottle, but it’s quite dense in a single coat. You actually would need to use very little if you wanted to use it layered. Again, I applied two coats on the thumbnail so you could see the opacity, and then one coat over the blue. Anna Sui Minnie Mouse Stardust Silver (001) (LE, $16.00) is sheerer, no sequins. Zoya Seraphina (P, $8.00) has no sequins. China Glaze Tinsel Town (LE, $7.50) is similar but has a black base. See comparison swatches.

Black Metal Magic is a mix of medium-sized black and silver hexagon-shaped glitters suspended in a clear base. It had good density in a single coat, though the consistency was somewhat loose. I couldn’t think of a dupe for this one based on what I’ve reviewed in the past.

I have Mazel Tov Madness, did a video with it, and it is GORGEOUS. Definitely one of my favourite polishes of all time, actually.

I wish they’d change those brushes! They are so ridiculously big & I have really short nails makes these a pain to use despite how good the quality is!

Would anyone know how Zoya’s Neve compares to Mazel Tov Madness? I don’t have either and am regretting my choice to not get Neve during the Dream Big promo. If Mazel is a close dupe for Neve, I can easily pick that up and be happy!

Mazel Tov Madness looks really unique!
I’m not too crazy on the blue, though. It’s a color that I see in every brand’s collection. I would expect something more unique from a limited edition collection.
