Urban Decay Bender Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches

Urban Decay Bender Eyeshadow ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a “forest green metallic with gold micro-glitter.” It’s a darkened, forest green with subtle yellow-olive undertones and cool-toned, forest green and khaki shimmer. It can also be found in the (somewhat) recently released Book of Shadows Vol. 4. Sugarpill Junebug is more metallic. L’Oreal Golden Emerald is warmer, more frosted. OCC Poison is cooler-toned, darker. MAC Humid is warmer. Make Up For Ever #310 is more frosted. Inglot #418 is greener, lighter.

Bender is incredibly rich in color–it has amazing color payoff.  The texture is soft, smooth, and buttery, which helps it yield so much pigment in a single swipe, but it also helps with making this a cinch to blend.  It just applies so well, blends easily, and goes on with true-to-pan color.  Bender has all the characteristics that made Urban Decay’s eyeshadows famous.  When I wore it, the shade lasted nine hours without creasing or fading.

“Bender” is my late mom’s maiden name so I feel I should buy this in honour of her memory but I already have MAC Humid and I don’t often use green shadows. Still, if I can pick up Snare on an upcoming trip across the border, I might “snare” Bender as well.

I’m so sad that this seems to be a sephora exclusive (it is, right?) because wow, this is amazing! Green with golden shimmers? Count me in! I love that it’s different enough from Mac Humid and L’oreal Golden Emerald. The pigmentation looks amazing, that’s what I really love about the UD EYESHADOWS ¨¨.

Oh wait, I just found it on Beautybay, phew! Definitely going to order this one next time! Thanks for the lovely swatches Christine, I’m totally sold on this ^^

Well maybe Urban Decay does know what “bender” means in UK….other than it being “fender bender”. I have this in the BOS 4. It’s ok. But then again, I depotted them all and I dropped my z-pallete so all the colors are now mushed together.

This one is DEFINITELY on my wish list. Actually, it’d be really sweet if there were a pencil liner in their line-up that looks like this too!

Very nice, but I am much more intrigued by the ‘perfect shade of blue’ eyeshadow I see on the lid in the bottom photo. Is this another UD eyeshadow? And what is that finish? I am not a fan of frosts or high shine metallic colors, but satin w/ sparkle is welcome any day.

Dying to know what eyeshadow color/brand it is!

I’m so sorry, but doesn’t the caption in this post for the same ‘look’ image say “Urban Decay Bender Eyeshadow (in crease)”?

Regardless, Peace is the color I was wandering about, so all is well in the end. I am guessing that Radium is in the outer corner and blended into the crease along with Bender (the caption for look in Radium post doesn’t specify the placement, so I thought it was the only blue on the mobile lid, my bad).

Your eyebrow looks super fabulous today. The shape looks really good. Of course the makeup looks lovely on you too. I haven’t seen any colors that look bad on you. You really know how to make the color work for you. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought Mac’s Humid less than a week ago and this is too similar to Humid. Loving the pigmentation though. Maybe I’ll compare the two in person and decide. :).

Wow that swatched a LOT darker than I expected it to! It’s still beautiful though. As someone mentioned before, this would absolutely be a gorgeous alternative to a black liner!
