What is Coastal Scents? Never heard of it, but Too Faced is always quality and beautiful! In answer to your question, yes, you really need this.

On a more product ingredients rather than quality argument …

Coastal Scents is made in China (just like NYX). I’ve got to admit that I don’t trust the products. Especially after the melamine scandals involving pet food and infant milk products (and various and sundry others that haven’t gotten massive press coverage). While we typically aren’t ingesting our makeup, we are applying the products to our skin.

My Too Faced Shadow Insurance is made in the US and I suspect their shadows are as well. While US regulatory agencies wouldn’t get high marks from me, I rate them higher than some other regulatory agencies (such as China’s).

I suppose its a “how far are you willing to go for your beauty routine” type question on my end.

I tossed all my Chinese made makeup, and have been concentrating mostly on MAC and Stila purchases (with Canadian, US, Italian, German, and French ancestry).

I was looking at this shadow collection the other day! I’m really considering getting it, especially since I work in an office and neutrals are always easy to work with 🙂

I just bought the Neutral Eye Shadow Collection, and it’s amazing. Definetly worth the money. The shadows are super silky and pigmented, they really do feel luxe.
