Siren

Viseart Siren Theory Palette ($45.00 for 0.42 oz.) contains three matte eyeshadows and three shimmer eyeshadows with all six being strongly warm-toned. Siren #1

Siren #1 is a light coral with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, while the consistency was soft, smooth, and easy to blend out on my skin. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Formula Overview

-

The eyeshadow formula is supposed to be "pigment[ed]" with "smooth and even application" that is "long-lasting." The matte shades are typically semi-opaque to opaque but buildable with soft, velvety textures that can sometimes be a little powdery or slightly firm, depending on the shade. I find that the mattes are often best suited to someone who likes control over pigmentation and may prefer to build up color; they regularly perform better in practice than just swatched on the arm as well.

The shimmer shades range from satin to metallic, and the more metallic shades tend to feel creamier to the touch, while the satin ones have a fine pearl to them that looks almost melted on the lid once blended out. Both the mattes and shimmers are blendable and easy to work with. Most of Viseart's eyeshadows wear between seven and nine hours on me.

Siren #2

Siren #2 is a medium-dark copper with warm, orange undertones and a frosted sheen. It had good color coverage in a single layer, though the texture was on the drier, more loosely-packed side, so it seemed to sheer out a bit and had a touch of fallout during application. This shade worked better over primer or with a dampened brush. It applied well and blended out nicely. The color stayed on for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Siren #3

Siren #3 is a medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent color payoff with a soft, silky texture that wasn’t too powdery nor too firmly pressed in the pan. The eyeshadow lasted well for almost nine hours on me.

Burnt Gold (Siren #4)

Siren #4 is a rich, golden copper with warm undertones and a metallic finish. The texture was creamier and thicker compared to the other shades in the palette, which helped it adhere particularly well to bare skin but applied best with a flat, firmer brush or fingertips than a fluffier brush. It had opaque pigmentation that wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Terracotta (Siren #5)

Siren #5 is a muted, medium-dark orange-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. The color payoff was opaque, while the texture was soft and silky. It applied evenly and blended out with ease on my skin. It started to fade noticeably on me after eight and a half hours of wear.

Burnished Copper (Siren #6)

Siren #6 is a medium-dark copper with warm, orange undertones and a metallic finish. The eyeshadow had a creamier, more silicone-heavy feel to the touch, so it was more slippery than I expected. It applied better with a flat, firmer brush or fingertip but I had to be careful to press and pat it on to avoid getting uneven application. It had opaque pigmentation that stayed on well for eight and a half hours on me.

This palette looks so beautiful but I’m sure I have countless dupes on my collection. It’s still tempting though because it is just so pretty!! No matter how many warm nude palettes I have I still always want more.

So glad this reviewed well. I’ll order tomorrow. Sure I have enough warm neutrals but this is such good quality, and I like Theory palette size and style a lot (I have and use Minx and Nuance often). It’s a no-brainer for me. Thanks for the quick review.

It’s good to see strong ratings continue for Viseart Theory palettes. The shade range would not be flattering on me, unfortunately.
