Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette Coming Soon
Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette
Thanks to reader Rafaela! Urban Decay already has Naked2 Basics on their website! It’s listed as coming soon, and you can sign up to get notified for when it is in stock.
When UD junkies cried out for a palette of matte neutrals, Naked Basics delivered—and left them begging for MORE shades. (And we couldn’t deny them!)
Cooler in tone than the original, Naked2 Basics complements Naked2 perfectly. We loaded this indispensable palette with six TAUPE-hued matte neutrals, including five never-before-seen shades. These shadows are neutral enough for anyone, from cool skin tones to olive complexions to darker skin.
So versatile you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it, Naked2 Basics is the kind of palette you’ll reach for again and again.
Every shade in Naked2 Basics features our Pigment Infusion Systemâ„¢, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.
While many brands’ matte shadows tend to be chalky or powdery, EVERY shade in Naked2 Basics has a rich, buttery feel for the perfect application. It even includes one shade with a slight satin finish, Skimp, that’s ideal for highlighting and adding dimension.
Like the original, Naked2 Basics comes in a sleek, soft-touch case that has a suede-like feel and a slight sheen. It’s small and compact so it travels well, yet we still packed it with six FULL-size shadows.
What You Get: Skimp (pale nude satin), Stark (nude-pink matte), Frisk (warm gray matte), Cover (muted red-brown matte), Primal (muted brown matte) and Undone (deep, smoky brown matte).
Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette ($29.00)
- Skimp Pale nude satin

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette
If I wasn’t officially sick of NAKED before, I’m officially sick of it now. NAKED2 is my favourite out of the three, so I might LOOK at it, but… I’m so tired of NAKED.
same. and i only own naked 3…
Naked 2 is my fave also and I passed entirely on 3 and the first Naked Basics though I like the looks of this Basics2 a bit more – there seems to be a bit more variety in the colours. I will probably pick this up and it may become my new travel palette.
Seriously, UD is beating that (naked) horse to death.
lol!! I’m so tired of Naked. Do people like browns this much?!
Me too. I like my Naked palettes but I’m pretty over it now. We don’t need anymore!
Hmm…I agree that you have a point–I used to look to UD for setting the bar on originality and quality and while they’re delivering the latter–it’s not looking like we’re seeing the former. However, it sounds like they ARE listening to their fans which is always a good thing.
My favorite is the Naked 2 as well! The general consensus among a lot of people is that the Naked 2 is their least favorite of the three, but since I’m cool toned, it’s my favorite. The original just makes my skin look dirty because it’s too warm toned. I use the Naked 3 pretty often, but I don’t really have any desire to pick up any of the Naked Basics palettes.
I really don’t think it’s a fad though anymore. If it was a fad then they would’ve just ended it at Naked or even Naked 2, I feel. It’s one of their lines now.
I will buy it. Love all of my Naked palettes!!!!

Here you can see the colours!
Thank you, Rafaela!!
Oh you are very welcomed!
So happy to see my name at the top of the post! xx
Weird, I thought this would be called Naked Basics 2, seems weird to say Naked 2 Basics. At least with my logic 😛
I agree, but I think it’s because they’re trying to emphasize that this is meant to complement the Naked2 palette- like the original Naked Basics goes along with the original Naked Palette. They’re trying to get you to buy all of the Naked palettes, the Basics palettes, the coordinating eye pencils…when will it end?!
This is already up on the Urban Decay site!!! At first glance it looked just like the first, but after looking at them side-by-side in pictures, there are major differences 🙂
Exciting. I actually Googled it and found the palette on UD website, it just says it’s out of stock at the moment. Here is the description: When UD junkies cried out for a palette of matte neutrals, Naked Basics delivered—and left them begging for MORE shades.
Thanks, Agata! Reader Rafaela found it and commented just before you, but I appreciate the info!
No problem!
Oh these cooler tones look like my colors! Dont know if Ill pick this up but its a nice option. Cant wait to see how it performs!
I don’t own any of the Naked products, but I think I may get this one. I’d have to see swatches first.
I completely destroyed by first Naked Basics when I depotted it, so I will be picking this up!
I have to pass on this one, it looks too similar to the first.
I didn’t get any of the other Naked Palettes (shame on me) so I find this pretty interesting!
This looks almost identical to the first naked basics! Ehhhh not interested in it.
