Has makeup brought you more or less joy this year?

Has makeup brought you more or less joy this year?

The same as I’m very fortunate that day-to-day life has remained the same in many ways, since I already worked from home and am, by choice, more of a homebody.

Has your approach to beauty/makeup changed this year?

Has your approach to beauty/makeup changed this year?

Overall, not so much! I feel like with the slow down in releases (more in the middle of the year), I was able to explore some new, more indie brands that I might not have had time for.

What inspired your last makeup look?

I knew I wanted to use Pat McGrath’s newer Celestial Divinity palette with Bronze Seduction, so between the two of them, they inspired me to go a certain direction!

When was the last time you went through your stash (to organize or to declutter)? How did it go?

When was the last time you went through your stash (to organize or to declutter)? How did it go?

Two months ago, I made my mother-in-law and brother-in-law, along with my husband, help me sort through six or so plastic bins full of makeup! It went well, since I only kept a bin’s worth and the rest was set aside to donate/give to family/friends or recycle (due to the pandemic, all...

Has your skincare routine changed for winter?

Has your skincare routine changed for winter?

Nope! I’m still working on finding the right mix of hydrators to deal with some newer flakiness I’ve experienced, but it’s been something new and exciting to deal with over the last few months, so it’s unrelated to the season changing!

What are three products you hang onto "just in case" but should really part with?

I have a ton of really old MAC products (I’ve kept almost everything they’ve released since I started buying it), but it’s so much rarer now that a product returns with a lot of fanfare, so I don’t think physically having anything that old is necessary any more.

How do you store your cheek products?

How do you store your cheek products?

For actual compacts, I have them stored in small, plastic organizers within larger dresser drawers. I organize by brand and then formula (so similar shaped compacts go together). I do have about two dozen cheek products that I really love in my vanity.

How do you store your complexion products?

How do you store your complexion products?

I have a storage unit to the left of my vanity, and I keep a lot of formulas I like in open boxes (reusing Chanel online order boxes) and then far too many ON my vanity top and some favorite formulas in one of the vanity drawers.
