Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Primarily I use the 213, 239 and 219. All MAC. The 219 is my most favourite brush! It’s perfect for applying crease colours and for smudging and softening liner.. I have 2 😀

The 217 is my favourite blending brush. I like how it’s more dense than the other blending brushes, not too big and not too long. It’s also brilliant for blending out concealer under the eyes.

MAC 129, 224, 227, 219- and I like smashbox brushes- Only because I got a good deal from QVC! What does everyone use to clean there brushes…? I use the MAC brush cleaner w/ a little bit of water.

Some essence of beauty brushes (CVS brand, great quality, very soft), a Tarte double-ended brush, a Sonia Kashuk eyeliner brush.

I’m holding out for some nice sets before I buy any from mac.

MAC 242 is my favorite brush ever 😀 I also frequently use Benefit’s smudger brush (now DC-ed), and a lot of Mark (by Avon) brushes, they’re really nice and the liner brush is a HG. When I remember (because I forget I have so many brushes sometimes, haha) I like to use my double-ended Tarte brushes. Oh! And this brand from K-mart (of all places) has really nice brushes (I don’t remember the name, but they come in pink envelope packaging) too!

I have some brushes from the body shop (flat, filbert shaped), as well as Loew Cornell brushes (mainly mini mop for blending) and Essence of Beauty crease brushes.

I have yet to invest in super good brushes (gasp I know!) because I’d rather spend money on the make-up right now. My generic brushes have been doing just fine though, haha. I actually really like the brush that comes with the LOreal HIP pigments.
