No QVC here, unfortunately, so I won’t be able to get the items that interest me the most. Still love the look of some of these.
It’s nice to see some jewel tones!
While I loved the ultra-black depth of the black eyeliner, I was very disappointed in that the eyeliner, probably due to the clay, dries out in like a month or so. Unless this is an improved formula that has longevity, I’d never repurchase. Shame as the purple is a really nice color, too. You can read the reviews on qvc.com.
I had the same experience with these – great color, but dries out ridiculously fast.
Did you have issues with the pencil or the pot?
I had the same thing experience, I had the black and a bronze color. Even with proper storage they dry out so fast. Not worth the price they want.
Just add some water to your brush on the pot and mix when it gets that dried out thing going on – that’s the only thing that is missing. The jar air space lets in enough air to have the water in the product evaporate out. It’s just fine and lasts as long, goes on well by adding the water back in.
Add water with your brush as you go to apply and mix a little paste. It fixes the dry issue totally. The brush that comes with this pot is amazing!
The eyeliner duo & eyeliner pots are my favorite!!!
I have been seriously let down with everything I’ve gotten from tarte 🙁
I used to not be a TARTE fan at all until the Amazonian Clay line came out. Their products did not have stay power for me. The only thing I liked big time prior to this A clay change was the Lights Camera Action mascara because it did not dry out my lashes that are really fragile and break and fall out with almost everything I use on them to the point I was not using any mascara until Light’s Camera Lashes.
The Waterproof Shadow Pots look lovely, but the whole QVC exclusive thing is frustrating since I don’t live in the US 🙁
They soon will have more wide distribution. Right now as they discovered the Amazonian Clay and went with it for the line, limited them to 2 X/yr access to the clay due to the rains in the Amazon. By next year owner of TARTE says they expect to have enough clay to have wider distribution and not run low.
The Bronze Clay Finishing powder is everything! I love it… Tarte makes some really great products and has become one of my favorite brands
I JUST got this bronze clay finishing powder – it had been sold out but it back in stock now and my back order came. It’s RARE big time that I find a bronzer of any kind I can wear because I am fair…but this one works on me.
I want the Slate eyeshadow pot so bad but QVC doesn’t ship cosmetics to Canada!
Josie, I purchase QVC cosmetics all the time and I live in Canada.
Will you be swatching any of the cream shadows?
Not going to look at this as you can’t get Tarte in Australia (except for one tiny store in Sydney) and they won’t deliver internationally. I don’t want to be tempted, I would love one of the Amazonian clay blushes.
See if you can order from the store in Sydney. The new Amazonian clay blushes are AMAZING – both the new cheek gel and the powdered blushes – they last and last on your face.
I had some of the drying out in the pots when I first tried them, but no issue at all…just add some water and you are fine. That’s all that has come out is the water in the jar air space. I am IN LOVE with the new pencils however…they last and last. I have a huge issue trying to keep my liner on as my eyes tear. I got golden plum first in a kit. Did not think it would be good shade for me – but really like it – does not give me crying eye look like a lot of plums do that have red in them. I have the black pencil on order now and wait listed for the navy. Reason why they are limited distribution is access to the clay is only 2X a year and has to be hand collected. After next year, Tarte owner says they should have a better on going stock supply of the Amazonian clay to make the distribution wider. I am a HUGE fan of the old TARTE cheek jell with the Amazonian clay in it now – it lasts where the old stuff did not. The new powder blush with the A clay also lasts for all day and great colors. Tinted or lighter foundation coverage with spf (Sephora right now) is great, need more coverage, in LOVE with the full coverage AG foundation with spf. Really a fan of TARTE new Maracuja Oil. It’s way better than the Aragon Oil. Works on all skin types and you wake up with the BEST looking face. Can you tell how excited I am about some of these new TARTE Amazonian Clay products from TARTE? No QVC where you live – go on line to QVC.com – it’s all there.
do you work for Tarte?
That was a great questions. Sounds like she does….doesnt she?
Nope. I don’t work for TARTE – just a fan of this new Amazonian Clay line. Before this launch, I was aware of the line, tried some things – really wanted to like the cheek gels everyone went nuts over in the mid 2000’s, but got no stay power out of them UNTIL they added the A Clay to them (only 3 shades out thus far in the gel with the clay and original ones still available). I catch a lot of Maureen Kelly (Tarte owner) on QVC air time programming. I have been looking at the line at Sephora.com, TARTE.com to compare to products TARTE has (and prices) at QVC.
Was the golden plum pencil you previously bought a waterproof amazonian clay pencil or an emphasEYES aqua-gel liner? The reason I ask is I could swear Maureen said that the AC pencils were a world launch on QVC last week…
FYI – Golden Plum pencil was a Ltd Ed. in a TSV collection. It’s not planned to be repeated at this time. There is a plum out now that is a great gray/taupe/lavender. Really nice shade.
Oh, and forgot to mention – Golden & Plum are not a duo…that was the name of one single shade in the Tarte QVC TSV collection. The name for the ONE shade of pencil was called Golden Plum.
Wow! For those who are saying just add water…for the price of this product I think not. While I would love to try them there is no way I would knowing I’ll have to “just add water” to get the product back to its original condition. Seems odd the company hasn’t addressed this issue and corrected. I’ll gladly wait to buy them until they do. Just add water won’t get my money.
I wonder how these will wear, and if any are vegan. I love Smooth Operator, and am anxious to try others from this line
