*Favorite product you tried during the summer? NARS concealer in Vanilla — perfect color; works really well
*Least favorite product you tried during the summer? Tarte Amazonian clay foundation. I believe it’s the culprit of a bad breakout I experienced.
*Favorite release during the summer? Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour — I just got Red Bowtie, and really like the sheer yet strong color. For me the scent is barely there and not unpleasant.
Vanilla is such a perfect colour match for me too but I cannot get that concealer to look anything but dry and scaly..eye cream/no eye cream; undereye primer/no under eye primer. I wish it wore better because the colour match is one of the best.
Interesting. I’ve never used it for undereye but rather to cover blemishes. For For undereye I use a YSL éclat touch I think it’s called.
I don’t have blemishes, thank goodness, and bought it solely for undereye use (and the redness around my nose). I used Touche Eclat years ago (I remember feeling more than a little excited when I bought my first tube and I think then it only came in 2 or 3 shades) but I’ve found so many concealers in recent years that are better at covering my under eye circles. I had such hopes for the Nars…I’d tried Custard and it was horrible (I looked like I had jaundice) and then Vanilla. The colour is so perfect but the texture, for me, is the deal breaker.

Favorite product you tried during the summer? MUFE Artist Rouge Crème lipstick in C211 – Rose Wood (this is so comfortable and I love the color)
Least favorite product you tried during the summer? Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème in Loved (this dries out my lips so much, and flakes everywhere!)
Favorite release during the summer? Hm. I guess Anastasia’s expansion of their Glow Kits, even though I haven’t bit the bullet and bought one yet.
I have a light medium skin tone, and my favorite product I tried this summer had to be my modern renaissance palette. Least favorite was probably my nars multistick. My favorite release of the summer definitely had to be the anastasia modern renaissance palette.

Favorite product: Right now I am starting to fall in love with the limited edition Nars dual intensity blush palette. I love the Anastasia summer glow kits in Moonchild and Sun Dipped.
Least favorite product: I returned Mac’s On and On lipstick. Horrible on me!
Favorite release: I will have to think about it. Time for me to go back to work!

Favorite product you tried during the summer? I know it’s getting boring but it’s got to be Chanel Empreinte du Desert quad
Least favorite product you tried during the summer? MAC Early Morning Mineralized blush…it’s from years ago and I figure summer is probably the best time for me to be using it (it’s warm, peachy) but I still don’t like it – it’s one of those things I force myself to use (and I don’t often do this)
Favorite release during the summer? Again, Empreinte du Desert (what can I say?)
Lots of people LOVE that quad! And, the Fall one is a winner, too. I hope Chanel keeps it up!

*Least favorite – NARS Earthshine shadow – chalky white base, unflattering frosty white shimmer on lids, with massive amounts of glitter fall out all over cheeks and face, even with primer and glitter glue. I returned ASAP
*Favorite release – the MAC Star Trek collection got me good. I got 2 lippies, 2 glosses, and 1 shadow. I like all the products, just wish the packaging was a little more creative

Least favorite product you tried this summer: Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Foundation. Sorry. I had gotten a very generous sample from Sephora, used it for over a week, but whenever I would break a sweat, it would break up and even worse, run on me. It may be that my skin just doesn’t “grip” the formula well? Idk, but I couldn’t get it to work on me.
Favorite release this summer: UD Vice Lipsticks! Already have 6 of them, and now looking forward to the Junkie Palette for some fun shades that I’d never buy full-size of. UD has been hitting it out of the park this summer into autumn.

Favorite product you tried during the summer? Estée Lauder Double Wear. I know it’s not a summer foundation but that’s when I first tried it. I suspect it’ll be my go-to this fall and winter.
Least favorite product you tried during the summer? Guerlain Meteorites. I can’t tell the difference when I use them or not!
Favorite release during the summer? Hmm, don’t really have one so I’ll editorialize. My least favorite discontinuation was Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Foundation. Boo!

Your skin tone/coloring: NC15, dry, sensitive, with some redness
Favorite product you tried during the summer? Not a makeup item, but a skincare item. I’ve really been loving the Origins Renewal Serum. I ran out before I had to go down to SF and in that week I wasn’t using it my skin was all ugh and then I picked it up on the way home at my closest Estee Lauder CCO and within a week my skin was completely smooth again.
Least favorite product you tried during the summer? Also skincare because in summer I don’t wear much makeup, but I got the Erborian Ginseng Milk in the SoKo to Tokyo customizable kit and it burned my frikkin’ face! 0/10 would not recommend if you have sensitive skin.
Favorite release during the summer? I don’t know if it counts as summer as it came out end of August online and Sept. 1 in stores, but I’m loving the MAC X Star Trek collection. Since it’s the 50th anniversary I had already gotten some other merchandise (necklace, a dress, etc) so the makeup completed the look XD
Skin tone, coloring: Very pale with cool pink/peach undertones. Hair silver, grey and dark brown.
Favorite product used this summer: ABH Modern Renaissance palette. I have to say I keep calling it the Modern Romance palette and my daughter has to correct me each time.
Least favorite product of the summer: ABH glow kit. The first one with the lightest shades, can’t remember the name. It is still too dark on me and whenever I wear my brother asks me what the streak on my face is.
Favorite launch this summer has to be the UD Vice Lipstick launch. I don’t even remember how many I have purchased for my daughter and myself but it is a lot!
I have too add here that my favorite purchase this summer that I haven’t really used much is the Tom Ford eye shadow palette in Honeymoon. It is so beautiful and I can’t wait to wear it this fall and winter. I also really liked the Chanel summer collection and the fall collection.

