I love the dimensional in color/texture/undertone you can achieve in a lacquer (compared to most powder products), but I’m so lazy about applying + removing, especially when it comes to glitter polish removal!

Pretty much all raves for me since it’s my go-to formula for eyeliner! I love the variety of colors, that it doesn’t dry out very quickly, and how it’s comfortable and more foolproof to apply.

I love a good orange blush! I love how brightening orange can be, especially lighter, yellower oranges (but not too yellow). I also like rusty undertones, so orange-coral kind of blushes are lovely. The only downside is that sometimes they can be easy to go heavy-handed with!

I rarely find myself reaching for true orange lipsticks; I’m more likely to go for a copper hue or a coral, so something lighter and not as neon/intense as a true orange. Though I’ve had readers compliment me when wearing orange lipsticks, I just never gravitate toward them… it might have more to do with how bold/bright/intense my eye makeup is 90% of the time, though.

Something I’ve been appreciating from the brand lately is they actually have quiet, smaller seasonal releases, though perhaps the fact that very few are talking about them suggests that’s not the most successful way to go about releasing products! I think the brand has improved their offerings from when it first debuted, so it’s nice to see that.

The real rant is the price point — just really, really expensive. The recent price increase on the lipsticks has really pushed the brand into an even higher tier. I love the smaller, six-pan palettes, which I feel are a better value/proposition, than the larger $125 palettes. The brand has some exceptional formulas, and I love the color stories in most of their palettes.

I don’t find myself all that drawn to Charlotte Tilbury products off the bat; like I don’t hear about a new release and get particularly excited, but some of my very favorite products are by Charlotte Tilbury (Hollywood Flawless Filter, Filmstar Bronze & Glow, Hollywood Light Wands). The brand has a tendency to release everything in the same wheelhouse, though, and I think they could do a substantially better job releasing color cosmetics that would work on more skin tones.

They have some really solid formulas in their core range, but sometimes, they play it so safe that their actual product releases look and feel redundant, even when I look at them as “someone new is always coming into makeup.” I’d like to see them take a little more risk, depart a little more from their usual zone, in small ways.

I really love that the brand came out with the smaller, 15-pan palette size–I think that is so much more appealing compared to the full-sized 15-pan palettes. I would love to see an extension of the singles range, though, as a lot of the shades released in the various palettes (both limited edition and permanent) are exclusive to those palettes, even though you can pop them out of them.

I wish they’d expand their permanent eyeshadow range (I think they keep discontinuing shades), especially by bringing back some favorite LE shades from past palette releases. I like that the brand tries to listen to what their customers want, and I think it’s cool how much behind-the-scenes information Norvina shares via social.
