Top 5: Soft Gold Eyeshadows
If you prefer lighter golds, here’s a look at the top five, permanent soft gold eyeshadows I’ve come across!
- Ardency Inn Sunday (A+)
- ColourPop Fringe (A)
- Gucci Antique Gold (A)
- ColourPop High Tide (A)
- Make Up For Ever ME512 (A)
As a gray-green eyed human, light, soft golds are a total standby for me! I keep adding High Tide to my Colourpop shopping cart… remove… add……. reconsider, remove again… maybe, for $5, it’s time to just get the darned thing! 🙂
I think you’d like High Tide!
I have that MUFE shadow (in the Nudes You Need palette) but never use it – I really ought to remember. I think my favourite gold shadow is probably Too Faced Honey Pot (which they might be phasing out – it was in the original Natural Eye palette but that one has been replaced and perhaps even the replacement is being discontinued…they seem to be discontinuing a lot of stuff).
It’s nice for brightening and smudging over darker eyeliner, too 🙂
While I do have MUFE ME512, and I love it a whole lot, I am now eyeing ColourPop Fringe. I have always overlooked that one, and it really looks very molten and rich! As does Ardenncy Inn Sunday, too! When golds or coppers have that molten metal look and perform well, they have the WOW factor.
Sunday is sooo nice! The texturei s lovely.
Sunday is the most appealing to me 🙂 I’m just hoping it’s not a dupe for a specific eyeshadow I already have.
I love that shade so much!
I love that there are two $5 shadows in there!
😀
These are so beautiful, and I like how they are all a little different in color. I don’t have any of these yet. Some of my favorite golds are ColourPop Get Lucky and Amira, Ardency Inn Modster Maruka Honey in Heaven, and LORAC Unlimited (Unziped Gold) and Gilded (Pro Metal).
Get Lucky is a great shade! 🙂
OK, I lied. I didn’t realize that the MUFE was the shade in Nudes You Need. I do have it and use it quite a bit on my lids. I wish MUFE would give them names! 😛
Ah, I want all of the Ardency Inn shadows! They all just look so beautiful. I love the hint of warmth in Sunday.
They are nice!
Colourpop Fringe is my favorite out of those.
Yay!
I have just recently discovered Colorpop shadows (I have used their lippies for quite awhile, but not the shadows or blushes). I have really been pleased with their performance (I have five of them, and will definitely be picking up more). I didn’t have high expectations given the price point, but they out perform a lot of my high end shadows. Quite a testament that two of their shadows made your top five list here.
Thanks Christine for all of your work on this site to help all of us makeup junkies make good purchasing decisions! I love the sisterhood of makeup lovers 🙂
Thank you so much, Alicia! <3
Gold! I don’t have any of these, and they all look just lovely! (I do have others) 🙂
What others would you rec, Helene? 🙂
I must check, I know I have some lighter golds, but the thing is to find them 🙂
Too much makeup? No, there’s no such thing, right. Right?
No such thing. Or else I’d be the first one in line to be fired!
These are just beautiful gold colours. Even though I love the Antique gold by Gucci – at $37 it is a bit rich, but the Colour Pop Fringe for just $5 is equally as beautiful. Thank you for this roundup. Love gold eye shadows.
Happy to share!
I love Stila’s gold shadows. Starlight, Oasis, and Wheat are their lighter ones.
Those look pretty!
All so pretty! I want them all!
😀
All A’s!!!! I am loving Gold eyeshadows lately!! I think that one from MUFE is a good one. Thanks for these recommendations! 😀
My pleasure, Laarni!