Favorite product I tried this summer: Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer and the bareMinerals Sheer Sun Serum Bronzer.
Least favorite product I tried this summer: Lorac Pro 3 Palette. I don’t DISlike it, it just wasn’t a huge wow. It’s a great palette for everyday work looks though.
Favorite release during the summer: I enjoyed the new expanded range of Benefit brow products and Tarte’s new nude-toned blushes. Risqué is one of my favorite blushes right now! Can I say my least favorite release? Kat Von D’s Serpentina palette. I thought she could’ve been way more creative in its execution and color range.
Skin tone/coloring – fair/pink undertone
Favorite product from summer – Never tried before line would be Inglot shadows.
Least favorite – new release the gold Ford Nightbloom powder, just a bad color for me. Product in general GlamGlow power mud. Too drying and small for my taste/overall price. It’s not horrible, but I’ve used better at that price point.
Favorite Summer Release – not including all the new lips out in August? Definitely TFord summer soleil duo blush and moisturecore lips.
My skin tone/colouring: I am N25, with reddish undertones (I have minor redness around the apples of my cheeks, but there’s a definite red tone to my skin!!) Dark brown eyes, with long dark brown hair!!!
Favourite product I tried this summer: Estee Lauder Double wear!! I do conventions around the Toronto area in the summer, And Double wear was the only foundation i’v ever found that withstood all of the swear, and didn’t transfer onto my costumes!! I wear the shade 3N1 Ivory Beige. Which is 10000% My summer shade, Once november comes around and I get a bit more fair, this foundation will be way too brown for me!!
Least favourite product I tried this summer: It Cosmetics Live, Love, Laugh, Vitality face disk. It has a highlight, a blush, and a matte bronzer. I was gifted this by a american friend. And the highlight is too stark on my tan skin (I’ll try it again in february when i’m at my lightest) and looks like a white streak on my cheeks, the bronzer, whenever I wear it, people ask me if i’v been contouring. Which I do not like that it’s obvious enough (And it’s super hard to blend out for me!!) The blush I ADORE. But I can’t justify it!!
Favourite release this summer: I know y’all american’s have had this product for a while now. But us Canadians (at least in my part of ontario!!) are just now getting the essence make me brow. And I’m OBSESSED!!!

Favorite release during the summer? I don’t really keep up with collections because I don’t like the idea of falling in love with limited edition products. I stick to my select faves.

Least: I tried a sheet mask from Target that was pretty bad. Didn’t read the ingredients closely and behold it had SD alcohol and I felt the bad effects immediately

Sorry to hear about your sheet mask experience. Try one from the Leaders collection. They sell them in Ulta. They are amazing!
I’ve tried decent ones from Tony and Moly that were good. It’s just the one I picked up from Target and I know exactly why. SD alcohol. Dries out your skin and that is not good!
Favorite product you tried during the summer? MAC Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base. Afraid to jinx it.
Least favorite product you tried during the summer? Hmm. I usually do a lot of reading-research-youtube before I decide to by anything, so I do not get disappointed often. If I had to choose I’d say Lancôme Juicy Shaker in Mangos Wild. Mind you, it is purely ME, who does not love it. The product is luxurious, it’s the best lip balm I’ve ever tried plus beautiful hue of color. The problem is – it does not last *on me*. At all. Less than an hour 🙁 and I am left with my lips beautifully plumped and soft, but no color, nothing.
Favorite release during the summer? I did not get too many LEs or newly released products this summer, so can’t talk from personal experience. Out of what I’ve seen, however, I’d say Urban Decay has done a great job with their new products, so it would be them.
Your skin tone/coloring: Pale, warm toned, NC-15ish, blonde hair, blue eyes.
Favorite product you tried during the summer? This is a difficult question. I guess I would say my Gucci quad in Ocean Rhapsody.
Least favorite product you tried during the summer? Well, if summer can stretch back to May I would have to say the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I don’t know if I got a bad tube or what (please feel free to point it out if you think I did-I wanted this to work SO much), but the coverage was very patchy and weird. It provided almost no coverage once on and the pigment that there was didn’t so much blend into my skin as it did sit on top of it and sunbathe. If it has to be later than that I would say the Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art-the things that have a cream shadow on one side and a sparkle-y goo on the other. The cream part is awkward to blend because it’s so sticky and it takes a bit to dry down, so once you put it on if you open your eye it gets all in the crease and makes you feel like your eye is being glued open. If that makes sense.
Favorite release during the summer? Can I say none?* I mean, as far as it goes, this wasn’t a season that catered to my tastes. All of the oranges and reds and off-oranges and off-reds and orange-y browns and brown-y oranges. I feel like if another company has a major release of a warm toned palette I may just break down and cry.
*If the blue-green Lancome x Sonia Rykiel palette was better quality, I would have said that.
