I actually tried my first Tarte blush in the Sephora birthday kit and I love it! But do I love it enough to buy a big blush book? Oh no. No no no. I would rather swatch shades and pick one I really like than have a whole lot of blushes I wouldn’t know what to do with.

While this is a cute palette, I can’t see the need for that many blushes. I have three right now and I only use one of them. I just can’t imagine that one person’s skin tone could look good in all those different shades…I’m looking forward to the review and photos!!!

I’m with you, Nancy! I am an NC-40, Hawaiian decent, and I am really pleased that Tarte has released a palette of blushes that would look great on our skin tone. It doesn’t help that I’m constantly exposed to the Arizona sun! I really like this and will probably snag it! Tarte doesn’t typically put out “bad” blushes. I predict that Christine will more than likely give these blushes a great review. I’m rolling the dice!

Like quite a few others, this is just waaay too much blush for me, all in one place. And as is almost always the case with palettes like this, too many shades I can’t wear are in it. I envy those who can wear pinks AND corals AND nudes but on me, corals/peach shades and nudes are just odd and clash-y.

Uhhhh! Beautiful set I think each color would look crispy fresh on my skin but already have too many. Do love the colors! I’ll write on list for Santa. 😉

You know, I was so excited when I heard that a 3rd edition of the blush book was going to be coming out, but seeing the colors, it’s no longer tempting me. For blushes I loves my plums and mauves, browns and dusty pinks. Coral and peach are my least favorite blush colors!

I was really looking forward to this since this is the first holiday season that I’ve been into higher end makeup and have heard rave reviews about the first two. But the colors don’t seem to be tones that would look flattering on my fair skin tone. Some of them do, but probably only half. What DOES look promising is the new In The Balm Of Your Hands Vol 2 palette from theBalm and that’s half the price but has blush and eyeshadow and a highlighter all in colors that I would use.

Did you see Emily Noel’s video about The Balm of Your Hand Vol. 2 today? She was over the moon for it. Even though I have some of the items in that palette it is such a good price I am thinking of getting it anyway! ?

Beautiful palette.. but made in China.. and NOT the original Amazonian clay formula. This is what I heard but will be interested to know how true this is.

Dominique Avatar

I bought one this morning!I have the other 2 so I wanted it for my collection and it’s a great deal.I get a lot of use out the other 2 and these wil last forever so I think it’s well worth it.

Jarediah Avatar

Do you find the 2nd one to be the same formula as the first BBB and the Singles? I heard it’s not and that the 2nd one wasn’t good because it was made in China. The 3rd one is also made in China so I’m going back and forth right now because it’s not sold out yet…?

Dominique Avatar

Jarediah I enjoy both palettes I don’t feel a noticeable difference in texture or how it looks blended out on my cheeks between palettes 1 and 2.I threw out the outermost packaging of both of them and that is what has the ingredients list.I did search YouTube and the person that was making video I watched about Big Blush Book 2 said that other Tarte blush limited edition palettes like holiday ones or other smaller ones had been made in China as well so I think the formula is the same but 2 and 3 were made in China.I received mine in the mail today I haven’t swatched it because I still need to photograph it for my Instagram @nika2799 is my page I do a lot of makeup pictures. But I noticed that all of the blushes except Poised and Mindful have a slight shimmer when the light hits the pan so the Spirited pan is a highlighter and it looks like most of these have a sheen to them which I like but they didn’t mention that in the description of these blushes.I’ll post more on here after I swatch and compare.

Is it me or at first glance do the majority of these shades look like varying degrees of the same color? Maybe it’s the magenta-ish background? I look forward to seeing the swatches because I really can’t decipher the shades by looking at the palette. I’m set in the blush department for the next several years!

kalliela Avatar

If this was four shades instead of eight….I may be little more interested and if it came in a smaller and easier to use square compact with square pans.

Anastasia Avatar

Now this looks intriguing… The colors look like they would show up on my med dark skin tone. I dont own any Tarte blushes so I’m tempted. I remember last year some ppl didn’t like the formula of this palette because it was made in China.

Naesynae Avatar

This is my dilemma, too! Have been um-ming over this one for a bit, trying to find swatches. The longer i delay, the less likely i am to buy, so looks like i will most likely be letting this one pass.

Krista Avatar

I got this and it’s really sad that in my experience none of the blushes are as bright and colorful as they show them in the pictures. There is a pink one and varying (yet quite similar) shades of brown/nude and coral. The top two (heated and lavish) are so similar that you could wear one on your left cheek and one on your right cheek and unless you have a clown faced heavy hand, I doubt anyone would notice. So disappointed in this for $60. It is worth maybe half of that, not because of the quality but because there’s literally nothing special about these blushes. It’s a boring compilation; if they really were as bright and colorful as advertised I’d say it would be worth the money. I missed out on the first two books, but this one is a bust for me, even with my pale complexion.

JENNIFER Avatar

I took the plunge and I bought the blush book. I was waiting for swatches but never happened wish now I would’ve waited, not impressed at all I have a light medium complexion and these are too light, powdery and every color is similar to each.☹
