ED blushes have proven great. I love it when a collection channels darker colors/moods in summer. Think of that as a Nars thing. Like this selection.

I’M GOING TO GET EVERYTHING. (I am constantly making a liar of myself in saying “I’m going to pass on this” and then I end up collecting most of a launch. Hoping the opposite would work here because I don’t need any of it but the packaging has me interested).

I’m so confused, the only thing on this that looks like it’s not very good quality is Sun Speck eyeshadow. Everything else looks smooth and pigmented. The only bad thing about this collection is that everything is brown, brown makeup is just not cute. Guess everybody is trained to bash MAC now. Just like the Nicopanda collection that people said was bad quality, then when I bought the eyeshadows, they were super pigmented and beautiful.

@sparkle0901 I completely agree with you! I got one of the Nicopanda palettes and loved it! I always try other brands but even with all the backlash MAC always seems to work better for me.

Well, the swatch generation, I call them. Quite irrational too, because if every collection is bad, then wouldn’t MAC have already gone under?!

But I count on the silver lining – less competition means we can leisurely peruse before buying rather than snap blindly for fear of running out.

I am happy to hear a good feedback on the Nicopanda collection. Hoping some will go on sale for me to snap. At the current exchange rate, the palette is so very steep in local currency terms.

Well, money saved ! The only 2 things I am interested in shown here, are the Extra Dimension Bronzers. What isn’t here are the face and body tints. They might be ok.
I know they had these shades before and were not graded well. Maybe they will Fair better this time. I have Baina from last year, so, all set. Knowing MAC,I bet it will be different than last year .

I’m ambivalent towards this collection. I have Golden Rinse and recently bought Dior Addict Laqueur in Glitterati, which I could layer a gloss or lipstick on top and still have a glittery sheen without the patchiness of the swatches. I was hoping Mother if Pearl would be a more interesting shade.

At first sight I was not into the collection but now I am really into Beach Nut! Purple enough, weird enough, yet still wearable. Might be getting it (or a dupe if there is a cheaper one available where I live)

I wish MAC would do a repromote of sun dipped! I got excited when I saw these pictures because I thought one of those bronzers could have been that. Too bad, these swatches look a bit too patchy for me.

Maybe my head’s not on straight, but I’m so here for this collection. I’m usually around an N42-NC44 in the summer, and everything about these colors seems nice for when I’m tanner than I am now.

I’m in a minority here, actually liking most of what I see. There are one or two items I don’t like and a some that would look weird on me, but most of these product are ones I really like.
I will get some of the lipsticks, probably Golden Rinse, Mother o’ Pearl, some glosses and maybe an eyeshadow or two, depending on what Christine says.

Funny thing, I also loved that collection. Actually, I didn’t care for the last summer collection (fruity juicy) but this one I liked a lot. The extra dimension bronzers, mother o’pearl powder and the bronzing foundations are wonderful. And even though purple is an odd color for the summer, I think they did a good job. The lip products and eyeshadows seem very suited for a summer clubbing night.

I am considering purchasing one of the extra dimension bronzers, but wondered what brushes you would recommend using with them? And the blushes?
With the highlighters I have had a challenge finding the right brush. 🙂

I’m going for the eyeshadows Sun,Spec & Repeat & the Slow as you Glow & maybe one of the lipglasses (the coral one). I like Golden Rinse too. So happy MAC is at Ulta now! I called and reserved mine for this Thursday’s release.
