Tarte Green Siren Natural Cheek Stain Review, Photos, Swatches

Tarte Natural Cheek Stain in Green Siren

Naturally Beautiful Cheeks: Green Siren by Tarte

Tarte Green Siren Natural Cheek Stain ($30.00) is a semi-sheer peachy-bronze with golden shimmer and a slight frosty sheen. Tarte really knows how to do an effortless cheek, because their cheek stains are always above the bar. Their latest shade, Green Siren, in the Natural Beauty Cheek Stain product line, for fall, is gorgeous. It is particularly flattering on those with neutral or warm tones, though it the shade isn’t overly warm, so it is still pretty and suitable for cooler skin tones.

When applied, cheeks look naturally glowy and look luminous without being too frosty or glittery. The product feels smooth and creamy and applies easily to cheeks without leaving behind any harsh lines. It can be easily blended out with a stippling brush like the 188. My only issue with the product was the packaging/applicator, because when you push the gel blush up, and then apply it directly from the tube, the blush gets pushed back into the tube. It was a bit annoying, and I think it’s something that could be fixed.

  • Product: 8/10
  • Value: 8/10
  • Ease of Use: 7/10
  • Packaging: 7/10

Recommendation: This is a great shade to transition from summer to fall as we start to countdown the days of summer. It’s natural and beautiful, and it is hard to over-do.

So I just ordered this, and another Berry colored one. The difference between the two is HUGE! The berry colored one is soft and easy to blend. My Green Siren is hard, and its difficult to get any onto my cheeks without pressing it really hard. Is yours like this too, or did I just get a bum one?

I am a fan of Tarte Cheek Stains – Flushed is still my favorite. I am a warmer tone so I should check this out and make use out of my Sephora 10% off coupon =)

i’ve had these before but found them to be a bit too sticky for my taste. i much prefer the smashbox or shiseido products! plus i find the tarte packaging to be a bit clumsy and not too sleek.

i think the ones out now are the reformulated versions. in the “first generation” of these they did not dry on the skin – they kind of just… lingered… and stayed sticky (little pieces of fuzz would stick to my cheek…)

=)

Have all of the colors been reformulated? I also found tarte cheek stains to be too sticky in the past. Or are only the “natural” offerings non-sticky?

When you say you apply it directly from the tube, do you mean you press the product right to your face? I always wash my hands and then run my fingers across the top, and then lightly press my fingers onto my skin so that the product blends in as I apply. I’d think applying it directly from the packaging to your face would be a bit more difficult.

Are the natural formulas any different from the regular line? I love these and will probably have to replace mine soon.

for the days when I can’t be bothered to be creative or have much time, this is my go to cheek!! So easy, so perfect for my skin tones:)
