Terra Moons Sundazed Extreme Multichrome Shadow ($17.00 for 0.05 oz.) has a blackened base with a multichromatic shift that went between deep copper, rich marigold, molten gold, and olive green. It had a smooth, metallic sheen that was reflective without being prone to emphasizing lid texture.
The consistency was soft, lightly emollient, and not too firmly nor too softly pressed into the pan, so it wasn’t prone to fallout and picked up well with a dry brush. It had rich color payoff in a single layer that stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have a black base and "intense color changes" that are best applied with fingertip or a dry brush, as they are "very pigmented and smooth." The brand recommends not to blend them too much to "preserve the extreme multichrome shift."
The blackened base was noticeable, but often, it wasn't quite as dark or as intense as I've experienced with other black-base multichromes, so they were a little more forgiving if one blended them out a little too much. Most of the shades lived up to the "extreme" part of the shift, too!
They were richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was lightly emollient but not too thick or too densely-packed into the pan, so it was easy to pick up product with a dry brush as well as fingertips/dampened brushes if preferred. The eyeshadow applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. They lasted between seven and eight hours on me before creasing visibly.

Mood Ring
Terra Moons Mood Ring Extreme Multichrome Shadow ($17.00 for 0.05 oz.) has a blackened base with a multichromatic shift that went between cobalt blue to brighter, bluish-teal to emerald green paired with a bright, metallic finish.
The consistency was soft without being too fragile or too loosely-pressed, which made it easy to pick up with a dry brush, but it had enough slip that it adhered well to bare skin and blended out easily along the edges. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Looking Glass
Terra Moons Looking Glass Extreme Multichrome Shadow ($17.00 for 0.05 oz.) has a blackened base with a multichromatic shift that went between warmer purple to deep, more violet purple to muted, bluish-teal to brighter, greener-teal that had a metallic sheen.
It had an incredibly smooth, lightly emollient consistency that was soft to the touch but wasn’t prone to powderiness. The eyeshadow applied with full color coverage in a single layer and diffused well along the edges. This shade lasted well for eight hours before creasing slightly on my eye.

Ohhh Looking Glass is so pretty!
Looking Glass is like oil slick hair for your eyes! These are lovely.
Mood Ring and Looking Glass are just so worthy of my oohs and ahhs. Amazing levels of shift in them. Plus, they are shades I would absolutely wear. Idk, but I may even like them more than Clionadh’s!
I love the shade combinations of these mulitchromes – the blue and the green, and the gold and the bronze. Just beautiful.

I love multichrome eyeshadows, but I was wondering how to use them to avoid to have eyes of different colors… no large surfaces I think, but then you lose all the multichrome effect… I am puzzled.
Do you just mean like the shift would be at a different part of the spectrum if you had it on both eyes? I mean, I think part of the appeal for folks on Multichromes is that effect!

How does this compare against Clionadh?

Which one would you recommend as more beginner friendly and easy to use?
If you are in the US and just want to get one shade, Terra Moons is likely better since it’ll be more affordable. I would say to get one without a black base, too, which will give you greater versatility 🙂

I really like the new swatch layout on these multichromes. And I like that you’ve been showing us crazy amount of indie cosmetics right after I swore off buying new makeup because everything was the same as I already had. I own one true multichrome and damnit if I don’t need more. Looking glass has got my name all over it.
