The Spring Season: Warmer Pinks Lipstick Wrap-up
The Spring Season: Warmer Pinks Lipstick Wrap-up
I’m actually surprised by the volume of warmer-toned pinks featured in the Spring Season. I always thought finding the right warm pink was difficult, but perhaps not!
Similarities…
- #1 (Benefit Candy Store) is a more pigmented, slightly more coral version of #3 (Chanel Exquise).
- #8 (Guerlain Gemma) is a stunning shade, and the closest dupe I’ve encountered thus far is #10 (Korres #22)–Gemma is brighter and pinker, but Korres #22 has the cool golden sheen of Gemma that makes it so unique.
- #11 (Lancome Voile de Rose) made a big splash amongst readers, and though we have no exact dupe, #9 (Korres #13) and #15 (Shiseido PK 327) come close.
- #7 (Guerlain Gabrielle) seems like a slightly more coral version of #17 (Urban Decay Peroxide).
- #5 (Cle de Peau #106) is a brighter, more intense version of #16 (Urban Decay Naked).

This round up makes me really want to get into pink lipsticks
Still so envious that the Maybelline Warm Me Up lipstick turns up pink on your lips, on me is turns a dirty mauve colour =[ sometimes I really hate having such pigmented lips, makes light pinks/nudes so hard to sift through!
I agree with Diana. I’ll probably buy some new pinks soon!
I love round-ups like this cause I can really test myself on which ones I liked when you showed them individually! I look at the whole collage and pick my favourites and if they match what I said I loved, then it gives me more incentive to buy them!!
Me too 🙂
I love pink! Thanks for these posts. I like to see all the shades together because I can easily compare them.
No prob, Lala!
Awesome 🙂 I already have a couple of the o that are my favorites (#1, #3, #6, #11, and #16)!
I bought Candy Store because of your swatches on here, as well as Voile de Rose, and I adore both of them. I have Naked from earlier, and love it too . . . Thanks for your swatches!
Aww 😀 My pleasure!
Can anyone tell me the number of the Voile de Rose lipstick?!
I tried looking for it this weekend and all the Lancome le Rouge Absolu lipsticks just have numbers, not names on the testers.
SO annoying!
(The SA wasn’t all that helpful either :-p)
All of ours have just names and no numbers 🙁
Poo.
I tried the Lancome website and everything (waaahhh! -> goes off to have a cry…)
Thanks for trying anyway 🙂
(the Rouge G lipsticks are like that here too, numbers only. Grrrr. Though I see you include numbers on your reviews so THANKS!!!)
Guerlain puts both the name and number on their lipsticks, and Sephora has the numbers listed with the names, too (on the U.S. site). Sometimes I’ll try and Google to get the number that tags along with the name, but Lancome… I can never find!
