I did a really fun, sunset-themed look using orange, pink, and purple. I paired the eyes with a warm coral blush and a peachy-coral lip!
Thanks to Karen for today’s question! Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.
I had neutral eyes, Nars Gaiety on the cheeks, and MAC’s Candy Yum Yum on the lips!
EYES – Wet n Wild Brulee, LORAC Cream & Light Pink, a shimmery pink from a 1028 Visual Therapy shadow quad (Taiwanese brand).
Cheeks – Too Faced Chocolate Soleil, MUFE Aqua Cream #6 or 9, can’t remember, topped with Beauty Maker (also Taiwanese) peach blush, MAc Fairly Precious Extra dimension Skinfinish
Lips – Candy Yum Yum from MAC!
I’ve been practicing my “Fresh spring makeup~” for a future tutorial, experimenting with diff products for the look I want, so that’s gonna be a thing for the next few days.
My bf asked me for a gold look, so I did a black-rimmed eye with gold eyeshadow and liner (lots of mascara!), bronzer and pink/gold blush, and a true red lip 🙂
Naked 3 Palette, Flutter Lashes (Stella), Nars Desire blush, Mac Love Goddess
Gunmetal glitter eye make up using Buxom and UD liners & shadows, UD “quickie” blush, UD “scandal” and “big bang” lip color.
Naked 3 on eyes (used Strange, Burnout, Limit, and Liar) NARS luxembourg on lips, benefit hervana and mac pink buttercream on the cheeks and hourglass ethereal light all over!
Daytime picnic, so Sleek BB cream, Time Balm concealer and a light dusting of powder. I used a Milani eyeshadow pencil buffed out with a matte cream powder shadow, NYX dark brown eyeliner, Jordana mascara and NYX eyebrow cake powder.
Cheeks were NYX Bronzer & Blusher Combo in Sunrise in Bali and lips were Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stain in Tropical Frenzy.
Add sunscreen and bug spray, a (shared) bottle of champagne and a snooze under my stupid cowboy hat on the riverbank (woken up by ducks nibbling my toes!) and it still looked good after 6 hours!
Eyes: Sable (LORAC Pro Palette) on the inner and outer corner then connected it into the crease and blended out with Taupe from the same palette. I popped Trick (N3) on the center of the lid with the foil method then darkened the outer v with Espresso from the Pro Palette, which I dragged into my outer crease. Used the Cream shade from the LORAC palette to highlight my browbone and tearduct area. On my lower lashline, I used just the Taupe shade from before then put a nude liner on my waterline.
Cheeks: NARS Gilda
Lips: It was a sheer, coral-pink gloss.
I must confess…I couldn’t wear anything on VD, other than lip balm…*hides in corner*
Nars Terre de Feu and Illamasqua Naked Rose! Favorite and common combo. I’m a simple creature.
I used the new BareMinerals True Romantic collection. My husband loved it!
Chanel Charme on the lips (my wedding lipstick), neutral cool bronze look on the eyes, and curled lashes. It’s summer here, so out for dinner is in daylight!
I’d love to see photos of your look if you have any – it sounds gorgeous!
I’m trying get out of my same products all the time rut so…
On my eyes I had Benefit bikini line inner corner, MAC coppering center of lid, theBalm racy kacy + MAC Centre Stage in crease, Sephora Cinderella A wish to highlight. On cheeks I had MAC mighty aphrodite blush. On lips I had Bite Beauty VIB Rouge (turned out to be a gorgeous shade of red lipstick that lasted 8 hours on me, through a snack and a meal!).
So nice seeing Centre Stage mentioned! It’s one of my fave shadows but keeps getting pushed aside by newer purchases and then I come back to it again and again. It’s a shame that MAC didn’t make this and several other Mega Metal shadows permanent as they are so terrific.
I totally agree. I loved the mega metal shadows and still use them quite often. I regret not purchasing all of the shades.
Cheeks: Tom Ford Cheek Color in Love Lust
Eyes: Chanel Ombres Matelassees in Charming and Guerlain Eye Pencil in Jackie Brown
Face: Guerlain Blanc de Perle Mattifying Hydrating Emulsion, Meteorites Perles Light Diffusing Primer Les Ors, Tenue de Perfection Foundation, Terra Ora Sculpting Powder and Contrast HIghlighter and NARS Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Setting Powder (loose)
Lips: Guerlain Rouge G in Gisela
The Perricone MD Blue Plasma. I applied it to my face then went straight to bed.