Ugh I’m so torn. I have Basics and use half the colors (Naked2, Faint, Venus) at least weekly, but have found the other half of the palette less worth having. I really hope they don’t suck me in with a nice rosy brown and matte taupe or something but sneak in more chalky, unflattering off-whites and yet another black shadow. Seriously, I have like five black and functionally black dark brown eyeshadows from UD palettes alone. :/
Oops, pics up. Aaand I’ll be skipping it for the too light off-white matte and yet another functionally black dark brown. The taupe-brown colors are nice, but not enough to justify the rest of the palette.
I think maybe Urban Decay missed the mark here. Based on the trends I see on YouTube and Instagram, MUAs are all over much warmer shades like Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear, Peach Smoothie, Chickadee. I would love to see a very warm matte palette like that with peach beiges, red browns, a muted orange… It doesn’t scream “basics”, but done right it can still look Naked and might appeal to darker skin tones too.
I don’t like warm tones at all, it’s all dependant on skin tone in regards to what you’ll personally prefer. I don’t think warm or cool toned shadows are going anywhere and I think they should be provided equally.
Agree! Warm nudes make me look sickly. This one is so spot on for my complexion. I’m light yellow/green..a very light olive and my jaw dropped when I saw this. It’s so perfect.
Same here….really orange toned warm shades are just not for me at all. It’s one reason I like Naked 2 best and it’s also why I am really attracted to this new Naked Basics – the cool tones really appeal to me. There are loads of warm toned palettes around (Stila’s In the Know certainly has some warm matte options and my recently purchased KvD Monarch palette is another one that has more warm options than cool).
Agreed. I’m very fair and cool-toned, and I found the Naked 1, 3, and Basics 1 to be way too warm. Made my skin look too sallow since my eyes and hair also have an ashier, cooler tone to them. Naked 2 might have worked better, but I wound up just grabbing the singles of the shades I liked and saved myself the trouble of having a palette where half the shades went unused.
(This being said, I agree with Andi that the Basics line is really lacking where shades that work best on darker skinned women are concerned.)
A palette like that would be heavenly, good idea girl!
The entire Naked line runs warm, though. It’s one of the major complaints of the cooler toned fans of the line, and frankly, the market is saturated with warm tone neutrals. A cool toned neutral palette would be a welcome addition to the line.
All their previous Naked palettes are too warm already.
It’s nice that they’re trying to do something for cool skintones. Although the first two shades in this palette seem wrong for this purpose.
I’m very cool toned and can use Naked Basics 1 just fine, I’m not entirely sure what niche this fills!
I don’t think cooler toned shadows are really a “niche.” Some people just prefer the shades, and the Naked line is predominantly warm, so this strikes me as a step toward rounding the line out. I’m still hoping they release a cool toned palette in the twelve pan se, as I found Naked 1 way too warm and wound up giving it away.
I don’t NEED another Naked palette, but, but, but ….. I think I really do want this one. I don’t care if others think UD is beating the Naked horse to death, I like it and will probably get it. So there! :p
My thoughts *exactly*!
Ugg another …. I am kind of burnt out on the whole naked palettes…. from all brands. The originality is lost.
I personally don’t think UD is overdoing Naked. Brands have different lines and Naked is theirs, and they seem to be putting out one great product after another so why not? I like the palette even though it’s too cool for me, and i really dislike Skimp, but it’s a nice idea. Good for contouring and transition shades with cooler eye shadows.
That said, I do miss the regular, colourful palettes they used to put out.
I agree. I think these sell because a lot of women want a simple and wearable assortment of eyeshadows that are flattering, easy to use and appropriate for work, school, family occasions etc. And not all women want to have a peacock-array of shadows on their eyes, even for more formal situations. I wasn’t wild about the first Naked Basics palette but this one has colours that appeal to me more. And even though I’ve got neutral shadows up the wazoo, I’m really attracted to this palette.
I feel like this looks more pinky than taupe-y? My first thought (before reading the description) was that it would look better with Naked 3.
Oooh, interesting, can’t wait to see swatches!
I have all three Naked palettes, but not the Basics..so I think I’m covered. However, I think la lot of people like and use neutral and neutral matte shades, so if people keep buying them, why wouldn’t they keep making them.
Interesting, so it’s cooler shades, will they make pink toned one as well? I’m kinda bored by it as well,, but I still want to pick up Naked 3 as a good basic everyday shadows (I have none). As for UD – the company is so bold and daring yet kinda plays safe and goes on what’s selling well. It is good, we want Naked, but more colors as well)))) This palette looks better than the first, but I prefer satin texture.
