The Scarlet Season: Clinique Parisian Red Lipstick

Clinique Parisian Red Lipstick ($14.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a glossy, just-bitten red with pinky tones. Parisian Red is part of Clinique’s Butter Shine Lipstick line-up, which is described as “wearable color” with sheer to moderate coverage. Parisian Red was a limited edition shade from Clinique’s holiday collection last year, but you can still find Parisian Red at Nordstrom! 🙂 The formula itself is creamy, smooth, and incredibly moisturizing. It does feel like a very glossy lipstick, actually. The color itself is opaque enough to give lips plenty of pop, but they’re not completely opaque. I really love this particular shade of red for the formula itself, because it’s so easy and comfortable to wear.

What about you? Would you wear this red?

The Scarlet Season is a series of posts showcasing and featuring my favorite shades of red lips–from glosses to lipsticks that runs through December 2009. You can sure expect to see a lot of red this holiday season!

That’s so pretty, I think I will have to try that product out!
One question: Is that the lipstick at full size? If so, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of product :/

Thanks for showing this! I’ve been looking for a great red lip product lately and this series came at the perfect time!
I want to know, what is your all-time favorite red lip product? I have no preference as far as coverage since I’m fair-skinned and don’t have thin lips, which I’ve heard are two qualities that allow you to get away with pretty bold lips. And I know you’ve pretty much tried them all!

My pleasure, Lena!

Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Laque is still my favorite. I have about thirty shades I’ve never seen still to swatch and test, though, so it could change.

I love love this colour, a wearable pinky red I have been looking for!
so bad I cant try it on in store, is there any other lipsticks that this colour? please recommand!

I think this is nice. Do you think someone super pale would be able to pull this off? I don’t know what color would be good for someone pale but I heard pink-undertones would be perfect, so I’m looking for something good.
