That’s funny! Fleshpot is the color of my face. It’s basically foundation as lipstick. I thought Myth was the closest thing to a non-pro lip erase, but no…it’s Fleshpot, for me.

Yes, same here! haha. I have a weird skintone, though. Mine can go neutral, warm, or cool. But I’m definitely a pale “suchandsuch”15. Maybe lighter, to match my neck!

Preserving my skin for my less graceful years.

Ochre Style eyeshadow – Christine, I know you said you didn’t think it was great on you but it’s such a perfect “natural” shade on me that I hardly use mine outta fear of running out!!!!!

Nouveau Frou from the Originals Collection.

I´ve heard lots of bad things about it, but it is my go-to lip color, when I´m in a rush or uncreative or want a low maintenance look, it goes with everything. I bought several backups 😉

I would have to say the Alexander McQueen collection. It didn’t seem like too many people liked the colors, but blues and greens are my favorite so I couldn’t help but love it.

Do you have any tips on how to really make this collection work? I have all three eyeshadows, Pharaoh paint pot, Nothingless lipglass, and New Vegas MSF. I’ve tried the shadows as accents to looks with other similar colors (Nars Rated R duo, Surreal/Shimmermoss) but I still haven’t figured out how to really make those shadows stand out.

Everyone seems to hate on Parfait Amour…I absolutely love it and have NO problems getting color payoff (and I’m NC25-30ish)

Entremauve is another one I see people hate on a lot. I absolutely adore it…it’s such a nice deep purple with the red (pink?) sparkle in it…

people hate on the MAC purples…I need to invest in that MUFE92 color and see what the hype is about 😉

On the flip side everyone completely adores that hot pink lippie from Barbie…I never understood that and still don’t (but maybe it’s because it just doesn’t look good on me?)

Every seems to hate Lustre eye shadows, the glitter, the texture, etc. I love them! I probably have most of them that were ever released.

Nobody likes Provence pigment! I love it. Sure, it’s a little chunky, but at least it’s not a glitterbomb like, say, Naked pigment.

(Watch me write an essay…)

Dunno about hated, but here’s some stuff I love that I don’t see much hype about: Lovebud & Amethyst lustre e/s (I’m not the biggest lustre fan but these two work great on me – too bad they’re LE), Mon Cherry TLC Stick (I had to track down a 2nd one because I completely used my first one up within a year! I love the TLC Sticks in general), and a bunch of lippies: Plink!, Sophisto, VGIV, Full on Lust (there were so many nice glosses in the Originals collection!), Jewelbright, Berry Boost, Rougette, Hot Tahiti, Ample Pink…

Conversely, people seem to love the MAC makeup wipes but lord I hate them – they dry my skin out, sting when I use them, and smell weird, augh! The smell’s a total spousal giveaway, too: “You’ve been to the MAC counter, haven’t you?” Heh. To be fair, I don’t like makeup wipes in general – my skin is too sensitive. I use cream or oil-based cleansers followed by a mild soap and then moisturizer.

I also can’t do the concealer lip look. I’m NC15 (very pink toned, actually, but I neutralize it) but my lips are pigmented, so having them really paled out is just scary on me, and most of those lipsticks are too yellow/beige. N3 or Ample Pink is as pale as I go so far, but Fleshpot made my skin crawl. 😉

I’ve heard so many bad things about Rose pigment, but I ordered a sample from someone because it looked so pretty. Well, sure enough, I got it and HATED the texture and the way it applied. But then I realized that it looks amazing on top of a clear gloss. It just goes to show that sometimes the horrible products can be great if used in a completely different way 😉

Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mousse foundation – it’s a love-it-or-hate-it product and there seem to be more haters. I found it worked very well for me and even though it’s not my Holy Grail, I still use it every once in awhile and love it.

Urban Decay’s ‘Lounge’ eyeshadow — it seems (around my area, anyway) that I am the only one who adores it. Recently, they haven’t been selling it in Sephora — which is a shame, ’cause it’s gorgeous. 🙂 Makes green eyes pop.
