Urban Decay Shag Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Shag Deluxe Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “tan shimmer.” It’s a softened, coppery bronze with a frosted, metallic sheen. The texture is smooth, almost buttery, and the color payoff is amazing–rich, true-to-pan color in a single pass. It’s a warmer color, which means it may turn a little orange on cooler skin tones. It’s darker and more copper than Urban Decay Blaze. Milani’s Fusion is similar but not quite as intense.

I do find the packaging of Urban Decay’s Deluxe Eyeshadows to be a little bulky, and I have four or five where the clear plastic lid falls off easily (but the actual part of the lid that protects the eyeshadow and is hinged to the bottom has always been intact).  On the other hand, you get nearly double the amount of eyeshadow most brands give–even the standard Urban Decay Eyeshadows are only 0.05 oz. as compared to the Deluxe Eyeshadows at 0.09 oz.

This was my first Non-drugstore eyeshadow I ever purchased 🙂 about two years ago! I still rarely use it haha >.< I keep forgetting I have it.

I love shag eyshadow! I wear it alone or with a smoky eye! It makes my brown eyes lighter! My husband loves how natural it looks!!

I haven’t had this for about two years… but that’s because back then I actually hit pan and used it up! That never happens to me. I’m greedy and want to try a larger variety of colors so I haven’t re-purchased. But maybe it’s time to give this old love another try? It really is the perfect bronze.

I personally adore the packaging of the UD Deluxe Eyeshadows. I have dropped and sat on them by accident and have had no issues. That said, the only color I invested in was Graffiti. Ironically, I am glad I bought that because my grandmother has been utilizing the color as well!

I love this color! I wear Shag quite often by itself! I have had the deluxe palette for YEARS, and I only recently gave Shag a go! I fell in love! Really compliments my skin tone!

This is my go-to brown. I love it, and the shadow stays put and wears very well on me. I feel like, at least on me, it is a little less “bright” than Amber Lights. This one is a nice, safe, every day brown, and Amber Lights is my “notice me” brown.

This color turns very orange (as mentioned in the review) on my pale, cool toned skin, even with primer. Like, reminiscent of a frosty pumpkin.
