when it’s a special occasion, I prefer to go neutral on the eyes and bold on lips … like bright red or bright pink.
Depends. If it’s a black and white, I do neutral eyes and bold lips-a red. For a night affair, smokey eyes and neutral lips.
I always do nudey lips and smokey eyes… i just vary the smokey-ness from subtle brown smokey eyes to dark smokey eyes to suit the occassion.
You can never go wrong with smokey eyes i think ;D
I really think it depends on the outfit. But I do love red lips and maybe a champagne eye color with false lashes!
Completely highlight my entire face and do very soft mineral browns for a cut-crease.
Depends on the outfit, i like to match my make up with it. If it’s flashy, i make sure i use glitter to bling my eyes and do bold lips.
I keep it very natural, I used latte from Lancome on the eyes to brighten them up. Use a nice pink blush. And use Syrup from MAC on the lips.
I will do a smokey-eye that goes with what I am wearing (either grey/silver, plum, brown, blue . . . ) and a pale lip. I don’t think I will ever get tired of that look . . .
I second Michelle’s post. I will sometimes do a neutral eye and bold lip, but for some reason, as I’ve gotten older, the bold lip doesn’t look so great anymore. I do have outstanding eyes though (or so I’m told), so I never miss an opportunity to play them up!
Usually a gold smokey eye with a nude lip (I attend a lot of dinner parties– don’t want to do a red lip that will need to be re applied every single time I take a bite!).

Unless my outfit is some gorgeous color that needs to be matched up with my makeup, I normally go for classic neutrals: smokey bronze eyes and a red lipstain. If I wear wear a blue dress, I’d probably go for smokey navy/teal eyes, a yellow dress would get me in gold shadow, etc.
if depends on the occasion. Usually I will go with a nude eye with muted bronze gold colours with a bold lip. But lately I have been using colourful eyes with neutral lips.

During the day/early afternoon, I definitely go with colored smokey eyes . I love to play with color. The tones I choose depend on the color of clothes I am wearing that day. As for the lips, I would go for nude tones, but with a pinch of color (light pink, light peach, etc.)+ gloss (ie. Turkish Delight)
During the evening is usually wear bolder smokey eyes – black and white- most of the time, with very nude lips. Nowadays, I really love to emphasize my eyes. Earlier on, I used to wear really bold lip colors in the evening. Sometimes I do, but once every blue moon.
Depends on what I’m wearing and who I’m with. The last event I went to was my cousin’s wedding where I wore a purple dress, so I wore a smoky purple eye, Dainty blush and pinky gold lips. I knew I’d be air kissing a lot of people that night so I didn’t want to do a really bold lip.
If its dinner with my BF, I do smoky eyes, big lashes and pink or nude lips. He doesn’t like the glitter or bright lipstick on him! If its a night with the girls, I’d do fuschia or red lips, then liquid eyeliner and big lashes.
I always do a natural eye and dramatic lip for special events.
If its a night affair, usually I’ll do old Hollywood type eye liner and a bold lip.
I don’t really have a special occasion makeup look because I have a tendency to somewhat match my shadows with the clothes I’m wearing. If its an evening occasion then I do tend to do smokey looks (but again matching with whatever I will be wearing for the evening. ei: I am wearing something green then I will do green/brown smokey eyes)
for a special occasion i tend to go with eyeliner, colored or neutral eyeshadow, and a a soft color on my lips
Depends on the outfit. If I am wearing a dress or a blouse in a bright color, I tend to go with either a soft taupe-ish smoky eye and a sheer peachy gold lip; or a neutral, very soft smoky eye with pinkish red lips. If the outfit is a neutral color (black, white, navy, or gold/taupe), I tend to wear a stronger version of one of the above looks on my face (meaning that I either wear a smoky-ier eye with an almost totally nude lip or a redder lip with a much more neutral eye).
I’ve been doing a lot of smoky eye with nude lip combo, this works for me because I like to wear outfits with a nice pop of color, and also I don’t have to reapply the lipstick after dinner. This look is more smooch friendly as well:) Still, if I’m doing an outfit that’s in a neutral color or is dark, I adore a polished neutral eye with full-on classic red lips (MAC Russian Red or Viva Glam I topped with clear lipglass!)
