My skin tone/coloring: light yellow/gold
Favorite look worn: I had a very ho-hum week. Not sure I can answer this… 🙁
Most used product of the week: not counting base products, it’s a tie between Fenty’s Chili Mango blush and ABH’s contour in Cream Soda (the latter as eyeshadow) — these have become my boring neutral base for testing all my lip colors.
Any new beauty discoveries: Paula’s Choice Azelaic Acid Booster. Really liking this.
Skin Tone/Coloring: Skin tone is light neutral, hair is salt-and-pepper, eye color is green with rust-colored flecks near the pupil.
Favorite Look Worn: (This mostly HE look was for an evening out at a trendy craft cocktail bar. I used a light hand to keep the eyeshadow and cheek colors subtle, then went for two pops of color with cobalt blue lashes and cherry red lips.) Products used: Diorshow Brow Styler and Clinique Brow Shaper on brows, Dior Backstage Cool Eyeshadow Palette (Matte Mauve in crease, Matte Plum to darken outer corners of lid and blended into crease, Matte Pink on lids), Chanel Stylo Yeux Eyeliner in Charme (lightly smudged under lower lashline from outside tapering off toward the center), Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in My Boyfriend’s Jeans in upper tightline, YSL Vinyl Couture Mascara in I’m The Trouble, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Ecru, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Pink Explosion, Diorskin Luminizer in Pink Glow, Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in #21.
Most Used Products: Diorshow Brow Styler, Clinique Brow Shaper, Cover Girl Total Tease Mascara, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer, Laura Mercier Baked Highlighter 01
New Beauty Discoveries: For gorgeous cobalt blue lashes, Sephora’s Contour Eye Pencil in My Boyfriend’s Jeans is a great tightline shade to wear with YSL Vinyl Couture Mascara in the shade I’m The Trouble.
I love the sound of your look!
Thank you, Rachel R! I love using that blue YSL mascara!!
I inadvertently left off a couple of steps in my eye look: I used the shade Silver Highlighter from the same Dior palette on my lids (on top of Matte Pink) and locked it in with a drop of MAC Mixing Medium, and I put a touch of Shimmer Pink on my brow bones.
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones, MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Favorite look you worn: What I wore to the Evanescence /Lindsay Stirling concert! Eyes: MAC Vapor browbone, PMG Rosé Risqué transition and all through the crease, ND VIOLA (Lila) and Poison Berry (Mini Lila) in crease and to smoke out lower lashline, ND Blue Dahlia inner and outer lid arched to meet in deep crease, ColourPop Prowlin’ on center mobile lid to create a halo eye, Sephora Contour Pencil in Sangria on lower lashline and upper inner lashline, Essence Midnight In Paris gel liner for outer upper wings, Smashbox Fishnet eye pencil upper tightline, ColourPop New Magic SSS inner tear duct, lots of mascara. Cheeks: UD Jawbone, Noho, KVD Sapphire from old Alchemist. Lips: Nyx Cola Slim Lip Pencil, MAC Mixed Media Retro Matte lipstick worn over MAC Prep & Prime lips underneath. This lipstick lasted through a 4 hour concert, a 24 Oz. Dos XX’s, and Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers 3 piece meal!
Most used product of the week: Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer and Dim Infusion Ambient Lighting Powder, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, MJ Dew You Dew Drops, Maybelline WP Lash Discovery and Full & Soft mascaras, Smashbox Fishnet Always On Gel Liner (it grabbed the HG status away from my MJ Blacquer Highliner).
Any new beauty discoveries: Only this; what took me so long to appreciate the amazing holding power of UD All Nighter? Or the ultimate beauty and simplicity of the Naked 1 Palette? ?
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you worn: I decided to use the Playlist by bareMinerals yesterday. I used the copper shade Louder all over the lid, with the teal shade, Max Volume, on the lower lid and Pumped, the chocolate brown shade in the crease. I paired the look with Milani’s Tuscan Toast lipstick.
Most used product of the week: All of my staples, plus the Maybelline’s Burgundy Bar for a quick look.
