Temptalia Asks You - What is your go-to cream to prevent/aid winter skin?

What is your go-to cream to prevent/aid winter skin? How do you keep your skin super soft even during the drying months?

I’ve actually been trying out all sorts of different ones. I found Osmotics Cream Extreme to be EXCELLENT for super, super dry, flaking skin (like disgustingly flakey!). It’s a bit too expensive for me to use 24/7, though, throughout the winter.

I don’t really have a cream…for my body during the winter I’ll use a sugar scrub from Bath and Body Works once a week. After every shower I use body oil(the Equate brand) and Olay lotion(extra dry).

WOW – I just checked the price for Osmotics & my jaw dropped, lol. I really need something for around my nose & mouth during the winter months. I’m still on the quest to find the perfect cream. Arbonne Nutrimin Night Cream works decent enough, but I feel like I need a little something MORE because I have dry skin year around, so the winter months only make it worse.

I just started using Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion & its doing a pretty good job at battling against everyday dry skin.

LOL! yes, it’s pricey, but it SO works. My mouth area was flaking so bad that it looked like I had gotten ridiculously sunburned and the skin was peeling off 🙁 EW. I was quite happy to be able to go around looking normal again, even at $75, lol.

For face I just follow my usual routine:
-cleanse with Gentle gel cleanser by Avène
-apply Hydrance Optimale with SPF 15 by Avène

The Avène cream is particularly good for winter: It’s really resistant and protects your skin from biting wind and cold.

For the body I recently got a 400ml bottle of La Roche-Posay Iso-Urea, which has a wonderful consistency and is immediately absorbed.

PS-I’m in Europe, so I’m not sure if you have these brands in the US.

What I use is pretty simple, my girlfriend who is a liscensed manicurist got me started using lotion & vaseline mixed together. I just pick out my favorite lotion, & mix it with a little vaseline in my hands & it works awesome!!
