Wake-up Tired Eyes with a Scratch

Urban Decay Scratch Deluxe Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a shimmering pink champagne with a frosted metallic shine. It’s smooth, pigmented, and easy to blend. I would say it’s a touch too pigmented and metallic to work as a brow highlighter, but I love it as a lid shade. It’s a hue that brightens well without being overwhelming. I recommend just patting it on the lower lid and buffing upwards so it fades into the crease for a quick, one-minute kind of look. It pairs well with Urban Decay’s bronzes and peaches, too.

This is included in UD’s Deluxe Eyeshadow Palette and is my most used shade next to Underground. I love how it brightens up my eyes instantly. And I agree, it applies very smoothly.

I have hazel eyes as well, Jen. I love to put this on the lid then something like MAC’s cork/wedge in the crease (buck and naked from the UD naked palette work too). it’s a quick, neutral look that i love.

I LOVE this color. Just wore it yesterday as a matter of fact. Looks great with my light brown eyes and blonde hair. I usually pair it with either UD Last Call or UD Smog. Very nice!!

Love scratch! I just rub some on up to my brow bone with my finger when in a big hurry, I think it has a similiar effect as Sin when it comes to brightening up eyes.

I actually just bought Scratch last weekend and it is everything you said it is. Pigmented, smoooove, and very easy to blend.
However, the peach/coral tones come out more on my neutral-warm skin, which actually doesn’t do anything to help me look more awake, LOL. I’m going to try blending it with MAC Swish to get a more neutral-cool pink.

Urban Decay is the best with their Deluxe shadows. Every color is a “one swipe” deal. You will never use them up. I suggest the Deluxe Shadow palette to everyone. It already has most of the colors in it and they have excellent application and pigmentation.

I’ve been thinking about getting this shade for a while. I like the UD deluxe shadows and this color looks very pretty. The only thing holding me back is the fact that I own Stila’s Kitten and I’m afraid they are too similar. Anyone have input on this? Thanks! 🙂

That’s funny, I actually wore Scratch today. And I wore it because I was running late and needed a quick, single-colour eye. It really is a good go-to shadow for quick and simple looks. I have it in the Deluxe palette.

This is a very pretty shade! Love love such shade. I would use it on the lids too. To highlight under the brow, I guess gently dabbing the shadow with a brush and dab it onto the under-brow area would suffice to highlight it. Just a suggestion.

I bought this recently after reading this post! People on makeupalley seemed to agree. Every place I looked was sold out of this! Sephora, ulta, urban decay. I went to my local makeup store that carries UD and they had it! I’ve been looking for a good shade to go along my lower lash line (I don’t like dark shades under my eye). It’s a little light just to go on its on, though, for my eyelids. But I can easily just use this along with a darker shadow.

Thanks for reviewing this! I’ve been meaning to get an UD eyeshadow anyway, haha.

christine, are you planning to review the new UD 15th anniversary 24/7 pencil set? i would love to hear your opinion on them and see some swatches. 🙂

I am confused. Is it a dupe for Sin or not? Should I buy it if I already have Sin?
Also, is Silk Teddy from Too Faced similar to any of these?
Thanks in advance!