All right UD, now we’re talking. I still think they need a grey shadow in these palettes, but I’m willing to give this one a look if it’s cool as it appears in the image.
YES! YES! Finally some cool matte colors for my eye crease! I can actually see this getting some use in my collection, as my Naked 1 palette is currently collecting dust…
Eureka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only do these look amazeballs as eyeshadows, but their neutral taupe colouring would work really well for my eyebrows and I imagine even could work as contouring. I know it seems that neutrals have been done to death, but not like this palette. I will be all over this one. Yay!
I like the look of this, but I already own NAKED Basics and the two palettes just look way too similar to justify buying NAKED Basics 2 – plus, as they’re so similar, there’s no real need to either (in my opinion!). Also, I thought the original leant more toward cool tones than warm and was expecting 2 to be a warmer toned palette x
I love my Naked Basics palette to death. I may cave in for this one.
I know a lot of people are sick of the Naked series by UD….. but my one complaint with the Naked 2 was there was only 1 matte crease shade (tease). I know tons of people hit pan on Tease so fast because it was the only transition color so I’m happy the Naked 2 Basics came out.
It will be very useful to all the naked 2 lovers. I think it would work great with the original Basics too, for a truly matte palette.
So done with Naked palettes. I hardly touch my Naked 2. D:
I, for one, am looking forward to adding this palette to my massive stash of neutral/nude eyeshadows. I happen to like them. For those who find this “boring”, or “tired”, fine-there are plenty of other products/brands on the market to choose from. If need UD is putting more effort in this line of products, I’m sure it’s for good reason-it SELLS!!! The number one priority for *any* company is profit, as it should be; profit means revenue, which adds to jobs, and therefore stimulates the economy. When Electric was released, I was able to grab it immediately, yet with any of the Naked palettes, I had to wait out 2-3 cycles. To me, that says there is a much larger consumer desire for those.
As I said above, there are many other brands to choose from for “color”, and I’m quite certain those who want color have more than enough in their stash to last a while. So, instead of bashing UD, just stop buying UD, and leave these palettes on the shelves for those who want them? If sales go down, perhapsUD will rreconsider their product line…
What you said! Additionally, UD is known for some pretty bright, brilliant, “outrageous” coloured shadows and palettes. It’s not like the only shadows they sell are neutrals. Smoked, Ammo, all the past Books of Shadows, the Vice palettes – all featured plenty of colour. To me, it seems that UD is offering something for everybody! And I think this is actually one palette I might make a dint in….might be something I reach for enough to hit pan or at least show some wear!
I LOVE my Naked basics palette, but rarely ever use my Naked 1, so considering that, this looks like something I really might want to try 🙂
I just returned Naked Basics 1 two days ago. I tried it over the course of 3 months with 4 different eye primers and even tried a face primer on my eyelids once. I was lucky to get a sheer wash of the darker colors, and I’m fairly pale. The rest, nada. This palette doesn’t look much different.
I will be very interested to see swatches of this (as a cool toned person especially)! Although I have major neutral palette fatigue, and would be more excited by a colourful offering, I appreciate that UD is (apparently) trying to round out their Naked line’s cooler side.
I was kind of hoping to see a deeper vision of the Naked Basics for those that are note pale to light medium skin tones but a more taupe one. Serious the original is more cool tone/neutral as it. >_<
Well here you go the shades are darker then look in the promo shot.

Totally agree with the people sick of all the Naked palettes, BUT if they are releasing Naked Basic palettes to correspond to all of the Naked palettes I will definitely be on the waiting list for Naked 3 Basics! Naked 2 is far too cool for me, so I’m not tempted by this one.
I think I’d like this more than the original Naked Basics (which I can’t bring myself to purchase… 3 highlighter shades, come on).
If it’s out on Sephora this week, I may grab it, as I have a couple other things to pick up. This would be nice for travel.
Any info on a release date?
Annnnd I’m sure this will be chalky and not show up on me like tha last naked basics palette…I guess we can also expect a naked basics 3 palette with matte rose shades to complement the naked 3 rose toned palette. -_-
It’s getting old UD. Blagh.
I found the first Naked Basics to be too cool for my liking and unfortunately this looks like much of the same. I was hoping for something more warm toned this time :/
Same here. I am surprised that everyone is saying the first 1 is warmer, because naked 2 and faint were cool toned. And i would think if it was meant to go with the N1 they would have made them warmer. I would love to see more shades like mac soft brown and brown script, they do great mattes but there’s not enough in the line.
