Max Factor 2000 Calorie-I have tried all the masacras out there, drugstore and dept. store and this make my lashes look better then all the others. Thickens, lengthens and lasts through the night!

It doesn’t matter what mascara I use – as long as I use Shiseido’s Mascara Base underneath. It’s the ultimate! My lashes are so straight I usually have to blast my lash curler with a hairdryer for 30 seconds and then clamp the curler on my lashes for 2 minutes…then an hour later my lashes would straighten out again. Not so with Shiseido’s Mascara Base! I’m already stockpiling these in my Sephora.com shopping cart for next months F&F sale!

A week ago, I would have said Diorshow Blackout. And it’s still amazing.

However, I ended up with a sample of the Body Shop’s Super Volume mascara and it is the love of my life. My lashes are full and long and soft. Best of all, no clumps. At all. I’ve tried to make the mascara clump, just to see if I could, and I couldn’t.

Love!

– Diorshow (when I have $)
– Max Factor 2000 Calorie when I’m po’
– L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black
– and lately, Tarte 4-in-1. I didn’t originally care for this but it’s starting to really move me.

BAD GAL is the best I tried Dior Show for a while and as much as i wanted to love it but couldnt it was dry and flaky! So.. I went back to my Bad Gal but I am goingt o give Plushlash Mascara from MAC a try tomorrow! We will see how it does!

Rimmel Lash Maxx…Ihave this thing where my eyelashes go every which way, and I tried combing them out of the way with a brush but it didn’t work! This mascara has a small brush on the wand so it allows me to brush my lashes up and away 😀 and they look nice and long too

Shelli Avatar

I use Cil definition from Maybeline, every day it really makes my lashes look longer and adds more volume, the high impact mascara from Clinique isn’t too bad either

Amy Avatar

I use the maybelline mascara in the pink and lime green tube. I don’t know the exact name of it, just the packaging because it hasn’t changed it’s look for years and years. I still love it!

Overall, I’d have to give the ‘holy grail’ award to Maybelline Great Lash because it is so smooth and does everything (lengthens, thickens, etc.)
I do love Lancome’s L’Extreme because it is the best mascara I have tried for lengthening, but at $29 a pop, Iwould rather not buy this all the time–especially when Great Lash is a very good mascara and clearly a better value.
Now there are so many more I want to try…the new MAC one and Benefit’s BAD GAL to start!

I use CoverGirl LashExact. My lashes are already fairly long and thick. Anytime I use one for thickening, my lashes clump. LashExact gives me that separated, natural look but better. Also it’s cheap, which is ideal for me so I also use Rimmel. Their wand is made like a little comb so getting all the little edges is super simple.

Loreal Telescopic Mascara

Definately the BEST mascara ever produced, it lengthens up to 60%,thickens and curls lashes too. I have naturally straight and stubborn,so I was shocked and happy when this mascara actually curls up my lashes and holding it up for the whole day.

*NOte* No eyelash curler was being use at all, just the mascara aone works wonder.

Kiss me Mascara is the best for my eyes
but the price is just too much

pretty much the same but in order of which one i like
Clinique double lash
Lancome fatle
Anna Sui volume
Cover girl Lash exact

Dont like
sorry it has to be all Maybelline
totally doesnt match my eyes
but the most decent of all of them is Full N soft

Lancome Paris “L’Extreme.” This mascara is the best. No need for an eyelash curler. Both waterproof and regular formulas are long lasting and very comfortable.

Dior Show was awful, for me. Did nothing for my lashes and made my eyes puffy! I must be allergic! Hehe.

I swear by L’Oréal Telescopic. I get unbelievable length and curl! 😀

– Diorshow (ordinary version, waterproof version sucks)
– Diorshow unlimited (my favourite, absolutely perfect for a dramatic look)
– Chanel inimitable (very natural)
– Lancome Hypnose

I know a lot of people don’t like it, but I loooove MAC’s Mascara X in Black. I have long, blonde lashes and all I really want is too add some color to them. I like Mascara X because it looks totally natural on me – I don’t like over the top, fake looking lashes for day.