Soft brown-gold eyes, and a dusty pink lip (Givenchy Le Rouge). I didn’t apply blush, but went with a dab of Benefit Watt’s Up.
Actually quite proud of the look I did….! I’m trying to wear more “full” looks because I find I’m not using much of my stash. Plus it’s fun!!
For eyes, I used the Balm’s Balm Jovi palette, with Third Eye Blinded on the inner half of the lid, Alice Copper on the outer half, Presto in the crease, and Adagio on the browbone. I lined my lower lash line with Covergirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze (super close to a HG product), and smoked it out with a smudge brush. No liner on my upper lashes, I took a leaf from your book Christine! 😉 Mascara was Benefit BADgal (also a potential HG). I’ve recently had my brows done so I filled them in nice and strong using my usual brow shader.
Cheeks – MAC At Dusk, PERFECT for this look because it adds definition/structure without too much colour. No highlighter (!). Lips were MAC Viva Glam VI lipglass.
The boy said he liked the look, so that was a bonus 😀
I had a severe allergic reaction and broke out in hives/could barely breathe, V-day was rescheduled 🙂
In the day, I wore Sephora Taupe jumbo pencil as a base with Clarins Forest (bottom right shade) patted over that and the darkest shade lightly in the outer corners. Thanks to the pink blush discussion here the other day, I’ve been wearing The Balm Downboy blush and I wore MAC Red Dwarf on my lips. But our “evening out” was a special Valentine’s Day Couples Yoga and Thai Massage class so all of that came off. But it WAS Valentine’s Day so I wore Revlon Red Velvet Lip Butter on my lips though even with having removed my eye makeup, I still had a grey smear under my eyes!
Eyes – Matte and shimmery pink on the lid, purples in the crease and very deep plum in the outer v. Lined the lower lashes with glittery purple. It looked more subtle than it sounds; the purples were light applications.
Cheeks – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta
Lips – Bright Fuscia Pink, No. 36 by MUFE Rouge Artist Intense. Went awesomely with the blush!
Eyes: MAC Patina w/Soba in the crease and Urban Decay Binge as eyeliner.
Cheeks: Chanel Joues Contraste in Malice.
Lips: MAC Lipglass in Drawn to Chic( I think it’s listed as Drawn in Chic on the Dupe List)
All in all, not a very Valentine’s Day look, but I was wearing a sweater that’s Caribbean blue.
I’m showing my look on the blog today 🙂 Brown smokey eyes + plum lips!
Sunset eyes sounds amazing – I think that’s what I’m going for today! I wore a natural eye (MAC A Natural Flirt & Sable), very natural looking skin, & Revlon Cherries in the Snow on my lips.
I had a neutral eye and used Urban Decay dope all over my eyelids. I had a thin coating of black winged out eyeliner also on my eyes. On my face I wore NARS Sheer Glow foundation paired with NARS lovejoy blush. On my lips I wore Revlon Fire lipgloss.
i did macs warm soul on the cheeks naked 3 buzz on the lid nooner in the crease and the two last colors ro deepen the outer crease and v. then jordana balm stain in honey on the lips
Moisturizer! LOL – we stayed in and had chocolate fudge cake and ice cream 🙂
Eyes: UD Naked2 Palette – Bootycall on the lid/highlight, Tease in the crease, Busted in the outer corner/crease. Blended Tease and Busted on the lower lashline. Shara Makeup Studio black gel liner (Noir) on the upper lashline, UD Demolition on the waterline
Face: Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation, Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer, NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder, Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soliel Bronzer, BH Cosmetics Rose Blush
Lips: Shara Makeup Studio Lipgloss in Love
Lots of mascara and MAC Relentlessly Red lipstick
Neutral eyes using rms beauty cream shadow in Magnetic, matte face using matte peach blush but then a bit of Revlon’s Bare Light for a glow, and, naturally, a lip with Ruby Woo, my beauty bff.
I did a simple eye look with UD Foxy (on the lids), Naked 2 (on the crease), Venus as the brow highlighter, a kitty liner with UD Perversion liner, smudged out with Crave. A couple of coats of L’Oreal Carbon Black mascara. Stila Love At First Sight blush on the cheeks, On the lips I used the Milani Anti-Feathering Liner and Wet and Wild Dollhouse Pink lipstick. I had not used it before and I really liked it! So did everyone else apparently! I got tons of compliments!