Considering the fact that I don’t wear colorful eyeshadows, I love neutral palettes. If Urban Decay is successful selling Naked palettes, it would be a good idea for them to continue making neutral palettes. I love my Naked basics, and I will probably buy this one too. Urban Decay makes beautiful palettes, with great quality, at an affordable price.
I do think they should keep bringing out their limited edition colorful palettes to please their long-time fans.
Seems a bit bore neutral then the first one. Still a dead horse.
I have Naked and Naked 3. I love the looks of Naked 2 Basics. I like the matte colors and this is the perfect size for travel. There is so much you can do with these colors and a little ingenuity!
I’m definitely passing. I’ve been so disappointed with Naked3 and Naked Basics, no need to add onto that.
The powderiness and fallout during application (even after tapping off) is the biggest no-no for me, and UD has just been getting worse, unfortunately.
It’s funny you mention Naked 3 because I swear the quality is worse than the first 2 Naked palettes. Very dusty and several shades really need to be built up. Having said that, I actually prefer the darker side of the palette. I wish the lighter side of Naked 3 would have been more on par with the first 2 Naked palettes.
Definitely agree! I am now thinking of that second shade in Naked 3 (Buzz? Dust?) which is so pretty in the pan but needs to be built up for ten minutes (with parallel falling on cheeks everywhere) for an ersatz of the pink colour to appear on the lid.
For me, the products just aren’t living up to the hype and it’s gotten chronologically worse (Naked 2 is better than Naked 3 which is better than Naked Basics 1 — so I don’t really want to know about Naked Basics 2!).
The Naked1 Basics did nothing for my skin tone (NC25). Hoping although these are cooler toned, they may work out better for me
Maybe I’m alone in the corner here, but I dig the new version because I never bought the first since black shadows look weird on me. I still kinda regret getting Vice 2 seeing as there are THREE blacks I never use, and two are glittery too, blah. The dark brown is a better option but still looks pretty black–would’ve loved to see a charcoal grey instead!
For a beauty junkie, I don’t own any of the Naked palettes which I guess is kinda weird. So I’m not really sick of them. Lately I’ve been really appreciating having neutrals around for blending and crease work so I might look into these some more. It’s funny I never thought much of the Basics palette, but if I end up getting the Second, I’ll probably also get the first.
I don’t own the first Naked Basics (yet!) and this looks so pretty, unfortunately cool tones are not for me. I might buy it once I buy the first one, so I could use this one as an accent palette maybe.
I held off on the Naked basics because I rarely use black shadow and have tones of warm toned browns. For such a small selection I wanted to know I’d use them all. I can see myself using every colour in this one, so I might actually pick it up!
I don’t see anything wrong in making more Naked products, they are obviously selling and that is UD’s primary goal. They might be much of the same but they are still high quality products and everyone seems to have a different preference when it comes to which palette is their favourite.
This looks exactly the same as the other Naked Basics… come on, UD. Enough already.
Instead of making a billion naked palettes why didn’t they just perfect the ones they had. The first one is the only one I liked but not enough mattes and the colors blend together into a muddy mess. I’ve heard the same thing from many friends. It’s so over rated. I much prefer the chocolate bar palette to these
Agreed.
I agree–the colors seem to just blend together! I have been loving the Too Faced chocolate bar palette lately, too. Naked 1 is probably my favorite…best quality.
I love cool toned neutrals. These colours look great. I hope they don’t disappoint, but knowing UD they will be fabulous.
As I’m always craving for cool toned eye shadows, this one seems perfect for me.
Hmmm…. Naked basics for naked 1…. Naked 2 basics for Naked 2…. How much you want to bet there will be a naked 3 basics for naked 3?
I NEED this. I love Naked Basics and I’m sure I’ll use this palette a lot too. I love all of my Naked palettes, really, and I can never get enough. I don’t think this is too similar to any of the others. But then neutrals are what I love and all I wear, so all of these little differences give me a lot of variety.
Hmmm these colors do look a little more WOC friendly…until like other Naked Basics palette. I still wish they’d have more of a chocolate brown color or reddish brown. All of these look smokey with beige undertones. That doesn’t work for everyone. This will pass for me.
