I think OCC still puts out more interesting and complex lip colors. Fyrinnae does the same when it comes to eyeshadows.

I don’t mind fingertips on my face, cheeks, and so forth, but I’m not keen on using them for anything on the eyelids as I find my fingertips to just be too large/lacking precision. I like applying tinted moisturizer or liquid highlighter (when used all over) with my hands/fingertips.
I usually try to give them a firm, “I’m just looking, and if I need anything, I’ll be sure to let you know!” but try to be polite/nice about it – just try to say it confidently, though. If they get pushy to the point where I’m uncomfortable, I’ll leave.
Brushes, no doubt about that! My weakness is definitely for brushes, even though I have plenty.
Definitely have! I have done makeup for a few friends but mostly family members for various special occasions over the years.
It’s hard for me to get into any particular phase, e.g. preferring neutral makeup or loving bold lips, since most of the makeup I wear is testing new products for wear.
The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed shades (the classic ones, like Opal, Moonstone, etc.) since I retested the minis and was reminded of how pretty they can be.
Anything that’s truly terrible and doesn’t have any foreseeable use (like comparisons) is an absolute get-it-out-of-my-sight kind of thing for me. If it’s ho-hum but from a brand that isn’t popular enough to need in-person comparisons in the future, I don’t keep those product ranges.
Kat Von D’s Saint + Sinner palette! I liked how all of the looks I tried with it came out, and the quality was better overall than I expected (given some of the brighter shades in it).
Becca’s Apres Ski eyeshadow palette… it was more of a let-down than the Tarte Buried Treasure, since Tarte has been hit or miss for awhile.
