Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette ($49.00 for 0.43 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that features 18 shades with a mix of mattes and shimmers and runs warm-toned overall. It had a sweet vanilla scent, but I didn’t get any gingerbread/spice scent. Here are swatches…

Oh wow I’m impressed. I was expecting the usual Too Faced holiday fiasco, but these swatches look solid
guessing A- maybe?!
Spiced Rum and Spice of Life are nice – most of the others are completely unwearable for me and, once gain, just more clones of Modern Renaissance.
Really cute colours but looks very dupeable
Yes, I ordered this. No, I didn’t need it. I’m glad to see that the swatches look pretty darn good!
Spice of Life is beautiful! Makes me want to break out Rose Gold pigment by MAC.
WT absolute F? Too Faced swatching better than Viseart? I guess wonders never WILL cease. Jerrod’s chemists and formulators are onto something! The tf staff will party all night, when they see these swatch comparisons.
I actually thought that too – I actually like this palette better than Viseart’s – not that I would buy it – too many orangey shades for me, but still. And the names of the shades are decent too,
I would have preferred this over Modern Renaissance myself, but I also have the Lime Crime Venus XL, which has a lot of dupes for this one. So fortunately I can pass.
Wow, these look nice! I have not been impressed with Too Faced eyeshadows. So, I never bought any. But, if your review is good, this will be my 1st buy.
I can’t believe I am saying this about Too Faced – but I think that this is actually a really good palette. A few of the shades are redundant (a couple of oranges there) and it would have been nicer if TF had added a couple of greens….but this is really autumnal in theme.
That’s really pretty. I hope it’s good! I think we’ve all learned to be wary of TF holiday releases. I was reading over on MUA, and a MUA’er called this “Desert Dusk Lite”. Now that I see your swatches I think she was spot on! It does give major Huda teas. I can’t wait for your review!
Wow! This palette swatches so beautifully! I just know it will be one of the more stellar offerings of what is always an oversaturated holiday market.
Now; I do have one issue with it, having looked up its ingredients. The “flavor/fragrance /aroma one. TF: is this sodium saccharin or not? I would rather see the true ingredients listed than this vaguely suggestive ones!
Not that I need it in any way but I’m defo gonna buy this when it releases here… good thing I’m on the Mecca insider list for pre-release sales 🙂
I had nearly talked myself out of getting this since I’m picking up some of the Colour Pop Disney collection, but these swatches are so lovely! Can’t wait to see what looks you put together with it.
This looks great but not unique. Reminds me of Colourpop Fortune.
I was really hoping the swatches would be bad because it is sooo cute! Oh well, I’m totally worth it.
Love that eye look, Christine.
WOW! I don’t know about Frostbite, but the other swatches look great! Sometimes Too Faced can really surprise us, like their Chocolate Gold palette and Peachy Matte palettes are excellent
As soon as I see reds and oranges I know I’m not going to be buying the palette. I know they look good on some but not on me and I have too many palettes with pans of these shades already that will go unused.
As one of the only makeup enthusiasts on Earth who doesn’t own Modern Renaissance and loves the Too Faced formula, I snapped this one right up and after 3 days of use so far so good. Despite the packaging being holiday themed I think it’s great for fall.
Pretty but redundant. Between TF’s own Chocolate Bar, original Peach palette, and their recent Razzle Berry/Raspberry one, I have all the shades several times over.
Nice palette. Still a couple colors close enough to each other that I doubt they’d appear different in a multi-color eye look. And yet another palette I don’t need since I have something like every one of these colors, But … it looks like a solid contender overall.
I really want to get this but I feel like I have all these shades already. I’m really conflicted. It’s just so darn cute… and I was really looking forward to huffing the gingerbread scent every time I used it. You may have just killed it for me Christine by saying you only smell vanilla. LOL. I think the scales have been tipped to the PASS category for me, but the makeup junkie in me REALLY wants it.
Cohesive palette, looks like it’ll have nice rating, but I can find no reason to purchase it. I’m sure my vanity will have too many dupes.
This is Colourpop’s “Fortune,” only more expensive. Colourpop’s is only $22 and doesn’t have unnecessary fragrance.
Beautiful.
I’m trying to talk myself out of this because I know I’d only use it for, maybe, 2 months out of the year lol. It’s so cute, though!!!
Side note: was it ever given a grade?
Hi Ashley,
It’s the holiday season, so I’m very, very behind – I try to post swatches immediately but I’m going to be slow to review a number of products as I’m just trying to keep up with swatching the new launches quickly and getting reviews out as I can.
Gotcha! I can’t even imagine how busy you are this time of year! For some reason I thought I had either missed or couldn’t find the review 🙂 Thank you so much for all that you do!!!
I don’t need this, but I want it. I don’t know what it is about a brand new palette, they get me everytime.