YSL’s Everlong is amazing-it creates length, some volume, and fans out your lashes like no other. plus it has lash conditioners in it and i swear since i’ve started using it my eyelashes have grown a bit-it’s amazing! it’s also the only mascara i’ve ever used that doesn’t clump at all.

before this one i liked diorshow a decent amount, but it stung my eyes.

a decent cheap alternative to the YSL is maybelline’s define-a-lash. it has a similar applicator, but it’s a little too runny for my taste. but once it’s dry, this stuff doesn’t budge.

vinna Avatar

I totally agree with SKB who mentioned Shiseido’s Mascara Base. That works wonders.
I like Diorshow but it tends to smudge after a while on me. My favorite mascaras at the moment are: Covergirl Lash Exact and Chanel Inimitable.

bec Avatar

I also agree with SKB and Vinna in regards to Shiseido’s Mascara Base. It’s absolutely amazing!!

My HG mascaras have got to be YSL Faux Cils and Diorshow.

Audrey Avatar

Shu Uemura Mascara Basic works the best for me. It holds a curl like nobodys business, doesnt clump or flake or smudge all day and is a pretty glossy black shade. Its pricey at $27.50 but so worth it- one tube has lasted me 7 months with daily use!

My favorite mascara has to be Lancome Definicils, and Cils Booster Xl. They do wonders! I don’t leave the house with out them on. It does bite my wallet.

My second favorite is Bourjois Yes to Volume! No to Clumps Mascara. It gives an awesome falsies look and the tube really brightens my makeup box.

i tried many many different mascaras, here are a 6 reviews:
1.: my all time favourite :
Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils in Black!!!
2.:CHANEL Mascara Cils d’eau 55 aqualilas. i got it since ages, and it is still working. i bought it about 7 years ago 😀 it is discontinued,i think.
3.:Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara. i got it free as a sample, but it is very good.
4.: anything from L’oreal is good and cheap. Lash architect and so on.
5.:sorry to all Maybelline Graet Lash lovers: it does simply nothing for my lashes.
6.: MAC Zoomlash: here is a question Cristine: why is my Zoomlash so smudgy? everytime i watch a movie and i laugh, and i have tears in my eyes: it is all over my face.
i never tried any waterproof mascaras, all i used were waterproof enough for me.
i am sad for my Zoomlash, because in other ways it is good.

Lancome Definicils is great

An MA told me a few months ago that you should throw away mascara every 2-4 weeks, which i found to be a bit ridiculous. Ive always thought about 3 months was fine. I was just wondering if you have ever heard of or follow this rule?

fanntabulous Avatar

Call me weird, but I like to mix my applications sometimes or switch every other day or so, so I have to name more than one 🙂 The following are amazing alone, and fun together.

Lancome (used to be Defincils, but I love Hypnose better — Tried this once and I was hooked. The only one that worked for me…I’d scrap samples off of my friends at the Lancome counter in high school (LOL). My typical asian, sparse short lashes need all the help it can get and this one’s super. Love the volumizing effect. Lancome’s mascara brushes are uber amazing, esp for the lower lashes! My philosophy, splurge on mascara…no matter how costly, getting one with the best brush+formula+results is well worth the penny.

Katie B. Cosmetics Faux Lash Mascara (waterproof), by Playboy & Celebrity makeup artist Katie B. Discovered this a few years ago on myspace of all places 🙂 For only $13.50/tube, you get a lot of bang for your buck! My wallet could finally take a breather from Lancome mascaras! lol Amazing results with its unique brush and amazing formula. No clumping no matter how many coats I apply! separates, lengthens, thickens and waterproof –for any mascara (at least for me) waterproof is a must. I am notorious for watery eyes! If I’m somehow without my Shu Uemura eyelash curler, I can apply this mascara and get away with lovely lashes.