I was never interested in the first one, simply because the colors weren’t anything I loved and there were too many light shades to justify it. But…this palette looks quite up my alley, especially since I love gray and taupe kinds of looks. This would go wonderfully with my Naked 2 palette that I love, or even the Smoked Palette! I’m excited!
I have all three Naked palettes and the dual eyeliners that are paired up with them. I’m pretty much set so I don’t need anymore.
I will be getting this!!!!. I could care less about a trend I am a trend cause I wear what I like and not what someone says i should wear..!
I did such a squeal; I only own the Naked Basics, none of the Naked palettes and I love mattes and taupes, so this is a must buy for me. But my first thought is this would be an amazing palette for brows.
I didn’t like the Naked Basics 1 so I didn’t buy it, but depending on the swatches, I will probably buy this. I love my Naked 3, so if they make a Naked Basics 3 I’ll buy that one too!
They said… “Naked Basics is more than just the long-awaited, multipurpose MATTE companion to Naked”
Now they say… “Cooler in tone than the original, Naked2 Basics complements Naked2 perfectly.”
Does that mean there’s going to be a Naked3 Basics to complement Naked3? Hehehe 🙂
Naked2 Basics is appealing to me more than the first one for some reason. If they do make a Naked3 Basics, I’m expecting a lot 🙂
I think it’s because it has a better shade gradient. Naked Basics had four shades that were so similar that I couldn’t see them creating any true contrast on my fair skin or being at all useful on dark skin.
I’m sure I’ll end up with this in my stash. When they make one for N3, I’m sure I’ll end up with that, too. And I haven’t even picked up the LORAC 2, yet. *sigh* So many palettes!
I’m so glad they’ve created another Basics palette! I really like the first one but I think the cooler tones in this palette might work even better for my skin tone. Now I’m wondering if they are planning on a Basics 3 to complement the Naked3 palette. THAT would be an interesting palette!
I LOVE my UD NAKED MATTE palette but hate the packaging, it gets so dirty that it is embarrassing to pull it out in front of anyone, if they change the material of the package I will definitely get this one too.
Seems pretty identical to the original Naked Basics to me!
Feeling very conflicted about the endless naked palettes UD keeps pushing out. One one hand it’s getting old fast, on the other, I really want to get them (still have yet to buy any). I think a lot of people end up like me: you have so many neutrals in other palettes and quads, it doesn’t make sense to duplicate those with a $50 purchase. But they are such nice quality!
I wish they would do a naked basics palette with shimmery shades, I know the normal naked palettes contain so many of them but for someone with little to spend it would be nice to get this cheaper alternative in a few necessary shimmery shades
I use a lot of mattes in my crease and I think this looks just about perfect. It looks a bit like what I’m working to get in my MAC palette, With this i’d get it in one little palette and much cheaper. I just hope the shadows will perform in great way. I really do like the look of this.
I have the first one and rarely use it, so, even though my UD collector-ism is kicking in, I won’t be getting it. I figure they’ll bring one out to complement Naked3 (which I am going to buy at some point) and then I might consider it.
I wish UD would bring out a couple more permanent bright palettes or something. Or an all matte Electric/Smoked hybrid…
Mattes AND taupes? OMG I cannot wait to get my hands on this.
I can understand how it seems unnecessary the palette might seem, especially for people who own a lot of UD palettes and enjoy owning them… It can suck that one comes out that they just don’t want and that overlaps with what they already own. Either there’ll be a hole in their stash or they have a palette they consider unnecessary…
But I think that for people who don’t have any of them, this just gives a better selection so they can buy one that really suits their needs the best. I have Naked Basics already and I’m not interested in this one because I don’t feel it would fill any hole in my stash or meet any needs that aren’t met makeup-wise, but it’s cool that it exists and if it sells, it’ll prove that it was right! The market doesn’t lie!
I’m sorry but the thing that’s the most annoying about urban decay beating dead horse on the naked line is that they know they can skimp on quality and still make a fortune. My electric palette and pulp fiction palette are both SOLID in terms of manufacturing. The naked palettes have pretty packaging but it’s low quality, with the pans barely glued into the wells. I’m sorry but if you can’t make sure the palette photographed in the promo pics isn’t wonky then I’m scared about the one I plan to purchase (see frisk and cover being askew).
When I bought my naked3 it was my first and last naked palette purchase I think. I took mine home and turned it up to use the mirror the first time and 5 shadows fell out on to my lap. I ended up exchanging it for another one and still am meh about it but didn’t want to return it a second time.
