MAC Impassioned stains your lips so it looks like it lasts forever. Really impressed with the lasting power of Revlon red/pinks (Cherries in the Snow, Strawberry Suede).

I have no idea. Why I a notorious for chewing it off. I always need lipstick with me to re-apply once an hour, or so. I cant stop it. I hate it and por lipstains are just as edible. On the plus side, I have soft lips from all that exfoliating. What I really hate is when I do it to really expensive lipstick. AARRGG. My poor YSL Lingerie Pink.

when applied correctly, MACs ruby woo will last up to 8 hours on me.
technique:
1. apply neutral colored lip liner to entire lips
2. dab on a TINY bit of chap stick or non-sticky lip balm
3. carefully apply ruby woo lipstick from the tube (or with a brush for more precise application)
4. lightly powder with loose translucent powder
5. apply another layer of lipstick
6. touch up edges with small angled brush and concealer
7. remove any lipstick from the inside of lips with finger

do not top off with gloss. ruby woo is matte.

i agree… i apply ruby woo with just some liner (on the edges of my lips, not the entire lip) and it lasts FOREVER… so i know your method creates concrete lipstick LOL

I have to agree with you Christine. I got no. 75 and not only is it my new favourite red of all time but it is the only one that lasts on me. I dont know what Id have done if you didnt introduce us to it. Thanks. 🙂

the chanel dual ended longwear lipstick, i forget the name but it has one end you paint on and a second that leaves a glossy finish. in my opinion you dont need the gloss end as the lipstick is so creamy and comfortable on its own!! i love it because unlike most two step lipsticks the first step doesnt dry like acrylic paint on your lips! the first step is creamy and comfortable and while it wears off it doesnt flake, it leaves behind a nice stain!

Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani is true to their claim for moi 🙂 I have one of the browns and pinks. I will probably pick up a red one next.

Illamasqua’s Box, Maneater and Tramp (all matte reds) last 4 to 6 hours on me w/o reapplication. Also MAC’s Russian Red and Ruby Woo. If you want something that actually works to keep your lippie on order some Lipcote from the UK (http://www.lipcote.com/) it really does work!

Dior Creme de Gloss is amazing. It will last on me at least through a 5-hour shift, including a meal, which is far longer than any other product. What I like is that it fades naturally and evenly, rather than leaving a dark ring around the outside and only fading in the centre of my lips.

Mac’s Matte Lipsticks such as Russian Red, Ruby Woo… Non Mattes such as Brick O La stays on me a long time…Most reds I find do that.

The darker/brighter MAC Cremesheens + liner can last on me ALL day with no touchups on me, but seriously dry out my lips if I let them. I rather prefer the Laura Mercier stickglosses and they can actually last a good 5-6 hours on my lips if I’m not eating or drinking, and they’re so conditioning they’re the only lipstick I don’t have to wear balm under, so I positively adore them.

Any MAC Amplified Creme or Matte finish lipstick will last me at least 3-4 hours if I don’t eat (drinking is fine, lol). Also, Laura Mercier lip stains hang around a good long time as well.

Maybelline’s red lipstick in Very Cherry. I got this as a part of one of the fashion week goodies, and I swatched it on my hand. I washed and rubbed my hand multiple times with soap and water, and the next day it was still there!
