Exactly the same as you! I would add though that one of my yardsticks for a brand as a whole when it comes to eyeshadows is that it makes blue ones, and does them well! Particularly if they successfully manage a matte cobalt…

The color (‘cos I’m really specific about that, so I struggle to find exactly the same shade I have in my head), then finish and pigmentation.

Quality of the ingredients. No crappy stuff
Blend ability like butter
No flash, stay put during the day without primer

I agree with all three of your answers, Christine. The main one for me is blendability, because I don’t like to spend 15 minutes trying to blend out my shadows.

Pigmentation, staying power and where it is made (preferably US/UK/France/Germany, but anywhere but China).

So true, where it is made. It is a given that it is not made in China for me.
You are the first person that I have read here as to not buying in China is imp to you.
I get attack here almost every time I voice this. Thank you. Thank you.
I don’t want to be poison……

I like my shadows pigmented, blendable and with as little fall out as possible. Especially when it comes to shimmery shadows. I hate cleaning up glitter

Now that I’ve gotten my hands on Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar, I’m tempted to say, “does it smell like chocolate?” 😉

Ok I’m scared. I said the exact same thing as you in the same order before opening the link, Christine!

For me no fall out is on the top of the priority list, followed by pigmentation and that the colour is more or less true to pan so when I’m deciding what to wear I know what I see is what I get and not have to keep in mind which eyeshadows actually look totally different when applied.

I agree with you! But I also look for color, lol. Color, Texture, Pigmentation 🙂 Thank you for correcting my previous comment about companies owning various brands 🙂 I was trying to generalize but also be somewhat specific but was way off. I really appreciate your fixing that! 🙂 it would be awesome if you could list each main branch and their offspring! 😀 ( I think Shiseido owns Nars, etc. Channel is sisters with Bourjois etc.) It would help us all have a reference to save money and compare! Please and thank you Christine!

Pigmentation, little to no fall out and blendability. Pigmentation because theres nothing more disappointing than an eyeshadow thats pretty in the pan and it doesn’t translate to the skin, no fall out because it’s a pain to clean up and blendability because I am a busy lady who needs the eyeshadow to do some of the work for me!