Also I bought the Saucebox Etude palette as my matte neutral shadow palette to be a workhorse to pull looks together and couldn’t be happier with that choice.
Same thing happened to me (pretty much) with Naked 3! I HATE the new packaging and everyone else seems to love it. That happened with a few shadows and I put the back in and most of them were fine, but one day I flipped it over (to get the brush out) and bam!–the second to last dark color fell out and completely shattered! I was pissed but just glad it didn’t happen over the carpet! It sucks to spend money (now it’s at $54 US) on products for this to happen. I got mine for Christmas on the UD website and this happened (where it broke) a few months ago so I didn’t even bother seeing about an exchange.
This happened to my Naked 3 too! After only having the palette for a week or so, I opened it up and 3 of the shades came tumbling out. Never had this issue with any of my other palettes.
Happened to my Naked 2, I lost Foxy and YDK (my favorite). Ended up buying the YDK single – perhaps that was the idea all along? *evil laugh* I find I rarely use the palette anymore, and I own Naked 3 as well but won’t travel with it, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a multipurpose palette like that.
I absolutely love this just like all the other Naked palettes I own! A lot of people are getting sick of the Naked line but for me, I will likely continue to buy everything they put out. I love having a good amount of variety but I only wear neutral colors, so this whole line is a dream come true for me!
See no difference in this and the first Naked basics. I can’t stand the smell of UD shadows, I had all of them… Naked 1,2,3 and basics. But the smell is awful! Gave them to my daughter. Will be sticking with my too faced natural eye… I just purchased another since I used the first one up.
Believe it or not but the Naked Basic palette is the only Naked palette I own. This one gives some extra options than having 3 very light “blending” colors. I won’t be getting it but I think it’s a good one!
I am not a fan of the Naked2 palette. I have all of them and that’s my least fave. I’ll pass on this one.
I have all the Naked palettes and this one is my least fave. I don’t use it hardly at all. I think I will pass on this one.
I am so getting this, loved the first Naked Basics palette.
“Cooler in tone than the original,” – And here I thought the original Naked Basics palette was cool toned enough. I would’ve liked this palette if it had more golden or red matte browns seeing as the only warm matte brown out of all three of the Naked palettes is Buck. That way I wouldn’t mind having both the Basics but this just seems like a waste of money if you already have the original. How many taupe-y browns does someone need?
trying to hold off on getting more neutral palettes but why must they continue releasing these?! still haven’t given into the Naked 1 Basics but looking forward to your review!
A least this one is more balanced. No three-skin-color-shades-that-look-the-same-and-two-really-dark-colors. Just two nice, DIFFERENT base shades, two mediums and two darks. Too bad I found out I don’t really find cool colors that nice on me… Might get it someday, just not now. But I really, REALLY wish UD would do a bright matte palette :/ not exactly neon, but colors with a matte finish. That’s why I don’t really buy UD shadows and never use my naked 2 and Glinda palettes: too much shimmer and glitter.
In response to Arielle’s posting: I have never had a problem with the quality of any of my UD pallets. I hope you exchanged the one that had the color pans fall out!
I love all my Naked palettes and I will have to add this one to my collection. I love the fact that it’s a matte group, there are just not enough mattes in the UD palletes and these look pretty versatile, gotta have it!
I honestly think I’m just going to have to see the two in person and pick one. I don’t have the original, but I’d been thinking about it. I like that this has less nude/skintone shades and more blending/crease/transition colors. Naked2 didn’t work for me by itself, but I loved combining it with other things. This one would pair nicely with many of my very warm-toned singles to round out the look. I think pairing warm and cool colors makes for a more interesting look sometimes.
I’m curious to see swatches next to the first Basics palette to see how different they really are. I’m hoping this means they’ll make one for the Naked 3?
This is great to know. Although, Urban Decay should have released an all-in-one matte palette with 12 warm and cool shades instead of two separate matte palettes.
I heard from another beauty blogger I follow that the release date is August 19th!
Do you know when this will be on ulta.com and sephora.com or at their stores?! I’m obsessed with mattes and loved the first naked basics, so i’m pretty tempted by this but don’t have the patience to wait for it to come back in stock online. I’d rather see in person so i can swatch!
I own Naked 1 and 3 and I am over them. Better palettes on the market.
I was never on the Naked Palette train, but this has me interested. These are more my speed.
Yay!
I was wondering if the Naked Basics 2 will be sold in Sephoras?
Yes!
