Temptalia Asks You - How are your beauty [and other New Year] resolutions going?

How are your beauty [and other New Year] resolutions going? Are you making progress or have you tossed the resolution in the wind?

I’ve been okay on some of mine, but not great on the Starbucks resolution, that’s for sure! LOL. I swear they put cocaine in their drinks, so addicting!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I’ve been doing somewhat better. Stopped nibbling on my nails as much (still do it sometimes, but it’s not anywhere as bad as it used to be). Doing better on spending money too. Don’t spend it unless I have a gift card or something. Stopping caffeine – not. Stopping alcohol – not yet. Waiting until about a month or so before we start trying to get pregnant. All in all I think I’m making progress 🙂

I feel as though I am doing quite well with my new years goals 🙂 I look over my list a couple times a week to remind myself of my goals (there are three pages of very specific goals) and to see which I am not focusing on enough. Removing caffine from my life has actually been one of the easier goals. White rice/white sugar/alcohol has been the hardest 🙁 Eating out is the downfall of those three. At home I find it easy to eat well but going out can prove a problem. I am adding exercise into my life more and more and it feel really good…this is one of my top goals to maintain. Overall it feels good to try and focus on making positive changes in my life and trying to be the best me that I can be. The changes will slip at times but the effort of trying to be a better me feels good.

I think I am doing well in my mission to eat healthier. My whole life I have had issues with digesting meat and doctors always told me to stay away from meats. So even though I always kept my meat intake low and am what many consider a semi-vegan I have decided to stick to just fish with no red meats or chicken. Pretty much a pescatarian. Will have to see how that goes.I was hospitilized for little over a month when I was 14 because I cant digest/dissolve meat properly.

Every week I tell myself that I will not buy cosmetics during the next weekend but its totally not working because once weekend comes and I’m geared with my cards at the shopping mall, I splurge like crazy! Last month, I have spent more than $800 on cosmetics just for myself excluding gifts (And I am supposed to be just a college student!)! January has yet to end and I have once again overspent on cosmetics for $600+++. I hope this weekend will prove to be a weekend of more self-control, self-restraint, determination and resolution. So of course for my new year resolution, I want to be able to curb my spendings! Spend within budgets! Reasonable budgets! =D

Wow. Cosine that is crazy!! 800 on make up. I dont spend more than 300 and that is if its a major make up collection that I just gotta have. I think you need to drag a friend with you or something to tell you when to stop and refrain from the internet shopping if you shop on line. By the way do you have a pic of your make up collection?? LOL! I know the spending is bad but I bet you have tons. Seriously though, you should give yourself a limit each month on make up like 200 dollars and buy only if its a must have. Maybe put 200 on a gift card and only use that and once it is gone you know you gotta stop. Good luck!!

I am doing well with two of my New Year’s resolutions:
1) not to use cheap cosmetics
2) keep the partying down to once a week.

The resolutions I should have known better to make:
1) Cut down shopping for MAC; yea, like that’s ever gonna happen!

2) trying to do my makeup every morning; still working on that. I am unable to get up early enough