I wore my normal face makeup with MAC Lightscape all over. I wore a gold shimmery eye consisting of Naked 3 palette and MAC Deliciously Rich sweeping over my tear duct region with winged MAC Blacktrack fluidline as eyeliner and Illamasqua mascara. I wore Nars Copacabana and Deep Throat on my cheeks and MAC Russian Red on my lips. I also wore a tiny bit of Copacabana on my cupid’s bow. The rose hues do not sound like they would match my choice of lip, but it balanced well. On my nails I wore Illamasqua Monogamous with OPI Minnie Style layered over it.
I did a heavy black and red smokey eye, with a wine-red lip.
Eyes: Sigma Paris palette (Elysses (burgundy brown) in crease, Versailes (white with gold shimmers) on inner half of lid, Eiffel (black with multicolored shimmers) on outer 2/3rds of lid, blended into Versailes. Wet n Wild Brulee for highlight, and then I ran some of MAC Cranberry over the crease color because the red got a little lost. Finished off with smudgy gel liner, and ran some of Elysses over the lower lashline.
Cheeks: Mix of Peche and Rouge blushes from the same palette.
Lips: Flower Beauty lipstick in Black Rose, blotted to pull more of the red tones out.
I wore a completely naked face, because of suffering from a cold.
I used the UD Naked 3 palette for my eyes, with Buzz as the main colour on the lid. Benefit Coralista for the cheeks, and Revlon Rosegold on the lips. It was a very understated look, but I still felt fresh and happy.
I would love to see photos of your look, Christine!
I decided to go against the grain with colour and wore Illamasqua “Shoot” lip gloss 😀 Since it’s sort of eye-catching on its own, everything else was pretty neutral. I used the blush from Armani’s Neo-Black palette and neutral-warm shadows- Rouge Bunny Rouge Gracious Arasari and Mac One to Watch on my eyes, with Urban Decay “Demolition” pencil smudged lightly along my lash lines. Finished it off with a dusting of Hourglass Dim Light for a little added warmth and colour.
UD Delinquent on lids blended into rockstar eyeshadow with a little blackout in the crease, Nars desire blush ans candy yum yum on the lips
I tried to do a “pin up” eye, with neutral colors, and winged liner. I use the MAC fluidline gel in the brown color, every other dark brown or black eye liner turns a bluish/black my my fair skin! The left eye came out great, I have to practice getting the liner thicker as it goes towards the outer lid. I used the Bobbi Brown fine eye liner brush. Then I did neutral cheeks with a slight contour with Ambient lighting Dim light, then a taupe contour blush with MAC Warm Soul mineralize lblush over it! Oh, I also used MAC Prep & Prime highlighter in the Rose color on the upper cheekbone, cupid’s bow and under browbone. I put it on before powder so it gave an imperceptable glow and made the area look a little lighter. Then I tried to do a red lip, but with fair skin and coppery auburn hair, its hard to fimd a “red” I like. There is so much pink pigment in my lips that any real red will turn blue/red and look horrible on me. Usually reddish browns turn red on me. I tried Estee Lauder’s new metallic lipstick in Burnished Bronze. I loved the old Burnished Bronze, this one is much darker and turns a bit purple on me (probably from all the pink in my natural lips). I lightened it with the Estee Lauder luminizer lipstick in the center of the lip and lined it with MAC Spice. Oh, used the new Caramel brow stick from Anastesia and it matched my eyebrows and hair perfectly. Finished it up with Ambient light powder in Ehereal Glow, the only powder that doesn’t turn yellow on me, although by the end of the night I did look a little yellow. I used Lancome’s Renergie foundation in Porcelain 20C, one of my new favorite colors. Not a perfect match, but I haven’t found that yet. Also, Bobbi Brown corrector in light bisque and concealer in warm ivory. My daughter said I looked great, that’s a rave!! Husband doesn’t notice makeup except to comment on how long it takes!! He met us straight from the office, so that was not an issue last night! I spritzed Marc Jacobs Dots on my wrists as I walked out the door. One of two of my favorite new fragrances, that and Coach Poppy Blossom. Any tips on the pin up eye look greatly appreciated! Hope everyone had a great night, and had enough time to perfect their make up look!
