Has your relationship to skincare changed in the last year?

Early last year, I started taking a new medication, and I didn’t realize it for months later, but it actually caused deep, cystic acne and lots of it in places I had never had it. I originally thought it was just from stress (I had a lot going on, plus the pandemic!), but two weeks off the...

Has your relationship with makeup changed in the last year?

Has your relationship with makeup changed in the last year?

I don’t think it has changed much, since I am fortunate enough to work from home normally, so the pandemic didn’t shift how I approached my day-to-day life or how much (or little) makeup I’d wear.

Has a pet ever destroyed a beauty item?

I don’t recall Mellan doing so, and he, in general, was not a destroyer of things (even as a wee pup!) unless it was wood in nature, then he did destroy a couple of things over his lifetime. We have a gate blocking off access to the makeup room for Winston, so thus far, he hasn’t gotten into...

What has made you more confident about using makeup?

What has made you more confident about using makeup?

Do you layer lipsticks?

Do you layer lipsticks?

I definitely have and do, though I’m more likely to use a lipstick and then a gloss on top to alter color, but if I have something in mind… I will layer to get my vision!

How important is wear time in a foundation for you?

How important is wear time in a foundation for you?

Important for sure! I’d say that how it wears away/down is second most important; I want something that is long-wearing enough on its own to get eight solid hours of wear with it, but then it shouldn’t just… slide off inelegantly!
