Dior Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation

We’ve also just added swatches to the Foundation Matrix of the current shade range of Dior’s Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation ($62.00 for 2.3 fl. oz.), which is a spray-on liquid foundation that’s supposed to be lightweight, “super-smooth,” and long-wearing.

How do these smell?

Ive used dior liquid foundation before and it worked really well with my skin… but the FRAGRANCE was so terrifyingly strong. Blegh!

I just got it Erin! It is quite pinky peach and a bit darker than I’d hoped. I’m still playing with it and I can make it work but I am sad. I was hoping it would be lighter and more neutral!

My holy grail foundation. I’m super pale but use a mix of 200/201. I only use it for going out as it’s $$$ especially to mix 2. But that being said it lasts so long I haven’t used up 2 in a year. Makes my skin look perfect. Stays on. Easy to use! My love.

I wouldnt say you’re super pale at shade level 200 lol. You’re more of a light-medium 🙂 but i’ve heard great things about this foundation!

After lemming over these for years, I finally bought this in the shade 100 about 2-3 weeks ago and LOVE it! Sally Hansen used to make an aerosol foundation that I loved years ago, so I had a feeling I would love this as well. It’s so easy to use and requires literally 2 dabs with a sponge around my nose to finish it off. The only issue I’m running into is how to prevent the super pale foundation from from getting into my dark brown hair…

I love this foundation. I am in the color 100-Ivory. It perfects my skin and lasts for 8-10 hours on me which is all I need. It sets down and does not cling to my dry patches. It does not cover my hyperpigmentation but then no foundation that I have tried so far has covered my sun spots. Many people complain about the delivery system and the sprayed product getting into their hair, onto their clothes and just every where. I know that some recommend spraying directly onto the brush but I prefer spraying onto my face. I hold the can about one inch from my face so that it doesn’t disperse all over and I spray one tiny spray on each cheek and one on the forehead and chin and then I blend either with a brush or with one of the sponges from a cushion foundation. It is quick and easy. It is pricey so I don’t use it everyday but rather for special events when I want to look like I have flawless skin. I had heard that they were considering discontinuing so I am happy to see that that was just a rumor.

Oops, I forgot to mention, Sephora makes a dupe and I have and use that one also. It is called the Perfection Mist Foundation and costs $28. The lightest shade runs just a hair warm for me but I can make it work. I apply it the same way and it works really well also. I have never compared them side to side but suspect that I like the Dior one because it better matches my undertones.

201 looks like my shade! But I won’t ever buy this foundation.

I have very dark, almost black hair. So it would be very noticeable if I missed my face (which I will do!)

And I don’t like the amount for the price. Plus I just don’t like these types of foundations. I’m a liquid/mousse or powder kind of gal!

(I also have asthma and they send me into coughing fits!)

I have dry skin and i sit between 205 and 300. I have this foundation in my stash and it is absulately a gem.. Pros. beautiful soft satin finish, feels light on the face and moderate coverage, long wearing. Cons, it darkens a bit after about 6 hours and the price point

Thank for for showing foundations some love! Foundations have always been the hardest thing for me to buy as I tend to shop online. I think the Internet really needs more comprehensive foundation swatches! Although these are out of my price range, I’m happy for the people who benefit from this. Thanks!

Christine, any chance of a pic of the ingredients on the box? I assume it contains alcohol much like the rest of dior’s range? (im allergic 🙁 ) thanks!

Odd, mid-toned shade range. Nothing there for pale to light girls, and nothing for anyone any darker than medium (other than one medium-dark). Linen is the right color, but too dark for me. And what an odd choice to name #100 “ivory” — Ivory should always be a yellow-based tone (like actual ivory, in real life), but this one is unapologetically pink.

The Ocher Beige is a newer color to this range and I’ve been wanting to see it swatched before I purchased it.Thank you for swatching this Christine I really don’t like to just place an order for foundation online with out seeing the actual color of the product and they don’t have this color in Sephora stores yet just online.
