Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

As a gray-green eyed human, light, soft golds are a total standby for me! I keep adding High Tide to my Colourpop shopping cart… remove… add……. reconsider, remove again… maybe, for $5, it’s time to just get the darned thing! 🙂

I have that MUFE shadow (in the Nudes You Need palette) but never use it – I really ought to remember. I think my favourite gold shadow is probably Too Faced Honey Pot (which they might be phasing out – it was in the original Natural Eye palette but that one has been replaced and perhaps even the replacement is being discontinued…they seem to be discontinuing a lot of stuff).

While I do have MUFE ME512, and I love it a whole lot, I am now eyeing ColourPop Fringe. I have always overlooked that one, and it really looks very molten and rich! As does Ardenncy Inn Sunday, too! When golds or coppers have that molten metal look and perform well, they have the WOW factor.

I have just recently discovered Colorpop shadows (I have used their lippies for quite awhile, but not the shadows or blushes). I have really been pleased with their performance (I have five of them, and will definitely be picking up more). I didn’t have high expectations given the price point, but they out perform a lot of my high end shadows. Quite a testament that two of their shadows made your top five list here.
