I love shimmer and shine, so highlighter is something I love applying and wearing–it would be in the “daily staple” category for me 🙂
I don’t mind subtle contour myself, but it’s not something I end up doing very often. If I’m going for a really dramatic look, especially if things are cooler-toned, I sometimes find that I need more shadow on my face to pull it all off.
I think I like the effect of a halo eye the most (a lighter, more shimmery shade on the center of lid, flanked by more contrasting shades).