Any new beauty discoveries: Not so much this week. Just exploring my stash.
Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 15 – 20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite look worn : ABH Modern Renaissance. Mixed a matte taupe and grey purple from a Hard Candy matte palette. Could have just used Buon Fresco but I wanted to give that other palette some love lol
Put Cypress Umber and Antiqued Bronze in outer V/outer eyelid. Vermeer on inner half of eyelid.
MUFE Excessive Lash Mascara. Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in Brown. Trying to use both up.
MAC Mineralize Modest blush. It was LE from a few holidays ago. I wore Pixi Rose Lip Treatment #1 on lips. It’s been discontinued but still good:)
Most used product : MUFE Excessive Lash Mascara. Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in Brown. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. ABH Brow Wiz in Soft Brown. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal. Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter. Clinique Pink Honey Pop blush. Maybelline Super Stay Even Better Powder.
New beauty discoveries : Just went to Ulta and swatched the Morphe Dark Magic palette and it’s seriously lacking in quality. It was difficult to pick up color and a lot of the shades were patchy. It’s the only palette in that collection I was remotely interested in and I cannot jump on board. I went there to redeem a 20 % coupon. After going through the store, all of it, and only going away with a concealer for my daughter and a tiny Essence brush, I discovered I’m in want of little and content with what I already have?
My skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: so boring as it’s almost always the same: eyes- Lise Watier Chic Glam shadow stick as a base, Kalahari (L) all over mobile lid and (R) in crease; Sephora Cappuccino to line and Marc Jacobs Submarine skinny liner on upper waterline; MAC Sweet Sentiment blush, Givenchy Fuchsia in the Know lipstick. On my face, over moisturizer and sunscreen, just a light dusting of powder foundation (either IT or Lise Watier)
Most used product of the week: Lise Watier SunSmart, MAC Sweet Sentiment, Nars Kalahari
Any new beauty discoveries: the MJ Submarine pencil (I’ve always love the black one but with brown eyes, I know that blue is great for “popping” my brown eyes so I am glad to have found this pencil that lasts and lasts)
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look you worn: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and NYXUltimate Shadow Palette in Brights: Red from the NYX over TF Salted Caramel (crease and swept around onto lower lid), TF Cherry Cordial (outer corner of crease; lower lash line), TF Champagne Truffle (brow bone; foiled on inner corner), Wet n Wild Midnight Mermaid metallic liquid eyeshadow in Moonlight Majesty over NYX red (lids), UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (top and bottom waterlines), ABH e/s single in Love Letter (brows), and Physician’s Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara. LIPS — MAC x Jeremy Scott lipstick in Night Club School. CHEEKS — Tarte Authentic from the Blush Bazaar Palette. FACE — NYX Angel Veil, BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory, e.l.f. Perfect Finish HD Powder, Sephora Tranquil (contour), Tarte Worthy (HL) form the Blush Bazaar Palette, and e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.
Most used product of the week: The majority of stuff I took on my trip — My skincare. NYX Angel Veil, BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory, e.l.f. Perfect Finish HD Powder (compact), UD Primer Potion in Enigma, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette in Brights, ABH e/s single in Love Letter (brows), Physician’s Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara, Sephora Tranquil (contour), Tarte Blush Bazaar Palette, MAC x Jeremy Scott Future Emotions Lip x 9 Palette, and e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.
Any new beauty discoveries: The MAC x Jeremy Scott lip palette was pretty perfect for travel for the week. It has all the basic colors I needed, and it’s sturdy enough. It’s small and light enough to carry with me in my handbag. I was actually able to fit it in my wallet for when I was just going out to a casual dinner and didn’t want to lug my handbag around.
My skin tone/coloring: Tan Neutral, Nars Radiant in Valencia
Favorite look you worn: Light bronze look using my rediscovered bobbi brown sand eye palette, becca split pan of amaretto and prosecco pop and mac redd lipliner and damn glamorous lipstick
Most used product of the week: Maybelline dream brightening creamy concealer in medium/deep
Any new beauty discoveries: no, but I can’t wait till the summer Friday Overtime mask to come out!
