We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I adore this time of year 🙂 My birthday, Christmas and New Years all within a few weeks of each other. So gifts, more gifts and then a opportunity for new beginnings…a fresh start.

Having been born in Denmark, I love that we try and do as many danish family traditions as possible at this time of year. My son and now my SO have been trained in the ways of the danish Christmas.

The only hard thing this year for me is since becomming a vegan I can’t participate in some of the danish food choices which kinda sucks. But we will still celebrate on the 24th with lots o’ food, gifts (its tradition to open the gifts on the 24th) and then we are going to watch a christmas movie (LOL no thats not really traditional danish) and just spend a nice time with family. Its also traditional to sing and dance around the tree but since my mom and I are the only danish speakers its uhmmm not really the same so now we just skip it. So really the 25th is always kinda boring because all the Christmas stuff is done and there isn’t much to do. So this year I am making a big breakfast and we are going to have a movie marathon.

Me too! I’m a huge fan of Christmas – I like it all… the music, the lights, the food… of course, gifts, too.

What a great way to celebrate your heritage during the holidays! I wish we could open gifts on the 24th, lol! We are allowed to open one, the rest on Christmas morning. I wouldn’t mind that, if you know, everybody got up as early as I naturally do. The older I get, the later my parents sleep!

What are you making in your big breakfast? My boyfriend’s mom does that!

I’m not a huge fan of Christmas… mostly because it is so hard to go anywhere without being surrounded by crazy drivers/people! But of course, I like presents and spending time with my family and boyfriend 🙂

For me it means being with my family, I have lived far away from them for the last 6 years, so I love going home at Christmas. I don’t understand how people don’t love Christmas, I know its busy and commercial, but I try to look past all that and it just makes me happy.
